I wouldn't call this abuse, but I would have gotten the kitten down a lot quicker. It was scared and wanting/needing help, it should have gotten it quicker.
How is this abuse? Do you think wildcats automatically know how to climb and get down from trees automatically or that there's humans around to 'save' them if they get stuck? No. Much like human children, kittens learn necessary skills like climbing and getting down from high places by 1) watching an adult do it, and 2) trial and error.
There wasn't anything wrong with the guy not saving it immediately, or even being amused at its fumbling.
Cats need to learn how to get out of these situations. This isn't animal abuse. The guy rescued the cat after like 2 minutes of letting the cat try alone... not to mention that a fall from that height probably wouldn't do anything to a cat. My cat fell 4 stories once and just brushed it off like it was nothing...
Animal suffering, the kitten need to eventually learn how to get down from high places, besides if it really had to it can jump down from that height and land fine without getting hurt, they fall from higher places. Geez and this is coming from a girl who at once point owned 16 cats at once, now I only have one but I have had cats my whole life and this is not torture
If the cat could climb up, he is likely to be able to get down, people! They got him down in the end and I've seen cats fall from the very tops of TREES without a single injury! Cats are tough, guys, and there's nothing cruel being done here.

For the life of me, I cannot understand people finding animals suffering is somehow funny. Have you ever been in fear? Fear is suffering. Even animals feel it as intensely as humans do. There is nothing funny about it. I would not have been filming. I would have been searching for a ladder IMMEDIATELY!
Instead of filming the distress, why didn't you just help the kitten down and pet and be kind to the cats? Why do humans always find delight in the torment or distress of animals?
The kitten had obviously been placed on shelf by this mental midget...and the animals came very close to falling and injuring themselves..the mental deficient must believe that cats cant hurt themselves in a fall ..he should be suspended by his testicles from a reasonably high building.
Cats can climb down pretty much vertical things. The problem is their claws only work when they go head first which a lot of cats are reluctant to do. Eventually most cats figure it out though, if they got up somewhere they can usually get down on their own even if it takes a few hours.
What a dumb ass mother cat for not evening come over and thanking the person for saving the cat. Should give the mother cat agood beat down so she learns to respect and appreciate when someone helps her.
