man you gotta stop the camera shaking keep it steady, I think I got a headache. lol, but looks like you could upgrade some equipment, trust me it takes time, your doing a awesome job. I have family that lives in PA .
After 3 years of DJing, I'm 16 and have 4 double 18 in. Mccauley subwoofers, and the double 15 tops to match, and I have to say that jsut because you cane hear the music, doesn't mean it's loud enough. ESPECIALLY at a grad party. Haha, but it's a great start man. Keep up the good work.
IM a dj too so trust me when i tell you next time set up on the porch never set up in a field without checking the weather and step it up to some 12,s because open air eats up sound volumn and talk on the mike with your friends
nice gig log, why dont you invest in some decks? your playing for a young crowd so having decks you can really mash things up and make unreal mixes/remixes getting you a more people dancing. Im not knocking you or anyhting but its just a suggestion. Playing for a young crowd and having mixmiester do all the work just doesent create the atmosphere as if you were doing it all your self. thats just my opinion
I did a wedding gig that day and it rained like hell all day. They had an outdoor ceremony, so they had to bring the ceremony to the reception hall, which was LOTS of fun. haha. Drinking parties, fun fun! Great gig log!
hey josh does the bags over the speakers really keep them from getting wet? cuz I have an outdoor wedding this weekend even though they forecast sunny skies but you could never be sure you know what I mean
No, I wouldn't recommend it. It works for my Matrix speakers because of the small size of the speakers and I have big balls and don't worry about the "what if".
you could, it reall doesn't matter if the woofer of a speaker gets wet (unless its a paper cone, then your stuffed) but covering speakers with a garbage bag does work, an employer of mine had a mass setup, we put bags over 6x speakers, and didn't bother with the par cans, he just said, no need to stop till the lights go out from a short circuit.
