Many people here in the West would say they were just servants of the tyran Stalin, but they were heroes who gave their blood to save their country [and many others] from Fascism. US and Great Britain played their role, but I guess without the sacrifice of millions of Russians, there would be no victory.
The victory was no made by Stalin.He was the greatest obstacule.He sent to kill the best officers that didn't have the best loyalty to communism and only the less experienced,fanatics and stalinists were leading an enormous army.Hitler had officers that were in many times not 100 % loyalty,because they had old prussian mind and he argued many times with them(Blitzkrieg).But they had experience and Hitler used them.

He first fought in Spain, with Soviet comrades alongside him, then in France in 1940 when Stalin was kissing Hitler's arse, and it was a lot harder without the Russians!
