Standard of living in the US is poorer compared to many other industrialized countries.. and the gap in standards of living between different racial groups are even larger...People do look at the economy but the first impression you can get of other countries when you're a child is based on what you see from that country. Anime for Japan, movies for the US for ex.

I honestly would prefer music to only be strictly "old school" (to me that's the good stuff from late 80's-early 2000's). With ONLY the exception of Clazziquai, Epik High, and other remarkable artists (Korean, American, etc.) who can freely do as they please.

I don't even bother to listen to my radio anymore, because I ALWAYS hear the SAME overplayed songs from the SAME overrated artists on EVERY single station. It's a complete freakin' nightmare.

Sadly, entertainment always ends up this way.

I assume you're from America, and so that's most likely because 99% of Commercial Radio Stations today are owned by a single company, more or less. All these stations use a standard format, KISS, WINC, HOT, those phrases that come before a station usually mean it's part of the conglomerate and that they will play certain songs in certain orders; over and over again. It's definitely a problem, but no one has come up with a really good solution yet.
