  • thanks for the memories i remember having my bath eating tea and still sitting in front of the screen wait for it to load lol :) THE GOOD OLD DAYS

  • Hey. i wached the loading screen for 4 hours to play this game in 1988

  • Great!

  • It's simply beautifull!

  • I really love this Version - good job!!!

  • I used to play this game , wow this is old

  • Brilliant remake and video! I remember when you used to upload tons of your mods to Aminet. :)

  • just EPIC !

  • very amazing !!

    ciauzzz

  • PLEASE DONATE TO NIPON (JAPAN)

  • Nice tune for Last Ninja .. thx for sharing :)

  • gran bel gioco!!complimenti per il video e il remix ;) saluti da un tuo quasi paesano !!

  • Man, you are awesome wit the Fastracker. The best tribute to Last Ninja i ever seen. Thumbs up ! :-)

  • As you know, a large part of the program was developed for the order of Marc Cale, in fact in Hungary, for more than a year by a team of young mathematicians and programming geniuses, called SoftView.

System 3 took over the 85% completed game and after the finishing strokes, it was released without listing the name of the whole Hungarian team on their alleged request.

It is high time to make up for the recognition, at least...

  • @PolgarAkos

    I didn't know that !

  • Thank you doing this tune. I loved the video and the remix.

  • brilliant... no other words

  • One of the BEST games EVER made.

    For ANY platform.

I occasionally pull my (heavily modified) C64 Mk 1 out JUST to play 'Last Ninja 1 & 2

  • Japan has giant asian hornets, will not visit

  • Really nice

  • Wonderful!

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooWWWWWWWWWW!!!

    Thumbs up & favourited.

  • Amazing remix! I hope Ben Daglish hear this.

  • Beautiful!

  • The Gardens tune :) Where did you find such a nice refined version? Anyhow, Japan is amazing huh ? :)

  • @rellekium - I made myself with fasttracker2, you can find my c64 remix on my site

  • The only game on the C64 that truly blew my mind when it came out. Ahhhhhh those damn pesky stepping stones, good times! Also, when encountering a battle, stay close to the edge of the screen and let the opponent come to you, great strategy.

  • Whats the name of the tune and its author please?

  • Very nice tribute to a classic game!

  • who remembers the game thai boxing? the players face used to get more bloody the more u got hit.

  • @DJDementEatsBabies - Yeah, I remember that game...can't remember the name though...Thai Boxer? Thai Knights? Something like that...*Shrug*

  • It's called Thai Boxing - I still play all these games on my pc/laptop using an emulator..sadly I dont have my old C64 anymore..*sob* :(

  • @DJDementEatsBabies: He`s talking about the System 3 game called "Bangkok Knights".

  • @kegsen maybe so.. but if you read my previous comment I was asking if anyone remembers the game Thai Boxing -

cthulhusmop couldnt remember the name of the game, even though I had said it, he is confused with the game Bangkok Knights..

Thai Boxing is an isometric style kickboxing game where the players faces at the top corners of the screen gradually becomes more mashed up the more you got hit.

I remember System 3 - they also made International Karate, another excellent fighting game.

  • fantastique.the last ninja rocks!!!one of my all time favourite c64/ games.

  • Amazing game

  • ehe :)

  • Beautiful.

  • thanks!

  • Hontouni arigato

  • grande, quanti ricordi cò stò giocone....

  • I am trying to remember the name of the song/remix, i forget who it was done by but it had a combination of last ninja + international karate together and it was long, and awesome! It started with last ninja with international karate in the middle then blended back to last ninja. I remember I first came across the remix on youtube ages ago but cant remember how to find it again, does anyone know?

  • Its (they) are called "Instant Remedy"

  • ARIGATO GOZAIMASU!

  • dou itashimashite

  • Love it Thx for posting This

  • Bellissimo, mi sono commosso, complimenti! :)

Da buon vecchio fan spero sempre in un remake!

    Ciao! :)

  • It would be great if you could do more concertos of The Last Ninja!

  • nice vid

  • Thank you. This is so awesome, I get goosebumps by watching and especially listening!!!!

  • TG -4- wii

  • Just as good as amiga 500 eh? :) Funny, since these 'intro' graphics arent from a computer game at all. Now that you mention it, the Amiga intro was actually not that great at all. But never mind :)

  • Mind you, most of the Amiga remakes of C64 games weren't good at all. I say 'WIzball'...

  • Armakuni for ever.......

  • epic

  • Very good. That's real art. Bravo Fabio.

  • one of my all time favs! great vid, takes me back.

  • Very cool!

  • nice :)

  • awesome..

  • Yesi it's level 3 - Palace Garden was its name. Hope this helps.

  • Amazing song, cannot get enough. The build is great, and the climax at 1:44 is enough to give me goosebumps. Well done.

  • nice memories! ;)

  • This brings warm and very positive memories in my heart :*

    6/5 :)

  • There were two screenshots from the C64 version of The Last Ninja and also two from IK+(C64 version there too). Where the rest is coming from I don´t know. But this is a damn good remix/remake/cover from the original music. Love it!

  • wow, those are great grafx in teh title screens. Looks like amiga

  • great video

  • I never understood this game now twenty years on i'm gonna complete it!

  • Rock on.

  • looks like amiga rather than c64

  • Yeah! Those intro screens were almost as good as Amiga500 intro's, really cool

  • lol never played the game, but the music is phenomenal x3

  • YouTUbe i getting pissed ..anytime when i press Reply it were showed on normal comment

  • edit:Problem gone,Thank you

  • music sounds like chinese not japanese sound its made in US i remember Commodore 64 20 years ago im japanese engineer thank you your posting my dear old PC i had AMIAGA 500 as US PC

  • I stoped programming when first virus comes out on C64 because they were making war with this software on amiga it started going to be harder because every disc got a infect from the bootsector.

  • Thank you for your comment.

    >they were making war with this software on amiga

Oh really? I didn't know. But my Amiga 500 was stolen in Nagoya JAPAN

I was using compuserve between Toyota and San Francisco. It costed about $2,000/month. US programer was programig on AMIGA for my company...my memory...

  • Edit: Sorry,i mean the Softwareprodoucer not the Amiga.

  • Edit: I mean the Softwareprodoucer not Amiga, Sorry my is is not the Best. At this Time the Thing with the Akkustickopplerthing was to expensive for me. I payed the C64 for over 600 Deutsche Mark I used first black/white Tv then i got and green Monitor for 348 DM+Dattasette were you needed hours to load a Programm. After a time i got the Floppy for 548 Deutsche Mark.

    ... My Memory...

  • Sorry my english is not the best

  • Love that Sound and the Memories of that Time.

What happend and what is now.

I think you exchange that Video or SoMeThInG because i saw the white DATAsette(which i got to this time)now it is Black ;)

It was the Time were the first Virus came out.

And a Time which good Friend`s.

    *Bow*

  • Nice video, brings back many memories. :)

  • thanks, great show. played them all :-) third part was my favourite

  • thanks.

  • I'm pretty sure I played this game or something related to it as a child. All I remember about it was the spirally health bar.

  • a Fabiooooo!!!

Vuoi che non riconosca la versione di TLN sul c64!?!?

Rimane il fatto che il video è molto bello ;-)

  • good music..

  • one of the most beautiful video i ever see for 64

  • Neither sound (it's a remix) nor graphics (there are from the Commodore Amiga) are from the C-64 at all.

But you are right, teh video is beautiful. :)

  • wonderful

  • I remember this game I think. The eyes at the beginning used to scare me as a kid.

  • haahahahaha! Well I guess a kid might find them scary. To me they are just eyes.

    Resident evil. Thats scary.

  • Resident Evil is scary for little kiddies like you.

  • nice tribute...but why show a pic of a C16/+4 tape deck?

  • Amazing vid.

  • Hi Fabio! you did a great remix of this!!!

im aware that monolyte altaraz is making a

cover of this on modular synthesis and he

would like to say hi! he had some trouble fitting

the samples and modding them. but he will send

you the file when its completed! Peace Out!

  • Great work!! This game improved my life!

  • nice work dude. Last Ninja is a great game, but one thing is sure, the music scores of last ninja are by far the best ever made.

  • I remember playing last ninja then going to martial arts trainig afterwards....

  • very cool!

we want more...the music is brill...

    give us a remix...please!!!

  • awesome dedication. well done!

  • yeahhhhh !

    kicks ass

  • this was my favourite C64 game of all-time. It had me tamed for a long long time. With my casette loading C64, it gave me my first glimpse of gaming with a bit of thought and class. Brilliant.

  • Exactly, gaming with a bit of thought and class.

The small details such as the telescope for instance and the excellent music really made a lasting impression.

  • nice, thanks

  • I sing this! Last Ninja had a huge impact on me back in the day. A month ago I finally got the whole soundtracks of them all. Daglish and Leesh really hit the spot. Respect to all those imaginative game makers of the past! Great video!

  • Couldn't agree with you more. Amazing what they pulled off with the limited processor, memory and the SID chip.

  • very creative production really pleasant soundtrack

  • Nice work evocative and ethereal for the best c64 title ever! (best selling to, 2.000.000 copies since 1987) I strongly suggest the hi-resolution version

  • Marvellous video! Great work!

  • Wonderful video! Thanks a lot!!

  • Gassho, Fabio!

  • When I was a kid in '87's year,

My mind switched to Last Ninja's gaming gear.

Six levels in all this game possessed,

An understatement to say I was impressed.

Easy to admit, I was and still am obsessed,

In all honesty back to childhood at times I have regressed.

So I know I cannot solve this mystery,

Whilst reviewing my Last Ninja History.
