  • I agree very underrated, great writing, brilliant characters and heart warming in places, however its not over sentimental!

  • I highly enjoyed this...hard to find on dvd though, grrr!

  • Best British comedy of the 21st century

  • i agree its very good, and i love it, but that statments a bit drastic mate, compared to the office and in my opinion alan partridge is right up there

  • yeah its a bit drastic, and its just opinion, but I stand by it. Alan Patridge was very good, as was the brilliant office, but this appeals to me more. My upbringing, my life. Its just more for me and my love of northern pubs lol.

Besides, there is one down my street just like the grapes.

  • i understand mate, where exactly in the north is this pub you refer to then, im in manchester, mjight have to go for a few!

  • lol cheers, well if your from Manchester you deffinatly have some! I live in Middlesbrough so its a little different, but ti was this pub called the golden lion, with a few similar characters lol. Its closed down now sadly, so I really enjoy watching this.

  • I agree, I think this is even better than the Royle Family and totally underrated. The two coppers have me in hysterics every time. Absolute class!

  • brilliant stuff classic

  • Pure gold,

Better than Royle family in my opinion.

  • sunch a wonderfull and underrated comedy. Every character is fantastic. People who haven't seen this are missing out.

  • crime cant crack its self.

  • my dad is james quinn (the one on the lleft i dont know his name in it coz i dont watch it)

  • wow really i used to love this show shame they never made any more.

  • An incredibly underrated classic, each episode a totally heartwarming gem

  • One of it's original fans. Fucking classic

  • LOL More nights off than Father Christmas!

  • God, this is such a beautifully written show. Ken is a fabulous character and the coppers add a great slapstick element.

  • Very Funny - brilliant

  • Moveit - aaah, did you notice a bracing whooosh! as it all went over your head...

  • This is a veru underated and underexposed comedy but to me that's one of it's charms. I always watch it when it's on & when i feel like a wee cheer up I put on the DVD. It's charachter based so when you get to know them all you become part of their little cosy world - Magic...

  • Early Doors is so funny. I wonder why the BBC don't show it more often???

  • Pure GENIUS!

  • ooder9876 is right, it has a follow on story line, great true to life comedy - and it reminds me of how pubs used to be , including bobbies calling round for a social call at the back door!

  • A great series that reflects what people are really like with some cracking one-liners.

Craig Cash and Phil Mealey have produced a mini masterpiece.

  • GREAT SHOW THIS

  • brilliant

  • good stuff, keep ya hand on ya "you know"

  • Yeah it is superbly written. One of the best comedy shows of late. Shame there hasnt been a third series but then again maybe not. I would hate for them to ruin it.

  • Ta for this! A great programme and I love those two lazy coppers!

  • yep will post them when i have some time glad you enjoyed hope for a third series

  • Great! Do you have any more clips?
