when i do the layer with color and apply the color or the soft light mode on it, the white light get color BUT as well remains a color shadow over the black, where I painted with the brush randomly as u do, that doesnt happen to u, your background stays perfectly black after u apply a mode to the color layers. Y this happens with me?

I love the fucking Pen tool. It makes lining and coloring so simple and awesome and lovely. But if you really suck at it, I'm glad you're admitting it and still using it rather than never giving it a shot and giving up after many failed attempts :)

@1Joegibb Sadly no. Elements are a cheaper and low-rated version than its big brother, Adobe Photoshop.

When I apply the paintbrush, then select "Color" - it does what your tutorial does... except for also leaving a stain on the black background for parts I've swooshed over with the brush. Maybe that's because I only have Adobe Photoshop CS1? Does the same for Soft Light and all the other variations too. Irritating. Nevertheless.. cool tutorial. You really are a young pro wizard at this stuff - been looking at some of your other tutorials.

Yeah, mine doesn't have that either, but it's not a huge deal.

You can link al lthe layers and click on "Merge linked"

But CTRL-E (Merge down) is much faster.

Hi Mate, can u tell me one thing , when i uss pen tool and i want to strock paht , my efect is that i have paht the same in each point.

When i look on your move , i see when u strock paht u have on your lines on start wide line and in middle u have fatt line , and at the ent agein u gave wide line, MY line is only fat at all line ;/ can't to wide on bouth sides.

My english is bad so if udony understand i can sand u some screens :)

I found out that by adding an outer glow to the finished product enhances the neon look, try messing around with it :)

Yeah sure ok this is a common problem what you want to do is: When in photoshop click on the brushes. Then click on the thing that you do when change the brush. There should be a little triangle somewhere looks like the play button on a mp3 player. Then go to reset brushes. It should work from there just make sure you have all the settings as i do.

I believe the problem you have is that when you stroke the path it asks you if you want to stimulate the pen pressure: you want to check that box. It makes it have the fading look :)

@Ellyze change ur brush size, that might help, the hardness only changes if the edges of the brush are soft or hard ^^

i used the pen tool and kinda traced a pic of a face and the hair (strand by strand kinda)(stroke thing with the pen tool, white)(black bg)

and used a blending mode - multiply

, so its like a line drawing with the hair red/yellow/orange was simple but looked good

Hi this is a common problem what you want to do is go to your brushes and load the brushes all over again close photoshop and open up again and should be good :)

new layer

then make a spiral over the whole body or just an arm og the head or whatever ...

then right click and press stroke path > ok

and then grab your eraser and erase every second time the line crosses the body(part) ..
