Saw the story of why this Sumatran tiger attacked on NatGeo channel or Nature on PBS recently. This tiger was spotted too close to a local Indian village & these guys were hired to dart & tranquilize it, and relocate the tiger to safer area. There was a bad dart shot & it didn't knock out the tiger, but really pissed it off. So they cornered this PO'd 500# tiger with elephants, so it attacked. The guy in front holding his injured hand was lucky he wasn't killed, but he did lose 3 fingers, OUCH!
