His manifesto cried out to overthrow British spawned industrialization and its brutal factory conditions imposed by unscrupulous profiteers, and that made Karl the funniest Marx of them all. Duck Soup for the masses? Walmart can do it cheaper.
do you realise how much of an idiot you are????? Karl Marx was a german and is credited with being the founder of communism whereas the 5 marx brothers were americans credited with being 5 of the greatest commedians of all time
Karl Marx was born in Prussia in 1818, the Groucho Marx was born in New York in 1890, Chico Marx was born in New York in 1887, Harpo Marx was born in New York in 1888, Gummo Marx was born in New York in 1893 and Zeppo Marx was born in New York in 1901, Karl Marx and the Marx brothers were not related in any way,
are you an invalid fjccommish? karl marx and the marx brothers had/have nothing in common other than a surname, they were related in the same way that a toaster and the moons of jupiter are related, as in, not at all
I knew you were joking. Boy some people get so touchy. Can't take a joke. Everyone knows that the Marx brothers made all of those great toys in the 60's.
I agree with Shek, I was disgusted that this joke was included on Family Guy, prinicipally for the reason that people will think those copycat writers invented it >_>
Family Guy is nothing but references to so many movies, shows, and things that have influenced us all in pop culture. it is witty and smart in the way they do it too...and funny. not for everyone but, i think in it's own right it rocks.
Trick Photography. They stoped the filming, switched hats, and started the real again to give it the illusion that the hat magically appeared. They did the same thing in I Dream of Jenie.
Holy Smoke! I found it! This one is SICK SICK SICK! I remeber this scene as a child and now It's back in daddys arms. It's so funny, hilarious, brilliant, ingenious...gosh! I'd sent out a Mayday before but now I'll survive.
Thank you 1000 times swarfiel and a big hug. And I owe you one because you have really made my day. I will caress this as my fav pet. Best regards/Roland
@leej70 No, they didn't. If anything, both the Marx Brothers and Max Linder stole the idea from Charlie Chaplin, in his film The Floorwalker, Mr. Know-it-All. But just because some comedians happen to have similar ideas doesn't mean they stole them - it's more usually a coincidence, especially in the 1930s when even the most famous films were pretty obscure.
I guess Harpo cleans it all up in a matter of seconds. Incidentally, I think this scene works best at the cinema, with the audience laughing. Without the laughter it's just not the same. I wouldn't want to see it with a laugh track, though.
That Is exalent that must of taken against to do that and the right moves.
