  • Ive been to Ecuador, Ive seen some of the damage, and have spoke to some of the people and families that have suffered directly from this. It is terribly sad, and the people are some of the kindest I have ever met. They don't hate Us, (nor Canadians, or the Japanese) (google information about the fight against copper companies in Intag, and Junin regions of Ecuador), but they dont like 2 be taken advantage of by companies. Their human and environmental rights are being violated people. HELLO!

  • DAVID O'REILLY do not be reckless, pay for the damage your company has done.

  • chevron refusing to pay the fine and take responsibility for the damage they've done to ecuador. they're ten times worse than bp.

pay up and take responsibility you deadbeat arrogant american bastards.

  • Just yesterday Chevron was found guilty and fined 9 billion dollars Hurrah!

  • If you don't like oil companies, then quit driving gas powered cars. Instead of complaining , become part of the solution! i.e do something about it!

  • @firger123 Do you realize how many items are made with oil? Its not just gas powered cars.

  • AS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN I AM DEEPLY OFFENDED BY THE DESTRUCTIVE ACTIONS OF AMERICAN OIL COMPANIES IN THE WORLD PATRIMONY OF THE AMAZON. I PROTEST !!!

  • the lack of education is the reason why people don't know better, not just in the Amazon Jungle but all over the world, education needs to CHANGE we do not need more engineers, plastic, war etc, we need to CHANGE and see the reality of pollution and the problem we are facing now Chevron is just one of our many problems, a very significant one. The future is now, and it does not look good, please take a moment and think about it.

Mother earth is being killed! right in front of our own eyes.

  • beneficiary of this video- the law firm that equador hires.

  • chevron, the illuminati gas of choice. haha.

  • Please help my people....for years they were exploiting and getting sick generations of amazonian tribus....Don't buy Chevron

  • Destroying nature in the name of profits..Watch.."Water Car Inventor Killed..Full Story"..the rich get richer and the slaves get deeper in debt!!! Love, Peace and Blessings

  • that last comment being ment to dudezilla chick..

  • March 4, 2008 Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX) today announced a new employee giving and volunteer program that will provide up to $20 million annually for U.S. nonprofit organizations.

Chevron Humankind, includes company matching for employee financial contributions, grants to nonprofits for volunteer time and company-sponsored volunteer opportunities.

  • Stop the destruction!

if people need all these bullshit laws..why can companies get away with murder?

    onelove

  • @SiouxSyndicate - the "comany" in question is Petroecuador - which is a company owned by the government of Equador. Not Chevron.

  • Chevron aren't exactly innocent, though. Just look at the Niger Delta.

  • @dudezillo

Woah woah.. little boy.. The company to which you allude is Chevron Texaco. Get your wiki-facts straightened up. The alternative is to actually realize that Chevron is to blame for one of the most significative destruction, of human lives and this planet, in yes.. Ecuador, loquito..

  • good point im glad to see that not everyone can think beyond what the media wants us to believe.

  • @SuperEarther Stop spewing your little ignorance.. THIS IS THE FAULT OF CHEVRON TEXACO.. LEAVING A FEW MILLION DOLLARS 20 YEARS AGO AND EXPECTING PETROECUADOR TO CLEAN UP YOUR MESS IS SHIT. Your pseudo-analysis is crap, compared to the reality of people dying right now from something your disgraceful company can't own up to.. It's not about engaging on money.. political or whatever fills your vacancy signed ass.. ITS ABOUT WHAT LITTLE JUSTICE CAN BE BROUGHT TO THIS LEVEL OF ATROCITIES.

  • @SuperlatividadAjena Oil companies such as this dont give a shit about people.

They dump on the planet and dont give a shit. They contaminate our earth with waste and companies like this are also responsible for the war on the middle east as its rich in natural resources. Didnt you also know chevron and others have a place on the bilderberg committee. Another example on how the rich want to bleed this world and its people dry in the pursuit of greed. You fail to see that though

  • @SuperEarther

Sorry man, that comment was ment to be in response of some dudezilla guy, not you. Yeh.. you're right, which was what i was hinting to.. Its just another case of the same blind profit-seeking shit, depicted wherevere these companies impose themeselves, one way or another.

  • @SuperlatividadAjena its ok dude. Life if too short for anger and fear to be a host.

Compassion is a great feeling. I agree with your views and they make me feel warm inside that others like you can see beyond corruption and lies. Keep up the fight my friend and dont let this greed rule like it has others. Peace

  • Amusingly, the oil spill is the fault of **Petroecuador**, the state-run oil company.... not Chevron. Cute drawings, though... I guess.

  • @dudezillo Im sorry sweet heart but you are very misinformed. You should actually do some research. The oil spills were caused by Texaco, which did not keep up maintnance on their pipelines, and caused many oil spills throughout the Ecuadorian Amazon. In the 90's the made a small payment to the government of Ecuador, which was left to them to help cleanup the mess. However it was no where near enough. Then Chevron bought Texaco, however has refused to take any responsibility for this destruction

  • The people of Ecuador attempted a case in the United States against Chevron and once Chevron realized they were loosing the case they decided to go to Ecuador, and try their luck with Ecuadorian courts. Too my knowledge this was with hopes of being able to payoff a judge in their favor which obviously hasnt happened. Instead the case has gone on for years, and a few months ago the people of Ecuador won their case, but Chevron appealed this decision. Dont be a dimwit do some research.

  • I never seen some many stupid people in my life. Nice vid..... don't tell the truth to the whole thing there. Chevron wasn't the one who did all that.. I just so happen they bought out another Company that did all that and now they are faced with dealing with someone else mess left behind. But you don't talk about that. Or how it was the local gov that did the spilling.. Yeah the local gov run oil company that didn't hold their end of the joint agreement to explore for oil.

  • Do you have any links or sources that you could post? I am genuinely interested in learning more about this, and I think it is important to know where to direct our efforts and protests to so that we can actually fight the true criminals here

  • @tmgrk1 part of this is negative, it was Texaco who did the spilling not Petroecuador. Chevron bought Texaco and inherited all problems caused by Texaco. It is their responsibility.

  • LOL. This cracked me up.

  • ek, me too! =D

(only if the reality wasn't so true, tho)

  • Ecuador doesn't hate Americans they hate snobby American Companies.

  • Lets solve these alledged deaths by causing another death (of the CEO), quite a reasonable response based on the research of one propagndic youtube video...

    (sigh)

  • Awesome Video!!!!!

Chevron is managed by murderers of people and the Amazon. Boycott Chevron. Buy gas somewhere else.

  • somebody should kill the CEO, at this point that is the only way left to send a message. And for any justice to happen.

  • I completely agree with you. Glad I wasn't the only one thinking about it. It's the righteous thing to do.

  • If you kill the CEO or any useless man, they would make up stories about how sick you are and how hostile you grew up or they would tag you as a child abuser... and s..t. which could be all fraud but who cares, they have the media, pr and all the other bs....Nobody would question your motive or your intentions, or the reason...Money world for you mate. On the first page of all newspapers we all would see this article, "Insane man killed CEO" such a f..d up world bro

  • The scroll is one of the most subtle, yet propagandist pieces here at 1:08.

BUT it is so easy to say SAVE the ecuadorian people! theyre all dying! But please dont let this effect the price of oil. CHevron just keeps jacking up the prices! those bastards... take a 7th grade course in Econ. Supply and Demand.

Big Companies are the worst! they provide products now directly linked to the success of our country and infrastructure. Those blood suckers...

    5 stars...

  • "The sick and dying villagers. " The water was contaminated, but NOT DUE TO TEXACO's hydrocarbons, but fecal coliforms...and Cancer problems, NONE WHICH HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN THE LAW SUIT. Okay, if you live in a poor ecuadorian village, why would you NOT try to sue Chevron, you have nothing to lose. Whereas why would Texaco (Chevron) just want to dump all of remains there. That would be a PR disaster, and they have a lot to lose.

  • I mean because it is total bullshit no way does a CEO keep piles of gold in his office that'd be terrible PR plus gold is really heavy and CEOs live on the top floors of buildings and I bet it would be structurally unsound and really dangerous.

  • Chevron sucks !!!!!

    "ENERGY" my ASS !!!!!

What about fucking up millions of acres of Canadian forests to mine tar sands that generate lakes of oil crap? !!!!!

  • What A piece of crap, it didn't talk anything about abu!

  • Hippie

  • cunt

  • lol thats funny

  • What a load of dickhead you are

  • Why, cos I don't belong to the "it's on the internet it must be true" brigade. Grow up.

  • Do you mean the backstory where a large company indirectly killed people and caused one of the largest environmental disasters ever in order to make money and they got away with it because it didn't directly affect important people, or you mean because the video is kind of goofy?

  • You're referring to Petroecuador of course..

  • Why do you have to take this to a political area? This is a crime against these local people's rights. Whether you are a conservative or a liberal has nothing to do with it. Open your fucking eyes! They don't give a damn about you, all they care about is getting more money!

  • @misayo85 he didn't call anyone conservative or liberal. what is YOUR problem? He just brought up what chevron does. So tell me where in this video you saw any political reference.

  • @misayo85 thank you! whether you are a socialist or conservative etc. WE need to stand up for the indigenous peoples rights in ecuador!! chevron needs to be stop and sued before they destroy any more of mother nature

  • I worked for Chevron...low wage job. They make like 500,000,000 per shift...and there are like 3 shifts per day....every day 24/7.

Do the math...greedy corporate pigs are rich.

  • If you liberals hate oil so much, why don't you just stop buying petroleum based products?

If you say it's only Chevron, then don't do business with them. I mean, what other companies do you have serious issues with that you choose to do business with?

For example, I don't like Walmart, therfore I don't shop there, but I don't try to use the power of the Federal government to put them out of business.

  • HAHAHA

  • i luv u paul y paz y nino!

  • it's sad how a lot of those big companies are doing those types of things. makes me sad....

  • Actually theyre not. Please just dont watch one youtube propaganda video, and say wow. DO some research, form an informed decision please

  • Actually, Matt, YOU are completely wrong. I have been there and seen it for myself. The pits were left there by Texaco many years ago and never cleaned up. they refuse to do the right thing now and the people DO have cancer and other illnesses NOT caused by lack of sanitation. You know VERY little about this in reality so I recommend you don't post about what you don't know about.

  • Paul,

I respect your use of CAPS and the fact that you have been at "ground zero". You may in fact have more evidence than I, but I have got one leg up on this argument. COMMON SENSE. Why, just Why. The court reports will show both sides of this issue, ulike this video and videos like it. I havent found any information leading me to beleive that your accusations are legitimite. Often times, the "I WAS THERE" makes people want that cause to be more known, often for subcontious personal benefit

  • Hmm... how about talking to scientists, lawyers, industry experts, shareholders, community leaders, working on the case for two years in an organization working on it for over 7. Hmm... I think that MIGHT give me the edge over you as far as knowing what's going on. The reality is Texaco deliberately dumped it and never cleaned it up. People are dying and they are liable for that mess. End of story.

  • er...whatever it is you dont need to know about it:)~~~Nice!

  • Luv it from a to z!!! All perfect!!

  • Great Vid,

It is good to know where U stand in this

    greedy corprate world.

Hum de dum. Shall we all write him a letter, ask him if he considers himself to fit the definition of a "Corporate Fascist"?

  • A who is responsible??? Follow the money. It will lead to to Rothschild $100 trillion + Rockefeller $10 trillion +. I guess u could say the top of the pyramid with the all seeing eye. Yes they are Illuminated like Bohemian Grove.

BE READY, BE STEADY.... for when you need to shoot 3 mexican enforcement agents!!

  • oh and dcxsucks was spammed so this is what he said.

Fuck Chevron. Bob Eaton, corrupt POS former Chairman of Chrysler responsible for many safety defects and knowingly doing nothing about them is now on the board of directors.

I'm sure they have done their damage but I won't buy Chevron fuel, ONLY Shell (BP) or 76(ConocoPhillips).

For more information about Bob Eaton who is now on the board of Chevron (since 2000), check out /watch?v=dcl3itb1_Ow

  • "I'm sure they have done their damage but I won't buy Chevron fuel, ONLY Shell (BP) or 76(ConocoPhillips)."

Ok moron, Shell doesn't own BP, and 76 is owned by Unocal, which is owned by Chevron.. the internet is a GREAT way to display your ignorance. Check your facts. Also, I think it's funny you are so quick to point the finger at Chevron and not serve any blame to PetroEquador. So easily swayed by the media.

  • hey, nmmk1234, looks like your channel was created to just make comments for Corporate profits. There IS no need for Petroleum when Industrial grade HEMP (non THC), can do everything petrolium can do. AND it's FREE. And it's NATURAL, AND it's good for our health. Easy to grow!YOU are part of the problem...."So easily swayed by the media". THE DAMN MEDIA IS OWNED NOW BY 5 CORPORATIONS. Little videos like this are the only place left where "the little people" can make fun of YOU.

    DEAL WITH IT.

  • "The little people"? That makes me laugh. Do you think I'm not one of the little people because I have rational opinions or because I have one that opposes yours? None of us really know the truth, I just think it is strange that no one blames PetroEquador which had been running this stuff since Texaco left. Also, I totally support alternate energy so kudos to you. But why am I part of the problem by pointing out someone's stupid and totally incorrect comment?

  • You GOTTA be KIDDING ME!! Your'e still trying to defend BigOil? So instead of not bying Chevron, you will only support European Royalty!! (Queen Beatrix has enough) Give back to So.America.~Citgo~ What are you doing for Permaculture? For Free energy which Tesla discovered in1902....but there was this little problem...it was FREE. So is industrial grade hemp. That's illegal for the same reason. How could they OWN the world without thier oil profits! Who do you think SHOWED Ecuador where to dig?

  • anything that is free such as energy and oil in life has major problems.....greed and corruption.

Greed will cost this planets enviroment and nature will have its say because humanity has lost its identity.

  • @nmmk1234 76 is owned by ConocoPhillips... Also I find it funny that you say people are being "swayed" by the media, I am a US citizen, and have been to Ecuador, and have seen the problem. I have also emailed Chevron about the issue to receive a self contradicting statement where they basically admit that this was caused by Texaco, which they now own, however they believe that they arent responsible to pay the damages. Why do you think Chevron requested the case be moved from the US to Ecuador?

  • And you are right, the internet does provide a great way for people to show their ignorance, you are clearly showing yours.

  • Put 'em out of business. Go H2O!

  • absolutely i will donate the ordinance lol, reminds me of a rap one of my construction workers would sing "i was driving an expedition oh no no oh no i didn't" lolololol pure class

  • mail me some .45 acp and .300 wsm rounds. oh and i'll need alot of diet mt.dew. i'm being funny but we really oughta do something about this evil shit these shitty assholes are doing. "the rainforests aren't important!" they only provide us with OXYGEN FUCK FACE! i'm calm cool and collected. but the rest of america is too busy chewing on FUCKING FREEDOM FRIES AND WATCHING AMERICAN IDOL TO GIVE A SHIT! i need some weed or something...

  • That was excellent.

This is the power of Darkness.

  • Ditto that one...! agreed...! L&L

  • Chevron sucks

  • great vid. love the voice over.

  • great video

  • /watch?v=q3-bD9bPAek

  • um,... right

  • this should get more views

  • For the past 15 years Chevron has been waging a campaign of evasion, lies and intimidation against more than 30,000 Ecuadorian villagers, who are struggling for basic human rights, such as clean drinking water and a healthy environment. Now, they have hired some corporate hit men, including Sam Singer, an SF PR guy, to defame and ridicule and offend the Ecuadorian people.

  • It's time for Chevron to pay up for the devastation that they reap all around the world. All the money in the world can't buy back your soul Chevron. Great video!

  • Fantastic! Chevron is going down! Can't wait to support you guys at the next shareholder meeting! Keep up the good work!

  • And to top it off Chevron just hired a lawyer who worked for the Dept. of Defense who resigned after it was clear he "crafted policies" that led to the abuse at Abu Ghraib. THAT makes Chevron's actions even more de3plorable!

  • Who else could possibly defend Chevron in this case? They're making record profits, and at the same time refusing to take responsibility for cancer, birth defects, and death in Ecuador. Only someone with absolutely no morality whatsoever would have the necessary job skills.

    This video is great!

  • damn
