  • so stitched and floating geom? and I want to sign up to 3Dmotive but I dont have much experience with UDK, I've used it a little. I use the CryEngine 3 sdk quite a bit and 3ds max 2012, would I be able to take what I learn from 3d motive e.g. modular workflow and use it in the cryengine 3? apart from changing the scale since the engines probably use different scale.

  • I need a guide on more complex objects.

  • Thank you very much! Video was very informative!

  • DOES NOT WORK HELP!

  • Should I make collision exactly size as object or a bit bigger?

  • @izvarzone a bit bigger because then the player wont go into the object

  • ok i get it now when object is too small so in dimensions one is hsowed as 0 collision wont work otherwise it's ok

  • i have checked both ways and in both in udk shows me 0 primitives for collision and i can go throught the object. What is wrong??

  • For everyone having problems to export collision while using fbx format, just try to export in .ase, it worked fine for me...

  • whats UDK?

  • @HJProjects Unreal Developement Kit - used for the creation of free or commercial Games in Unreal Engine 3 - its free to use as long as you dont want to earn money with your Game.

  • @Landiron It's actually free up until you've earned 50.000$! After that Epic Games charges you I think 25% of the income!

  • edible Polly? oh god, you cannibals! ;D

  • examples with Maya please

  • Im doing this in maya, pretty sure i did everything right, my mesh is a large wall with 3 arches in it for the player to walk through, but when i import both my static mesh and collision mesh, it still just puts a colission box around the whole thing? My collision mesh is made up of simple boxes with a gap in between them for the arches

  • @hathead300 Post a picture of it.

  • ye cant wait for maya
