i may be wrong, i'll have to check the new codex but im pretty sure that only the Iron Warriors can have the vindicator not the Black Leigon.

i thought with the new codex there's no difference which faction u play cos you're basically allowed everything (tournament legal).

fluffwise though, might be different as its important to some people. e.g khorne army is against using sorcerors etc.

just like generic space marines, as long as they're in the same codex, they can be used as u like
