Sony Vegas Shaky Camera Tutorial for fs vids

Good tutorial, but if you click on the first little diamond and make a change, the change will stay the same for the rest of the video unless you change that aspect. Also, you can use the shift, ctrl, and such to copy and paste diamonds so that you don't have to keep repeating doing it, just C&P ;D

@whgage I do AMVs and i think the quesy cam effect would be a good way to do a few effects like in old films at the end at the cinema ud see the ends of the reel, i think this effect would do good for that, you just dont see the broader picture

The point of a shaky cam effect is to make it seem like the force of the object near the camera would be so great it made the camera shake. Go watch any Hollywood movie, anytime you see a cg ship or something pass by, the screen will shake. now do you want the actual camera to be shaking NO, because then the animators can not animate something if the camera is all over the place. God damn you are stupid.

To make it less shaky, simply make the movements less in the keyframes. You have control of where, how often and how much. Experiment till you get the feel you want.

@05naruto05 These days some video processing software comes with image stabalization, but i supopose in sony vegas you could use the technique to stabalize you would just need to keep the focus of the camera in centre by positioning the image at each frame.

That mens your Framerate is 0 if everything freezes. BTW fs9 requires at least 64mb graphic card

It's hard to get a realistic shake on vegas. You might want to use Paint Shop Pro's animation shop. It has a realistic shake to it. also, Sound a bit corny, but if you have a really large LCD/Plasma screen like 50 inches or bigger, you can play your file as a video then use a camcorder and zoom and shake by video taping it. it works great.

if you get bad frame rate in previews just select the parts your vid u need to preview and store into cache so it has full frame rate. i think in order to do so you need to let it play at least once.

ohhh as a preview, where the preview window is on the sony vegas interveiw on the top right of the video preveiw section there are several dots click and hold then drag the video preview section, then you can make it bigger by going to one of the corners and dragging, and just drag it to make it the size of the screen
