Evil Ryu just owns. I love the Metsu Hadoken as well - too bad you couldn't actually CHARGE it so it gets bigger and more devastating - like the MUGEN PotS Evil Ryu. By the way - anyone here knows any high damage combos with Evil Ryu? I want to master that character. And I can't seem to find any good tactics and combos on YouTube. If anyone knows - please note me. Thanks in advance.

It's actually 33 hits and only Shin Gouki has the 33 hit Raging Demon. Evil Ryu has the second highest and God Rugal has a 15-16 hit Raging Demon.

actually, evil ryu has only 15 hits, the only reason it was 20 was because of the 5 hits before that stunned iori and put him in a dizzy, that counts towards the rest of the combo, so it's the 5 dizzy hits, plus the 15 raging demon hits, just like regular gouki. you're right about shin gouki, though. his is 33 hits.

nope, it only says ryu for him. In japan, he's not called evil ryu, he's called "Satsui no Hadou Ryu". because he's still ryu, but taken over by the satsui no hado, but he's still ryu.

Akuma's is heaven. It's something else for Ryu. Just don't know what. All I can say that it's related to destruction.

Not all movie storyline portray the same storyline as the video games. For example the real time street fighter movie which is a bad example. But also other Capcom games such as Resident Evil have different stories. But I maybe wrong.

actually there's no proof at all of that. Akuma or Gouki is Gouken's brother. that's all they ever tell u. they say they have the same blood of the warrior stuff.. but that doesn't mean there is ONLY one family line with it. i don't think he is Ryu's father, and the movie never did say, 'Akuma is Ryu's dad'.. they just hint they have something in common.

actually Akuma's Raging demon is the same as Evil Rye's

Shinakuma's Raging demon, however does more hits and damage

dont forget that ShinAkumas raging demon is far faster too. Can be almost impossible to avoid at times.

Thats true, but compared to Shin Gouki`s Ultimate rugal`s suck, i mean its both faar slower, the range is shorter, and the damage a bit less. But hey! Just the fact that Rugal steals Akumas moves rule.

its not really him stealing akuma's moves, but moreso him inheriting the dark hado which carries along with it a set of techniques, one of which is the raging demon.

akuma, ken and ryu have very similar moves to begin with. the fact that evil ryu is just a little more like a akuma doesent make him a copy cat. because they all kinda are.

Of course they are all similar! They studied under the same master of Shotokan. Each has their own flair in the execution of their technique, but they still were taught the same techniques.

Ryu's fighting style is easy to play, so that's why you see a lot of other characters that play the same way, whether it's Ken, Akuma, Dan, Sakura, Ryo, Robert, Hanzo, Fuuma, Jago, Sho, Rai, or whoever. These characters exist to make a game accessible to anybody who's ever picked up a 2D fighting game.

Oh, as for this video trying to show off a move, the quality is pretty bad. Evil Ryu's typically banned in tournaments anyway.

All I was saying is that their styles are similar, spinning kick same shooting animation etc. Alot of characters use the same button commands,I know that. I mainly play 2D fighters. I just dont like that they fight almost exactly the same, Ken, Ryu, and Akuma/Gouki. They are eccentialy the same character, just with different attributes

But Gouki's still better than ryu.He move faster and more damage with his combination attack but ryu is good for newbie he can't use many hit combo but damage in 1 hit his good enough not a complex character to play

however he have less hp(defense) than most of the chars but he makes up for it with fast and strong attacks and a really tough ai. so hes not a good char for beginners.
