  • 2:04 wtf waar is zijn hand

  • Bottom line. Wang chung sucks!

  • @talon115

    PAYASO

  • WC isn't the best in every situation for example the ground... also bruce lee said Wing Chun is great in close quarters, but therein is it's limitation and primary strength. Sure you can try to wear down a WC-er at a distance with stretched jabs, but you're going to have to close the gap at some point... that is where you get in trouble against WC.

  • Who would stop his punches at the end? That do not even boxers. If I punch fast and dynamic, the Wing Chun fighter can not use his hand techniques. A boxer, for example, moves forward, back and side. His punches come from different sides (and that very fast). Then it is impossible, to follow the opponent with the robotic wing chun stance. In Wing Chun demonstrations, it is customary, to show attacks, that are easy to defeat. If the attacker does not cooperate, the system collapses.

  • @MegaSmud Thing is they go for your center long before you get to do any side stepping to even get your angled shots. IMO Wing Chun is the fastest way to defeat any opponent. The only way the system collapses if they get impatient and lose their center. In a fist fight wing chun trumps all.

  • @Aurelius27x No, it´s impossible. Because the modern punches are too fast. A side step is a counter action. In WC, there is also a side step, but it´s executed very robotic-like and thus too slow. If WC is the best, why Bruce Lee invented his JKD? He said, that traditional martial arts are ineffective. Let a WC fighter fight against a professional boxer. Then you will see, that the Wing Chun fighter can not use hand techniques. Look at the Wing Chun Sparring: this looks like a bad boxing.

  • @MegaSmud Most of what you said is true. But, the odds of you fighting a pro boxer is rare. A good wing chun fighter can do a lot to defend himself. Like all martial arts it has it's weaknesses but for one on one it is actually good. This video doesn't do it justice though. Granted though im not an expert as most of the schools in my area mix wing chun with another style(s) including JKD and escrima.

  • @vze21gwa Why do they mix Wing Chun with other styles? There must be a reason. And if you mix Wing Chun with other styles, then it is no longer original.

  • is this style hard to learn?

  • @xnoel You can master the main thrust from a decent teacher in something like 2-3 years depending how often you study and your aptitude. There is always more to learn and the advantage of a "soft style" of martial arts is that it does not rely on you maintaining extreme physical fitness. As you age, your technique continues to improve and you don't need a great deal of strength to be effective.

  • Sifu Lamb looks so young here! Sifu Cottrell was my first Wing Chun teacher.

  • @fordfocusstbl - there are several flavors of bong. What's taught in one lineage may not be emphasized in another.

  • lol old man pretty gud! XD

  • I promise you as one of his prior students and a student of one of his senior students when you test it's a 3 or more on 1 and it's all at once of course progressed as you be come more skilled but still all of your tanning comes out in the test
