That's $500 you could write off on your federal tax return.  That's $500 you would spend to ensure vital services like police and education are maintained instead of increasing your property taxes even more.

We need a constitutional amendment removing the ability to go into debt or create a deficite.

There already is one, that's why we're in this mess. Pennsylvania already CAN'T go into debt.

Do we teach that in school? I don't remember studying the Pa Constitution & only briefly the U.S. Constitution. Perhaps they should be taught more extensively along with the federalist & anti federalist papers.

You raise an excellent point. I know in my high school experience, we had only one semester of government. I think we would do well to have a citizenry that is better informed of its rights and responsibilities and government structure.

Established political structures (such as those demonstrated by the Democratic and Republican parties) are no longer in the best interest of the people.

It is because of them that those whose political views are of an independent nature are shut out completely.

It is time for a new voice to emerge to speak for the people.

I'm afraid that space does not allow for me to completely explain what I had in mind. I am in the process of compiling a document stating my views in what I think should be done. When it is completed, I will make it public. Thank you for your interest.
