@12Shobiz 49 points if you worked up your one handed skill and have this thing upgraded, which really isn't all that impressive. Upgraded ebony daggers also deal 49 damage per hit with the same amount of 1h skill. The only thing that this weapon has going for it is the bonus dmg to dragons, and even that's not super great since you can match or exceed it with other enchants by leveling your enchanting. I'd much rather take a weapon with a mix of my own enchants or a Daedra artifact.

It's not like Bethesda is going to only put that specific sword "Dragonbane" in one single persons copy of Elder Scrolls:Skyrim. It's rare because there is no other copy, or sword like that other than the original Blades Sword that you find in Delphines hideout. The Armor is also rare, you can't find it anywhere else other than that location, just like the "Dragonbane" Sword. Now go be a douche-bag somewhere else.

u can beat everyone basically by smithing and enchanting ur weapon. smithing for obvious reason. enchanting trick: before enchanting ur weapon, enchant a necklace or ring to "fortify enchanting" and then go enchant a weapon or armor. most enchantments are dependent on ur enchanting level. doing so u will have enchantments 2x or even 3x ur enchanting level. just made yday a daedric sword with like 120 damage.
