@ldrsquad Im not disagreeing that we need some regulation. Obviously the FDA and FCC are good things but the government cant be in bed with them. It needs to be limited regulation on these things. Again, just enough to keep us safe but not total control. As far as Enron, its like getting people believing in something to invest, then after the back door deals are done, the cash in on them and run with the money. It needs to be penalized and regulated but not total control.

Tighter restrictions and laws on better oil drilling. Using tighter/ better cement could have prevented the problem. You see the Deepwater Horizon Oil Well was cemented shut, therefore nothing can be leaked out. Instead 20 hours later, natural gas and oil started leaking, and Boom. Failure of cement and casing.
@ldrsquad The thing is, the safety regs they had for the oil rig were enough to keep everything safe. The regs show that had they followed them this probably wouldnt have happened. So we need to put more on them? It could have been just an accident but it could have been pure laziness. Probably the latter. But the regs were enough. How about making sure those are enforced then add to them if we need. Its like health care, lets fix what we already have, see how that works, then more if needed.

Something is introduced that isn't supposed to be introduced, for example Nitrogen-Charged-Cement at high depths, leading to the worst oil spill disaster so far in history. Lazyiness? maybe, or they should've stuck to the previous cement that was used in the past. Or it could be something else, atm its just speculation. But Congress is investigating the problem and prevent it from happening again, with regulations.

@Hendrick4404 I don't like the new healthcare that Obama has introduced, but there isn't really much change from what I looked at. You still need to have an HMO. Quality doesn't seem to change. The Government will pay for your expenses as proof that you are a citizen, but they will fine you if you don't have health insurance. Coverage is extended for those with per-existing conditions (HMOs can't drop you anymore+) and for young adults who had coverage with their parents. More benefits, but meh.

I wish he'd kept this show up. In some places he was beating out the major late night shows. Doing this and the radio show was pretty fatiguing, though, so he opted to stick with his primary format.

Just enough government to keep us safe but no more. T. Roosevelt was a Progressive. If you dont know about Progressive you need to find out. Progressives want to expand government almost to the point of total control and thats not what the Constitution permits nor is what the Founders wanted. They knew that was bad.

Its not about what party he is from, its the actions he did as President: which was different laws and acts--Government regulation of food labels and products. @ldrsquad Im not disagreeing that we need some regulation. Obviously the FDA and FCC are good things but the government cant be in bed with them. It needs to be limited regulation on these things. Again, just enough to keep us safe but not total control. As far as Enron, its like getting people believing in something to invest, then after the back door deals are done, the cash in on them and run with the money. It needs to be penalized and regulated but not total control.

Tighter restrictions and laws on better oil drilling. Using tighter/ better cement could have prevented the problem. You see the Deepwater Horizon Oil Well was cemented shut, therefore nothing can be leaked out. Instead 20 hours later, natural gas and oil started leaking, and Boom. Failure of cement and casing.

@ldrsquad The thing is, the safety regs they had for the oil rig were enough to keep everything safe. The regs show that had they followed them this probably wouldnt have happened. So we need to put more on them? It could have been just an accident but it could have been pure laziness. Probably the latter. But the regs were enough. How about making sure those are enforced then add to them if we need. Its like health care, lets fix what we already have, see how that works, then more if needed.

Something is introduced that isn't supposed to be introduced, for example Nitrogen-Charged-Cement at high depths, leading to the worst oil spill disaster so far in history. Lazyiness? maybe, or they should've stuck to the previous cement that was used in the past. Or it could be something else, atm its just speculation. But Congress is investigating the problem and prevent it from happening again, with regulations.

@ldrsquad I cant prove that in their regs that it didnt prohibit using that concrete. But ive heard many many times that if they had followed there own regs it probably wouldnt have happened. Maybe we need regs of our own to make for sure, but its just more and more regulations that are being passed in ways that the Constitution that doesnt allow to happen. Then when the government created the Patriot Act to try to combat it, people were going crazy on it. Although Patriot Act was a little too harsh, in my opinion, the government did something about national security. Human lives have to be lost or put in danger. So they blame the government, then the government tries to fix it, and get bit in the ass.

@Hendrick4404 I don't like the new healthcare that Obama has introduced, but there isn't really much change from what I looked at. You still need to have an HMO. Quality doesn't seem to change. The Government will pay for your expenses as proof that you are a citizen, but they will fine you if you don't have health insurance. Coverage is extended for those with per-existing conditions (HMOs can't drop you anymore+) and for young adults who had coverage with their parents. More benefits, but meh.

They used NitrogenCharged Cement, which requires a lot of maintenance and careful work to use. This type of cement was not used before, in the depth of where it was used, and may have contributed to the explosion. Now supervisors, execs have to testify to Congress, and Government will try to get to the bottom of the mess and prevent it from occurring again

After Clinton leaves though, our debts becomes 5trillion$, and when Bush leaves 9 trillion in debt, Obama takes office unemployment is 10%, and Socialized healthcare is passed (mandatory payment and you will automatically be enrolled onto it you have 0 choice in the matter).

There's a major difference between proper Democrats & Republicans and the radical left wing & right wing fringe groups. Most people tend not to take the extremes on the right seriously, which is good. But the problem today is that much of the elected Democratic party and many constituents and of course the unscrupulous media, are now made up of the radical looney left as opposed to proper democrats. I think Pelosi is the absolute worst of them since the Clintons.
