besides the excellent chops, I am a big fan of this style of writing. 1:29 - to 1:55 in particular has a bunch of fills and grooves that I find really cool. Very well played AND well written.
@drummah107 Thanks for the comment man! I really do work hard to write interesting and innovative parts. I write each song as an individual. I want to bring out the ideas of the guitar as much as possible. The new Eschaton Full length is pushing my ideas to a new level. I should be tracking it next month. Thanks!
@penispumperpenguin Awesome man, all I hope can hope for is that people enjoy my work and that it inspires them to progress and keep doing what they love doing! More videos on the way.
@astev13 Haha, thanks buddy. Well I'm just always challenging myself to write original parts for the music I work on. I think I of the drums as a melodic and dynamic part of the music. More vids on the way!
@Blastfest03 Hey man, killer video's anytime you post, I always wait for the next and always learn a great deal by watching. Have you ever considered a clinic or home video to assist others in the education of drumming beyond a simple beat or grove? You certainly have mastered the art and always find a new level and you do it without all the meaningless flash and stay focused on what's real! Thanks! Would be nice to learn from you and understand how you disect the dynamics of what you create.
@TitusWV Hey man, it's something i've always wanted to do but never had the backing or means to make it happen. I started writing a book not too long ago so hopefully that will come to fruition one of these days. As far as clinics and an educational DVD I'd love to do them if i had the right backing! Thanks and enjoy the vids
@astev13 i thought the stuff u did with arsis was phenomenal and not to be a dick (but VanDyne cant pull it off for the life of him-lmao i had to say it, i think everyone whose seen them live knows it) but ur drumming is so creative, i cant wait to hear more..
@astev13 Hey man, yea I loved the Arsis record, it was great for me, I had so many options with their writing style. The guitar work was amazing. And yea, Vandyne can't do any of that, he's more a meat and potatoes kind of guy. Not my style at all. But that album will always be a great memory for me. Thanks!!
@DuduChapola Hey man, thanks! I really like this song, it's short and to the point, one of my favs off the CD for sure. The splashes in the video are Agazarian and UFIP. I've gone through a large variety of splashes over the years, trying out lots of combinations. More video's to come!
