  • hey sardun, from what you said earlier, i don't know why it's so expensive (it's the labor...?) but usually it'd be around $150 per treatment depending on what treatment it is (Japanese or Keratin Treatment, etc).

and did you already try the straightening treatment already? i know that my friends loved it when they did it in japan. personally, i haven't done it myself, but i will be soon :D also, i'll personally by doing it myself. we'll see how it goes.... have a friend help. good luck!~

  • Did you get it done in the end?

  • You are freaking gorgeous, and I love your eyebrows and hair.

One of my friend has a straighten perm, and I think it lasted somewhat about 8 months? When her hair started to grow out, it was kind of wavy on top and make it look weird when she doesn't want to straightened it. Even getting wet in the rain kept it straight. She has very very very wavy hair, almost /super/ curly.

  • I'm looking for a salon in Los Angeles Ca. I'd like to make me the JHP. could somebody help me?

  • you can go to a salon and do it with a medicine that makes your hair straight for 1 year....i`ve tried it many times and it`s really workingfor me and i really have curly hair.

  • Japanese hair straightening is totally worth it and it's not that bad for your hair unless you do it ALL THE TiME !

  • I got bio ionics done and my hair is beautiful. Its silky and no fizz at all. I highly reccomend it.

  • Haha a year later still getting c omments. Anyway I have also been thinking of getting this done, I'm a guy but it don't make a difference, but this does. Some people have bad results because they're allways dying and perming and doing all this extra stuff, and the Japanese HS ends up ruining their hair/scalp for ever. People have to keep in mind this isnt for everyone, if your constantly messing with your hair, this isnt good, otherwise go for it.

  • I got japanese hair straightening three times. Like the other girls said it saves a lot of money and its very convenient. But once it starts to wear off your hair starts to look funny and the ends start to SPLIT! then your hair just gets really dry and starts to fall out and whenever you wash it the hair feels like gum.

  • its the right thing to do it saves you so much time but you need to talk to a professional before you do it because you have died your hair but i did it today and my hir looks great

  • really?? 400 dollars? in my country it's like 100 or 200 but not each hour...

  • Your hair is soooo beautiful when its curly,i saw it on your other video...please dont do this straightening bullshit !!!

  • I had it done and I loved it!

It really depends on your hair structure... it's different for everyone...

I've never colored my hair, so when I went to the hairdresser she said I had "virgin hair" I think I was a prime candidate for this procedure...

My hair actually looked more healthy, after the treatment because it was so smooth!

    I loved this treatment...

I recommend going into a salon, (make sure they specialize in this treatment) and having the hairdresser look at your hair.

  • DONT DO IT!! i DID IT & MY SCALP HAS NEVER BEEN THE SAME. I HAVE A LOT OF BALD SPOTS. MY HAIR USED 2 BE DOWN MY LOWER BACK BUT MY HAIR FELL GRADUALLY AFTER A COUPLE MONTHS. ONCE YOUR HAIR FOLLICLES ARE DAMAGED LIKE MINE THESERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO 2 GET IT BACK. I BEG U. I WOULDNT WANT 2 WISH THAT ON ANY1 ELSE :(

  • try relaxing your hair? once you do japanese straightening for your hair, its advisble not to colour it. also once your hair starts to grow out it looks a little odd cuz of the different textures so ppl end up straighteneng their roots. it also dries out your hair. ALOT.

  • haha, the kid in the back!

  • it is expensive but its worth every penny!! my mum is from panama so i'm mixed race with dry frizzy hair but after this treatment I was delighted, was amazing!!

  • it is extremely damaging. I have very curly hair and the growing out phase is very awkward, so i basically had to get a pixie cut when i decided i wanted to go natural. It still took me 2 hours of styling with the japanese straightening because it was so damaging and made my hair frizzy.

  • you may want to try the keratin treatment. I have had it done, but it too is expensive. I bought the product and now do it to myself. however, I also just bought the japanese straightener as I have stubborn waves in the back of my head that I hate, so I am hoping the japanese will do it at least for six months. I would be happy with six months. good luck, love your videos.

  • I wouldn't do it. I've thought about it but I think I'd miss my curls. Yours are beautiful, too. It's nice to have the option of blowing it out or keeping it curly.

  • Brazilian hair straightening can be dangerous to your health. They use formaldehyde..which I think they also use on dead people...so yeah..is having straight hair worth risking your health? Only you can answer that I suppose

  • I had it done. and Please do it at a 100% japanese salon, I payed $260 for mine.

  • Comment removed

  • It's not that expensive. go to the actual japanese salon... they dont charge by hour they charge by length. I got my done couple times. it was about 200 to 300 dollars as i had long hair.

  • Hi,

I am a professional stylist offering the excellent Brazilian Keratin Treatment in London! Many happy clients!

£95 FOR ALL LENGTHS/THICKNESS (limited time offer so book now)

    Fulham London location

    Contact for appointment Sam 07904 015 008

  • its very damaging after you re do it. and the brushing it thing isnt tru... you sill have to straight it to keep it straight but it is smoother... but unless your hair s very curly i wouldnt do it...

  • I have very very fine hair! And when I straighten my hair it flairs out in like 5 minutes. And i love my hair straight. But you would miss your curls!

  • 300-1500? that's ridiculous. There are some korean places in LA that does for 150-300 depending on the length of your hair. I did it two weeks ago and I only had to pay 150 cuz my hair is short. Its so worth it cuz you get out of the shower and your hair is straight. Saves you a lot of time in the morning. The process takes a long time though but its all worth it.

  • Hi can you tell me which is a best safe hair flat iron to buy ..i have a fine hair and i dont want to take a risk ;) hope u understand and give me a honest reply ;) thankyou

  • FHI flat iron, just make sure its not too hot

  • omg noooooo stay curly! have you heard of the Curly Girl method? look it up, you won't regret it

  • i think that your wavy hair looks really nice on you, oh well, btw you look a lot like rachel hurd wood

  • you look stunning with your hair curly to be honest i dont think you need that japanesse thing , you could have a perm but it seriously damages your hair and i think uu should just leaave your hair as it is x

  • shes asking about japanese thermal straightening not ur thought about her hair

  • well she is actually asking in the video what do uu think ii should do ? so im just sayng + why the hell uu talkin to me about it ?? theres loads of other people who put so go away :@

  • you are beautiful

  • Isn't just the same as Demiperm??

  • But dont use at home relaxers or reconditioners... only good quality salon ones can get your hair 90 - 100% straight... at home kits only straighten hair about 30%

  • I just looked at your other videos and saw your natural hair... you wouldn't notice the regrowth until it grew out a LOT, like 6+ inches.

  • If your hair is only wavy then the regrowth will not be noticed. If it's very curly, it would be noticeable.

  • try the keratin treatment. it is supposed to last 3-6 mos depending on how you take care of your hair. I had it done in a salon and I love it. however, I bought the product and will do it myself next time. it is sooooooooo good for your hair. good luck

  • HEY.

I have gotten the hair straightening treatment 4 times before, so I have some experience with it. It definintly works, after the treatment your hair will be completely straight with not a single wave. It makes any prep for hair really simple, all I ever do is wash my hair, and that's it. I never even have to brush it, there aren't any knots or anything. I paid around 300 for it, but my treatment was more expensive because I have very long hair. I would definintly recommend this treatment

  • Yes, it will cause your hair SOME damage, because it does use chemicals. However, my hair didn't have that much damage, not anything that was unmanageable. However, keep in mind if you get this treatment done, it will be really hard to style your hair in any other way. Hair after the treatment does not hold curls or waves well at all. Make sure you research on salons well, because 400-600 is really too much.

  • Your curly hair is beautiful! Don't straighten it! Love your eyes as well! xxx

  • you have prettyyyyyy eyes. :)

  • DO NOT GET THE TREATMENT! It damages your hair because of the harsh chemicals whether people say that or not. And then on top of it you end up straightening your hair more often and probably daily because of the roots. It would look retarded having only some of your hair curly. If you care about not damaging your hair I would not recommend this treatment. Please take my word on this.

  • sorry it got a tiny bit to long so i had to separate the post into 3. i love your vids, i hope my post helped atleast a bit:)

  • some of my naturally-curly-haired friends got the same treatment as me, but it looked really unapplealing when their hair started growing out.i get it done for around 100 bucks in japan, but if it costs you 400 dollars its probably not worth it. (you'll have to get it done about 3 times a year if your curls are strong, so thats alot of money your going for!)

  • 4hrs seem long, but i think its deffenitely worth it if you think about the time it'll save you every single day. the treatment usually only last for about half a year which is still worth it for me, but i personally won't recommend it to you because it seems like you have very strong curls. the 'weighing the top down' part is unfortunately deffinitely not true, especially when you have strong curls at the roots.

  • hey:)

im japanese, and ive had this hair streightening thing done for the past...7years or so, so i think i've had alot of experience with this. i personally can NOT live withought this, cause it just makes my life so much easier. yes, its damaging, but the degree really depends on the type of your hair. another thing to consider is that the smell stings when you're getting it done.

  • hey i got my hair japenesed straightened it does work very good the only thing that sucks is when your routes grow because then you have curly hair on top and then straight on bottom but when that happen you just make another appointment for the salon to touch it up or you can touch it up with your straightener i recommend to get it fixed at the salon.. when i did it it was 500 dallars and it was totally worth it now i found a better salon and they do it for only 350

  • i did a korean one at a salon, its really good ... and $400 is too much 4 that its only $100 dollars total in korea its pretty much a perm that straightens hope i helped!

  • just get regular relaxer from cvs :) FOR FREE !

  • This is exactly like a African American relaxer your not suppose to sweat, scratch, wash your hair the day b4 u get your hair done. Their not suppose to use the product at the ends of your hair this will break it off for sure, the treatment is not permeant when your grows out the chemicals it will not be straight anymore, be-careful your can become dependent on relaxers, plus these japanese treatment is ripping you off big time

  • Comment removed

  • DONT DO IT.. i got it done and the whole top underneath and bottom parts of my hair broke completely of plus whem my hair grew back in its was 5x curlier than when i went in to get it done... Overall i woud say dont get it done its just way to damaging

  • you have gorgeous eyes!

  • i like your contacts xD

ok the chemicals can kinda burn your scalp a little and it takes hours to complete depending on how thick your hair is.... and it is also a few hundred dollars depending on how thick your hair is. it is VERY awesome i want to get it done but it is very expensive... and... they put this shea butter stuff in your hair which makes it SUPER soft! and they they shampoo and condition your hair then they flat iron it and do the process again.. hehe im only 13 xD

  • i got japanese hair straighnening done and i used chi and it really works and really worth it. i just got it straitened it with a chi and it cost me 130 dollars i think it was worth it

  • Hey, i sent you a message about this. Forgot to mention that your curly hair is beautiful! You don't even have to brush it! After you wash it, it's straight :D. Nooo brushing required. After you sleep on it, you might get tangles. Use a serum!

  • Don't use brazilian hair straightening! It uses formaldehyde that is a VERY harmful chemical that can harm you and your hair and also spreads to the people around you. I have japanese straightening and it just uses heat to recondition your hair and most salons use liscio which doesn't contain any formaldehyde. Don't give up because there should be more salons around that offer cheaper straightening. Good Luck! :)

  • you can get it done it will be perfect just if ur black dont get it done its NOT for black people

  • LOL

  • if you have used any chemical on your hair you should not rebond your hair!! do the rebonding after one year gap till first time Your used chemical!!

  • hie !! i have JHS n the result is wonderful it doesnt damaged my hair at all.. u jus have to use good hair conditioner n chose good salon n .. The product that was used on my hair was LOLANE Rebonding kit ... I m so happy with the result :)

  • Hi are you still thinking of straightened your hair.

Have you heard about the Brazilian blowdry?

Last for 3 months and its much cheaper then the JHS

  • btw! after u've gotten it, DO NOT heat treat ur hair! (like curl it,straith it more etc) it will distroy your permanent. I didin't have that much of a diffrence when it grew back. I got it done in thailand in a saloon. Both times,I got bleaching and straightning for about 33 $,so if ur ever going to asia, it will be cheaper to do it there.

  • i have it for the moment, tottally worth it! this is my second time, if u do not have coloured hair/or bleached then it won't damage that much. My is bleached and straightned, and therfor my hair is kinda frizzy and wierd when its wet. but when i didin't have it coloured it was just great! very simple! I do not have a hard time brushing my hair anymore. so unless u have bleached hair, go for it!

  • what about dudes

  • OHMYGOD

    NO!

    your hair looks incredible curley

    PLEASE!

once you do the perm thing

    your curls wont come back:(

  • I specificly asked that question because I've perviously tried chemical straightening and I am no longer interested because if i get into water it will poof up and become frizzy so that is why i specifically asked about the JHS sin'ce it wont get frizzy and puff out like crazy. Thanks

  • ha, you should just get your hair chemically straightened, it lasts for a year or 2 and it's only like 100 dollars

  • I would love, love to do the JHS. Can someone please tell me of a good salon in NYC. If you had a good experience with that salon let me know. I'm desperate. Thank you so much

  • hey, if you're stil looking for a good salon in NYC, then Hair Club I.B is GREAT! their JHS costs only 150$!

i got it done 2 weeks ago....my hair is perfectly straight, even after i washed it, i just let it dry naturally, and it's still perfectly straight=)

and my hair was crazy before that, it was like afro hair, super curly and unmanageable...

i recommend this salon, but if your hair is very damaged, they won't do JHS on you....

  • i haven't had anything done like that but i have really poofy, curly hair and i'm only 14. My hair is just below my shoulders so if anyone has an idea of a cheaper perm str8 thing, please let me know!

  • i dunno if u have alrdy done the straightening but i am soo shocked with the price. Here in thailand even with such a top brand like shiseido, it costs only like --$35 to $70 depending on your length, and it lasts until ur hair grows out. so if price isn't a prob i recommend it cuz u won't even need to comb ur hair when u go out... try shiseido...ps if u have really fragile hair then take care cuz this straightening tends to induce hairfall...

  • I am of mixed nationality including black and I just wanted to know if this would work on me? Any of you had it done with long curly thick mixed hair? Please let me know. I live in Southern California and looking for a good place to go to.

  • i've had it done on a trip to the philippines to visit my family. i have naturally curly hair and very frizzy.. had this done n my hair did not frizz at all in humid conditions.. it was perfect n lasted until it grew out. (2 years). only thing is i had my hair bleached then colored.. my hair was bubblegum when it was wet.. only downside. but i still loved the results

  • where did you get it done? im going there soon and im thinking of getting it done there

  • i had a semi-rebond done because my hair is naturally straight like yours. i was very happy because it lasts for a year and it only costed me P1,400, around $29. :)

  • here in the philippines it's called hair rebonding. in some salons it starts at Php3,000.. around $61.. :)

  • dont ruin your hair with something so permanant......just get a good flat iron..........BUT have you also looked into Joico Mane Tamer?

  • your hair is sooooooo pretty without being so straight :( dont do it your honestly beautiful with or without straight hair but dont waste your money you look BEAUTIFUL with curly hair!!

  • I actually had the CHI done back in December and I loved it. My hair is naturally thick, coarse and curly and it was pin straight and shiny. My only problem now is that my roots are horrible! If you're roots aren't as curly as the rest of your hair, you could probably last longer..but I was ready to get it re-done back in May. Mine cost $300 without tip. It was well worth the money.. especially if you only have to go back every 8-12 months. Just so you know, there is NO curl left in your hair!

  • ive been wanting to try the japanese thing too, but i'm not so sure if i'm willing to bargain with the kind of money its worth.

ive been reading reviews & alot of people like it, but others say it nearly ruined their hair. just make sure you have it done by someone that specializes in it. i think that's pretty much the key.

  • You hair is too pretty to permanently straighten!!! Don't do it!

  • Im Puerto Rican, long, curly, big, shakira like hair+ more ringlets. I did the Jap. therm. strainghtener by chi. I live in Chicago and it cost 500 and it took 5 hours. IT WAS STRAIGHT,hot rollers, hair spray, curling irons would not curl my hair after this. curls fell out after an hr. Finally i found this spray called flat out that helped hold the curls but i didnt likefregrance. after 2 yrs. I missed my curls so much but glad I did it once. I think you should go for it if u already havent!

  • honey...u r soooo beautiful ...everything u have right now...your eyes, face, voice and hair is 200% perfect....please keep it that way! my 2 cents!

  • wow....thank you. You are so beyond sweet!!:)

  • Hi, i did the JHS 2 times.. the first time i paid 200 and it was so beautiful.. the second time at the same place i tried to baragin for 150 ( b/c many salons offer it for pnly that price) and it didnt come out so pretty ( it was another lady who did it for me and had bad attitude.. she was then kicked out). However i just did the keratine 2 days ago..i havent washed my hair.. so i cant make judgements yet

  • There are ammonium, sodium hydroxide, guanadine hydroxide as chemical straighteners. Is JPS different?

  • 400?

    wow

i had my hair done for $200.

it looks really good after they finish up on it .

    but this is in B.C.

  • wait, where did you get it in B.C ???

  • lol are u wearing contacts?

if not,ur eyes are like omg..no dw i aint a stalker. but seriously..ur eyes are real beautiful..whata blessing you got :D...nice eyes!!

  • Strange how the Japanese would have come up with this considering they all have dead straight hair!

  • I know that's funny....

  • you are really beautiful

  • Thank you!:)

  • I'm 13 I have some of the most frizziest, curliest, poofiest, knotiest hair there is! It takes me probably an hour to straighten my hair. But say if i'm like running around or something it'll poof back up! If I got this done it wouldn't do that anymore.. ? I would probably get this for the school year would you think it's a good idea for me?

  • im in the same situation as you and im 13! ha ha!

im trying to get my mom to say yes :p

but i have had lots of older friends do it and they said they were happyy with it. soo i hope that helps!

  • i'm 13 live in MN and want to get the japanese hair straightening done i will get the money myself but does anyone know a good salon around Apple Valley, Burnsville, somewhere close or even in the cites? and do i need parental concent?

  • Hi girl, listen to me: you don't need any hair straightening because you're just beautiful...

    your eyes are freakin' amazing

    your skin is pretty cute

your voice sounds like an angel

    you are P-E-R-F-E-C-T

  • from wat i learned from this treatment is that it does not damage your hair at all. the only thing that i guess you can get a bit annoyed of is having to not wash your hair for 3-6 days, and that you hav to touch up depending on how long your hair has grown during that time. also it is expensive depending on how think ur hair is and how much hair you have, i also want advice on extensions lol perfect vid to ask right lol

  • you have a nice eye colour

  • I'm getting it done next week!!!

  • im also thinking about doing the Japenese straightener thing,,im only 13 and i have wavy and SOMETIMES straight-ish hair ( very rarely) i want to get my have permently straightened before the summer so i can go swimming with my friends then quickly take a shower and go out to dinner with out having to be self concius about how my hair is gonna look when it drys. i also want it for camp for basically the same reason! so if anyone has any suggestions please tell me!!

  • what if your hair is really thick and curly would it still stay would my hair frizz up what will happen????

  • no it gets it really flat but if you have thick hair ur hair is gonna stay thick it'll just be flat-err

  • I have done the Yuko japanese system the results were amazing (no damage) at first, however the regrowth looks gross. You need to get it redone every 3-6 months depending on your hair growth rate. I use to straighten the roots a bit. if you change your mind and want your curly hair back you will need a DRASTIC cut. These permanent straighteners have chemicals in them and getting it done several times a year will definetly have a negative effect in the future.

  • I use a flat iron called Phenix its a Korean hair straighter, and it is pretty good, especially for my curly hair. It has lasted me These past 2 years, and still is. I've heard Chi breaks easier, I think its because of off brand wannabes.

  • i would never ever do japanese hair straightening. i would just spend the extra effort straightening my hair with a cermaic flat iron. just my personal opinion.

  • Go to an Asian hair salon :D

    Liscio is the best.

  • Had this done 5 months ago, & it's the best $ I ever spent ($400+$100tip)! My naturally frizzy hair is now perfectly smooth and soft and silky -- long, gray (yes, gray!), straight cut, & fabulous! It's impervious to rain/fog/humidity/swimming, and the 4" of growout looks like "body" -- if I'm feeling picky, a quick flat-iron touchup at the roots is all that's needed. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!

  • you are so pretty!

  • I think your best bet is to go to a Korean salon and get something called the "magic straight perm" along with a "volume perm" at the roots for effortless "oompf", which gives you the straightness & shininess, w/out the flatness. Prices are half of what japanese straightening treatments cost, at around 100-180 each, and because they are used within the Korean community, they are not overpriced or overhyped. it's how a lot of asian girls get gorgeous sleek hair.

    just my 2 cents!

    Good luck!

  • I'm Canadian. I got the treatment done at an Asian hair salon. It's much cheaper; prices at Asian salons range from $120-$150. It's much cheaper than what normal hair salons, which was $400 when I asked. After the straightening process, my hair was smooth, straight and shinier than ever! I felt that my hair was healthier after the treatment. My only complaint is you can't do anything with your hair for 3 days after the process. That includes styling, putting into a ponytail, or getting it wet.

  • Where in Canada are you? I'm in Calgary and am interested in having this done as well.

    Thx

  • I'm in Winnipeg. My friends tell me that they have relatives who own hair salons in Calgary.

I would recommend you to ask local Asian hair salons about pricing for chemical straightening. If there aren't any close by, pick up a phone book and see if you can find any. It should be around $150 or less, depending on hair length.

  • does this work on Black hair

  • Yes, it works on pretty much every type of hair.

There is a youtube video showing it being done on African, Caucasian, and Asian hair.

  • Actually, there have been mixed reviews with this treatment on black hair. I don't think you should do it.

  • I just read that is does work.. but...you have to start with natural hair first b/c it doesn't work as well on relaxed hair. I'm not to crazy about relaxers myslef...I mean whats the point of relaxing hair that will get frizzy with water....hummmm

  • Ive gotten japenese straightening done

i went to this place in queens called the hair village it cost bout 200 plus 20% tip but it depends on the length and texture of your hair. the weight of the straight hair doesent really have an effect on the curly hair its pretty anoying because its just the roots, the top of your head has curly hair going out to the side and then it just drops straight... it is worth it because you dont have to do anything to it and in the humidity it stays straight

  • anyone know a good place for guys in boston?

  • its pretty expensive, so go somewhere not american. damage wasnt terrible for me. after my hair started growing out (i have really curly hair) i started using hair curlers or i straightened the roots. its not bad, i say it is worth it.

  • Don't get it done at an American salon. You will pay A LOT of money. You should go to an Asian salon, like maybe a Korean one. They usually charge $100-$150. They do a really good job because Asian women have it done all the time.

  • An Asian salon?

  • Yeah. I live in Dallas and there are a lot of asian districts where they have for example, Korean restaurants, banks, grocery store, insurance, ect, all Korean. Chinese district, Korean, Indian....

  • so it's permanent for ever, untill it re-grows, like your re-groth would be your natural hair? but other wise it's always going to be straight right..? lol

    thankz.

  • i have had my hair japenesed straightened 6-7 times now and id never turn back!!! and if you live near new york city queens area i know a place that will do it PLUS a cut for 200 dollars- and they do an AMAZING JOB!!!! let me know!

  • Really? I live in queens, NY. Can you tell me where it is? I'm not really sure if I want to straighten my hair permanently though, because my hair is already kind of straight, but I might have second thoughts.

    Thank You

  • Are you talking about "Hair Club I.B"

  • i've gotten japanese straightening done, w/ the chi products and it rlly is worth it !

mine was $400 and it took about four hours.

but it's worth it, it hardly if any damaged my hair.

    but there is a negative..

mine right now is currently growing back and when i blow dry my whole roots are curly and juss not pleasant so i have to spend about 30 min. straightening still.

but it has been 8 months since i've gotten it donee.

i reccomend keratin, it's better and cheaper.

  • so did you end up getting it done?

  • Don't have it done, your hair is perfect as is... Actually you look too perfect. You have really pretty eyes too ^^ But more importantly (as you read from these other guys comments) that there are long term effects of this treatment that aren't healthy for your hair.

  • japanese hair straightening is woooooooorth it. i had it two months ago and i love it since all i have to do is use the hair dryer and not the straightener.

  • Hey I do the Keratin system and is Phenomenal. I've been doing it for almost two years and I do it every 6 months and the more you do it the less you need it because with time your hair stays straight. I would def recommend this out of all systems!!

  • hey ..im puerto rican and got this done before about 3 years ago and till this day my hair is STILL FALLING OUT and i know its normal for hair to fall out but my hair is just FRIED and wont stop coming out and feels so unhealthy and before this my hair was nice texture it was just so nappy ..i wouldnt recommend it .. i regret it.

  • hello can anyone tell me if the keratin system is better than this japanese one? Thanks

  • i`ve d0ne it b4 wen am in the philippines it only c0st me r0ughly around 20 to 30 dollars only,..hahaha very cheap ryt?!,.but its perfect!!!..i`ve spent 6hours in the sal0n..,

what i l0ve about it ,.it made my hair m0re manageable,..what i hate bout it after the treatment d0ne u shud n0t rinse ur hair 4 bout 2 to 3 days!!hahahaha.....

    but its PERFECT!!!!!,..

    cherrs^__^

  • where did you get it done?

  • Hmm i got this procedure done when I was in Thailand... to tell you the truth i love this and only paid about 100 US dollars over there. Sense i have such dry, curly, course hair it gave my hair more of a silky smooth feel and actually made it a lot lighter for me. Sense it seems your hair is more healthier then mine i feel that the growth and damaging effects wont be bad. After it had worn off my hair grew normal a little fried at the ends but still in good condition.

    Best luck to you.

  • umm...

straightening perm is just like straightening your hair with an iron, it just stays permanent..

o_o and in korean salon its only 200$

hehe 600 $ is just a rip off..

  • wow, you have really nice eyes.

but I don't think you should do it. Its your choice but i wouldn't I think you will most likely regret it you have very nice hair. the Japanese straightening will basically dull and dry it out.

  • I've done it, and it's wonderful. Lasted 11 months.

  • DON'T DO IT -bcuz you have already colored your hair. I just had it done, 5 days ago and after waiting 3 days to wash it, my hair looked crimped and it curls up when I brushed or combed it. My hair is one big frizz ball and if I dare to straighten it, I am sure it will break off. Anybody with some advice on how to hide this damage while my hair grows out?

  • hey girl its me again. This process is called rebonding and it does make ur hair very straight but honestly it is damaging to ur hair. It is nice because u don't have to flat iron ur hair until it grows out and depending how culy ur hair is it will show on the roots. If you do choose to do it i would recommend actually goin to an asian salon because they really specialize in rebonding and it's cheaper and make sure u do regular protein treatments afterwards to repair ur hair from protein loss.

  • Don't do it!!! You've such beautiful hair. My hair was like yours 2 months ago until I got that Japanese straightening. It turns out too flat on my head. Missed my natural hair volume and bounce. regretted my vanity. My hair still as flat and straight as chopsticks! The good ; my hair more silky and manageable. Desperately looking for solutions to bring back my natural bounce. Realised too late I only need a good hair cut and softener treatments. I give everything to have your hair!!!

  • Any salons in Glendale CA?

  • you have really lovely eyes.

is the chemical straightener bad if you're doing it at home.

im gonna get it, the japanese chemical straightener. is it good or bad.

    plz reply. thank you.

  • Hi there...from my advice...don't do it...It cost A LOT of money and as soon as your hair wiil grow back you will need to redo it to keep you hair straight...because if you are like me and your hair begins to curl from the roots then after all your hair wiil follow...why? because the roots of your hair is the "base" that will keep your hair straight...it cost alot of money and every 2-3 months you need to redo it...just keep to straighting your hair the old good way...Rusk straightner rocks!

  • it just goes straight. it's also harder to brush when wet. i reaaaaally don't think it's a good idea. i'd rather have the option to wear my hair curly or straight whenever i like. my hair started thinning sooo much and it lost the bounce n lustre. it took 2 years to completely grow out and now i LOVE my hair - even thoughit is difficult to manage sometimes. after getting it done, my hair started breaking and i don't even process my hair at all! it was scary. stick to the chi flat iron, love it.!

  • DON'T DO IT! regardless of what people have said, it IS damaging to your hair - any chemical treatment is! especially one as intense as rebonding (japanese hair straightening). they break the bonds of your hair n then straighten it out n then bond it over so it stays that way. i used to get it done once a year almost and the regrowth looks horrible. it makes your hair PIN STRAIGHT - super flat at the top and stiff at the bottom, no volume and worst of all, you can't curl it cuz...

  • it really does depend on your hair quality, i have done it four times and i have very thick and dense asian hair that is slightly curly

i dont find that my hair gets stiff at the bottom, and maybe its because i have so much hair that afterwards i do still have some volume, but that's just my hair. i find that it makes my hair shiner because it is actually straight now as opposed to being frizzy and curly, but then again, thats just my hair.

  • It's not damaging, unless you have hair in bad condition such as chemically enhanced. I would have it done by a professional. I got mine done only for 180 and my hair was to my waist, but that's when japanese straightening barely hit the market years ago. I know a lot of Asian salons that do them for cheap and they're good at it.

  • Is there one is Midland Texas or Dallas?

    Please reply

  • I'm sorry, I wouldn't know because I live in Southern California. Check out Asian salons around you.

  • ya you should do it. Your hair wont be frizzy and as soon as you wash your hair its smooth and straight, not frizzy and dry

  • Your curly hair is so freakin' beautiful!!!!! You are crazy woman! :) Please do not do the straightening treatment!

  • WOW. U look so pretty.U look like SNOWHITE. (I'm not a japanese gilr^^)

  • sorry but i just have 2 say- that child in the backround is adorable!!!!

  • we offer different options and LEVELS with Japanese straightening. So sometimes it cost less to get it done. You can get more info on our website (web site address is on our youtube page on every video)

  • -3- also, japanese straightening is completely different from straight perm, so don't try to do it by yourself. straight perm usually lasts like a month at most.

  • -2- I have same sort of hair as you do, and I used to straighten it every 8-10 months. I also cut my hair once in a while, because ends get damaged after a while. By the way, the cost for straightening your hair in japan is 100 dollars, average. i guess there isn't enough competition in North america yet. But from my experience, the cheaper you pay for straightening, the more likely your hair will be damaged faster.

  • I've done that several times in Japan. It's so easy to deal with your hair after straightening and feels so nice. If you have long hair, it's more likely to get damaged at ends, but compared to using a hair iron everyday, it's a lot easier on your hair. After four or five months, you will notice your new hair growing. It doesn't seem like you have very thick natural curl, so the difference between your straightened hair and new hair shouldn't be obvious.

  • My friends have done Japanese straightening and are very happy with it. Hair is always straight. They say that the loss is less and no split ends. I have curly hair but i think straight fits me better. I am considering Japanese treatment but to scared to damage it. I had done Brazilian hair relaxation which takes off freeze for 2 months. They say it's less chemicals. I think blow-drying and ironing damages hair even more than those chemical products.

  • i would have to disagree. with japanese hair straightening you only have to do it once a year, thats one chemical treatment a year compared to several chemical treatments a year. if you're worried about heat damage, unless your hair is very very fine and weak, i dont really see how ironing it once would damage it as much as you think it would.

  • Your gorgeous

But i think you should keep your natural hair , well im not sure what that is Lol ,

but in another video you had gorgeous Curly hair. Keep That i reackon (Y)

  • your really really really beautiful 8|

erm tbh i dont know alot about this stuff. but i have a feeling that the chemicals they put in that stuff is probably very damaging, but i wouldnt know cos i have neevr had it done :/

    goood luck xxxx

  • type in your search for youtube milstan feather flat iron and it is called thermal relaxing

  • i used to have wavy hair and i got the japanese hair straightening i got it a couple years ago but for some reason it's still straight. it's a little wavy but you couldn't tell the difference.

  • oh, please don't. i love your curly hair. you might regret your decision if you do.

  • If you like your curly hair at all I wouldn't do it. It may not grow back with the same texture as you have now. As soon as it starts to grow out you will have to straighten your hair around the roots. Be really careful about where you get it done, relaxing your hair can damage it soo badly if the person doesn't know what they are doing. I personally wouldn't have it
