When we speak of Race, we must remember that their is actually 1 race in which mankind originates from. This is the Negroid race, however it is not to say that one is superior or inferior over any modern day race, this is just a fact!
Take the Negritos as mentioned b4 in my previous discussions. This is a black tribe that has inhabited the Phillipines & Thailand for over 6000 years (The 1st settlers in Asia). The 1st settlers in India came from Ethiopia, known today as the Dalits/Untouchables!

moors are mostly berber but have african and arab mixtures, there not black africans! the tuareg tribe have more african blood than the rifains tribes who have next to none african blood but neither are concidered black africans! you have to understand that in africa some one with a drop of african blood is not considered black like in america where mariah carey is seen as black! you have black-moors who are freed slaves in mauritania, they are berberized africans and disliked by many african!

Remember this, as you mention Arabs, I will take you back to Persia. The first Persians, the original Persians were dominated by a Negroid race known as the Elamites.
The Elamites were related to the more Negroid stock as seen in most artifacts, where their hair is thick, short & like lambs wool! The Elamites also belonged to the Negritic race, this race covered most parts of Asia in Pre Ancient times.

BENIN wasn't a Kingdom in acient times, it was an empire extending from OKAH and ONITSHA in recent Anambra state, all through the DELTA and EDO regions to the recent day BENIN Republic via many of the recent day ONDO, southern part of OGUN and the whole of LAGOS states. It's a known fact that Benin was established three hundreds of years before common era(BCE).With two dynasty and two republican kings. Ogiso and the Oba dynasty.The Ogiso dynasty produced over 15 kings whom were called the rulers of the skies.

People will always try an alter the course of history for 1 reason or the other, but the truth will always surface! Yes but when the first white man came to benin city and met ekawa the great he was in the middle of his fight to break away from the "emperor of hio" they even fought with benin against their forces when benin broke away. and they have shango pendants from that period but none after, only found in oyo empire.

Your debates are interesting, the 1st Europeans 2 come 2 the Kingdom of Benin were the Portuguese, then the Spanish. Along the lines, the Dutch also explored the Benin Kingdom, but their length of stay was short lived & the British est. their presents in the south of Nigeria soon after. Regarding the break away/pendants I can only assume that during the "Punitive Expedition" when the Britsh fought off/looted/burned down are mighty Kingdom, they did have other Naija tribes as their allies.

by the time of that though the sokoto and self hating mohamedan yoruba had destroyed metropolitan oyo and everything around it so the chance of them planting 600 year old artifacts is unlikely, plus it was as irony would have it hausa soldiers who destroyed benin, had they not come to the obas gate with thousands of them and others, they would have lost.

But there is no doubt about eko was controlled by the oba of benin well until the 1860s. I have book where the white man admits the oba tells him he cannont open trade to england unless the oba of benin is consulted. they go to war without their queens permission and lost to benin's canons.

But oranyan was the one to ring in the oba dynasty too ancient benin and he was the alaafin of oyo at the time and im sure not the first, probably just the most memorable like oromtopo and tela olofiran (shango). I wonder though if they used a similar script in benin to the nsibidi though, those empires were big and had to have some written records to maintain the large amount of trade and knowledge for architecture and metallurgy

In short, their were many great Kingdoms across W. Africa and Cen Africa. When the British arrived, they came to divide and conquer. Their main objective was to extract all natural resources, from the Gold coast, Ivory Coast, and other parts that produced coco etc. Once that mission was accomplished, and all the African Kingdoms were conquered, their would only be one Kingdom left. This would be the Kingdom of all Kingdoms, hence the Unired Kingdom!! Long live the Benin legacy.

Not only was Eko controlled by the Oba of Benin, but during the time of Dahomey, Benin City was the Capital of Dahomey. Togo, Republic of Benin, the South of Nigeria and a small part of Ghana was formely known as Dahomey.Its true what your saying about the white man having to consult the Oba b4 opening trade. The Europeans were mesmerised by the administration of the Benin Kingdom which is why Europe was trying to establish a link.

I especially love picture, it has not been shown fully on this video the one with the arrival of the portugese in the Edo court about 5 centuries ago, 1504 I think to be precise with all the chiefs dressed in white and the Oba at the middle dressed in red recieving them.
