  • Good use of the gears. Great vid..thinking of a contour myself. Does it fit well to the helmet? Via suction or sticky pad?

  • @eyeeyeful They have a sticky pad for the helmet that works well. Its not as versatile as the go pro, but it does have a higher quality image in many ways. The audio is a big problem for bikes stock, but you can remedy it with buying one of those plastic cases like the go pro comes with. I actually modified the mic on mine and it helped a tiny bit.

  • Ya don't need to use it when your bike is setup properly. Watch my video on launching. :)

  • @tye1138 why arn't you using the clutch to shift

  • Very nice, Tye.

  • Love your video, great footage and editing! :)

  • your comments about your driving impressed me - way to take things in stride

  • Rolling shutter (The way the video wobbles) sucks with vibrations :( - I just bought one of these cameras tho... glad you posted this!!

Mad video!! you are a sick rider!

I used to ride with a (MASSIVE) Sony PD170 on my tank... broke the viewfinder off on my helmet once :(

  • Did you buy the contour suction mount when putting the camera on the gas tank. This is what I want to do so the camera stays behind the wind screen. If so was the suction cup really strong?

  • @Race2211 Yep, it won't go anywhere...

  • For the other posters (and I'm not trying to be a smarty pants poster, just sharing some info:)): A slipper clutch reduces engine breaking, allowing the clutch to slip while the rear wheel speed gets matched to the engine speed. In a high compression four stroke twin like a Ducati 749R, it keeps the rear wheel from locking/skidding on corner entry at downshift. You still need to blip/match to some degree, but the slipper compensates and makes it a lot smoother proposition.

  • How is the name of the song?

    Very good Video :)

  • Geile 999=)

  • Why does he shift down like that? why wont he just hold the clutch and shift down instead of releasing for each click?

  • @valonthegreat

Its just an old habit. Maybe not the fastest way to enter a corner, but It does work.

  • @tye1138 Thx tye for responding, is it better for the engine or its just a habit?

  • @valonthegreat It engages the slipper clutch on every down shift, giving you more engine braking instead of coasting into the corner. Otheriwse, if you pull in the clutch and hold it, you'll be coasting into the corner, which is no good. At the time of this video, I had not learned how to use the rear brake, which is an alternative solution for "engine" braking.

  • @valonthegreat

Ahh i see, so when driving on the streets its not needed too, right :)?

  • @tye1138 each gear you let the clutch out does apply engine braking. So...its all good...have no idea why that guy even made the comment?

  • @valonthegreat i dont know much about bikes, but he could be engine braking to save the disks

  • @valonthegreat It could also be useful if you are new to racing on two wheels, this way there is less of a chance for the rear wheel to lock up because of difference in rotation from the rear wheel and your engine.

That said.. Great angles on your cam tye1138

  • Hi! nice Film! The song...? what is it? It´s cool sound!

  • the output file is .mov

What did you render the in (Mpeg2 eg) and what settings (max bitrate etc)

Thanks, awesome quality vid. You should be proud.

  • I actually used .h264 compression out of compressor on a mac. I set the resolution to 1280x720 export and highest bit rate possible. With HD source, that setting works fantastic.

  • Hello how did you mount the camera on the bike?

  • I used the standard suction cup mount available through Vholdr

  • Beautiful good ContourHD

  • fuck thats beast

  • cool vid...did you do anything different to get rid of the wind noise? thanks

  • I used the shot facing forward to get audio off of, thats why it doesn't match what the bike is doing.

  • nice video - good to see a bit of effort put into an on board bike video rather than just leaving the camera in one place :)

  • good video! song name?!

  • @kCiReVaM86

    Royksopp - eple

  • thank u very much!

  • @kCiReVaM86 royksopp - eple

  • great the song fits sooo good, loooove it.

  • hi, nice riding and great clarity on the vid. Is this the 720 or 1080 cam please?

  • This is the original 720 camera before the updates.

  • miód z wiśnienką ;) .. maen exellent stuff

  • was just there this weekend :)

  • nice! i miss that track u got gd skills puttin that knee down between turn 1 and 2 goin into 3 keep it up

  • Totally sweet. This guys is a good rider; smooth, relaxed.. the way people are supposed to be. I bought one of these cameras because of this video

  • What's your camera setup?

  • I used the standard panavise windshield mount. Its on vholdr's web site.

  • Excellent video!!! But music not so much...It's like an R2D2 singing...;)

  • why this video it seems in parts??

  • Hi, just out of interest what is the top speed the bike would have been doing in this video.

    Thanks

  • Maybe 160? But even that is pushing it, I'd say more like 150. The 749R doesn't have much top end.

  • Great video. Good music too, thanks

  • does the bike have slipper clutch?

  • Yep

  • very smooth downshifts

    do you rev match?

  • Most of the time not, this particular video my clutch is new and its not slippin' very well.

  • nice vid

  • really like the clutch cam and 1:50-1:55.

    great picture.

  • good sutff. great quality
