I have a question. In order to have unlocked Duo, you have to have beaten the Black Joe, Black Roaders, and Black Devil right? Because the special parts don't show up until you do. Do they challenge you randomly? Would it be possible to start a race, then quit if one of them doesn't show up, and repeat until they do?

@SIFAssassin it's random to get them to challenge you i dont know about quiting all the races are easy to beat. beat them all get the ? boxs and you get the intro then go into VS mode sadly to play as him but if i remember corretly you can use the parts in grand prix mode

what version is this, PAL? I had the NTSC-J and it didnt' show Duo in space. Got it again in PSP pops and it doesn't again, but probably because of bad emulation

@rockmace yes this is the pal ver did you get all the car parts then get the [?] blocks in the stages then you get duo only for VS play i dont know about the ntsc-j ver

@wayne444 yep, I mean, after unlocking Duo, the intro showed the space, and the sounds played, but it stood static, then switched to the portrait of Duo. I always wondered what these soundFX meant.

Also, in the psp version I got all car parts but Duo doesn't show up. I need to beat Willy again with all pieces?

@wayne444 I could only track down the NTSC-J version of this game Rockman Battle & Chase and downloaded a memory card save for my DexDrive that unlocks DUO in the game. If my Rockman Battle & Chase opening uploads O.K. I'll upload more from my version, unlike yours, mine has racer intro and race commentary that was removed from the PAL and the US version included on the Mega Man X collection that also deleted the DUO intro that was in the PAL and Japan PSX version of the game.

the question i'm asking my self is that why are they in cars i mean ya racing games was the best back then when n64, psx, and dreamcast was out, but their robots and don't they usually have pets that they can fuse together and start flying, and go faster, it would make much better sense that way ( thumbs up if you agree with me )

Also the n64 could process the graphics faster so you dont get the polygons popping up as they get closer to you and the graphics aren't all blocky like they are on the ps1 and the n64 was twice as powerful

Too many kart racing games... Mario Kart, Sonic Drift, and now this piece of shit. Sega had something going with Sonic Drift, but this, this is just a total rippof of Mario Kart. Another reason why the Nintendo 64 was way better than the Playstation.

Castlevania Symphony Of The Night, FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, Tekken 3, Gran Turismo 2, Megaman X4-X5-X6, Silent Hill, Resident Evil series, Chrono Cross, Medal Of Honor, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Xenogears, and probably the best game ever released METALGEAR FUCKING SOLID

N64 had better graphics but it had very few good games compared to the incredibly varied PSX catalog, and its completely obvious why its that way, its because of the third parties working for Sony at that time.

@ddensu Well its really hard to compare what console is best - PSX had all of this masterpieces, that you listed, but Nintendo's console got few Zelda's and Mario games. Not to much, but game critics call this games as best games ever.

But even so Dreamcast was better )))
