Here I was thinking that I had every single similarity between Tamers and Star Fox (which I connect to due to Krystal and Renamon, both of whom I am a TRUE fan of) down. But Locomon reminds me of that train on Macbeth in Star Fox 64, and in both they change its path on the railroad to get it to enter a certain area.

And on that note, doesn't the D-Reaper remind you a bit of aparoids from Star Fox Assault?

@garrettkidney They didn't really have a choice. All the movies besides the first one were dubbed after Disney bought the rights. However, Disney didn't own the old theme. That's why every season since 4 has used a different song, and why they don't use the "Di-Di-Di-Digimon" music for Digivolving.

My question: Was it really necessary to edit the bio-merge sequence? Are people really that sensitive? Time constraints and different artists I understand but... Oi... IMO, what little "nudity" there is in the bio-merge couldn't be considered in the least bit distasteful... especially if you think about the beauty of said merger between digimon and human... the idea of them working together as one entity. Isn't that one of Digimon's most basic precepts?

You're probably looking at this from an older age point of view, so you might not find it problematic. Also, I think you're reading into it a bit too much. It's a kid's show, you have to remember. The only reason why it seems more dark thatn the others is because the writer is a person who usually writes psychological and horror stories.

@soundlessMion "It's a kids show" and Digimon don't go well together. That may work as an excuse for Pokemon, but not here. Some stuff in the tv show gets a little dumbed down with the younger viewers in mind, as it is marketed to them, but they certainly don't start from a point of "let's make this show really kid friendly and not worry about any real thematic content."

That's actually the opposite of what happens. By the X movie they aren't even bothering to water it down.
