  • That was truly inapirational. Love you Amena <33 =)

  • @sabrinasix1 meee tooo - but i dont let it get to me cuz i try my hardest to pleas allah only - its sometimes so hard being the only hijabi in school but it definatly makes me thank allah even more and more because i have found the right path and im always gnna stick to it inshallah - good luck girl :)

  • your story is inspiring Insha Allah i want to start wearing it very soon.

  • this is inspiring. my parents were just discussing with me that i should wear hijab as im a teenager. i just wasnt prepared. but hearing your reasons, i might just reconsider (: thanks

  • @imhamstercrazee hello .god blessed u . hope u get ready ASAP;

  • Yes you are pretty. Wearing the hijab is okay if it is worn voluntarily and not because of family and social pressure. Easier to wear in a cold country. By the way, there is nothing in the Quran compelling women to cover the hair, face, arms or legs...only that they dress modestly and cover their breasts. Not that many Muslims seem to know that, because non Arabic Muslims have only read the book in Arabic and haven't a clue what the contents mean.

  • @69arden pity....u thought u know sadly u dun..xD....firstly u need to know what is aurah...=)

  • I am Christian and I think the hijab is beautiful and I am very fond of women in the U.S. and Europe who wear it by choice for the sake of being modest. I love the concept and I love all the colors you can wear and it isn't just for Muslim women. Catholic nuns and Amish girls cover their heads too, and I covered my head in church with my dupatta when I was in India. It was quite humbling. ;) Anyways, it was awesome hearing your story as a sister of the book.

  • I used to wear the hijab, I realise that the hijab itself does not hide ones beauty, we have sisters who thin the eyebrows, wearing heavy load of foundation, the whole objective is lost in wearing a hijab now a days . In fact I used to get non Muslim blokes who used to look, due to this I spoke to my husband and asked him if I can wear the nikab, he was very please with the choice I made, I feel this the nikab is far better to cover and increase our imaan!

  • @Faruk1189 but why would you want to cover that much? why do you CHOSE to hide your beauty?

  • @Tromboneuse i think some women prefer to avoid attention from people other than husband/ family.. to stop being bothered by outside men.

  • thank you so much for this, i have been looking for somethting like this on youtube. im a 14 year old muslim girl in cambridge ma and id love to wear it, but im not sure im ready, i feel like at first it might be hard. thank you so much, may ALLAH reward you for this, you have done a great deed sharing your story and honestly this will play a big part in my decision. A lot of your feelings is exactly how i feel, so again thank you and may Allah always be with you.

  • @Mrviper0811

it is very refreshing to find a man defending Hijabi ladies :) my experience has always been The opposite :)

    thank you. x

  • @Gripgrlz

    @Mrsshirotora

    @puddycat11385

I'm Christian and I Love my Hijab! people know you're religious and expect to be respected.

The images of Mother Mary always show her with her hair covered, and there's passages in The bible that many women read to mean we should cover our hair, look to them for support of your decision. x

  • Hi, I recently (October 25, 2011) reverted after I had been studying Islam for a very long time. I immediately began wearing the hijab, I don't really know why, but I felt as though Allah willed it. I love wearing it and it heals my heart and soul!

  • @AmandeDeAmerique i can tell u why it is so important to wear hijab, if u want. im a muslim boy.

  • MashAllah you're story is inspiring. My story with hijab is very similar/ I am 21, and I just started wearing a hijab last week and it has been great so far. I have had lots of people ask me why I started wearing it since I dressed fairly modest before as well but I don't mind explaining.

  • many people ask me the same ques tht why i wear hejab too?i started it from 2007 after coming from hajj.the thing is i didn't think of any reason actually.so, i can't ans tht.do u think it is wrong tht i don't have any specific reason.i just started wearing it.i didn't think of not wearing it or why should i wear or stuff like tht.if u got time than pls reply me.thx.

  • I really like the hijab but the material is not skin friendly or at least the ones I see on people.I am surprised not many textile designers have come up with material other than synthetic based that is commonly found. Why don't people wear linen? Dyed indigo linen with a bit of wool might be interesting?

  • this hijab is the best

  • I don't oppose it in any way. I just want to ask about some of your reasoning. I understand that it is to please Allah, and that he orders that you should wear it. But in the same context if he ordered you to like kill in his name to please him would you? I don't want to sound hateful just was kinda wondering. Please don't take this the wrong way:(

  • Thank you sooo much sister your videos helped me alot in my decision to wear hijab alhamdullah :)

  • this is very touching :)

  • Okay so I'm only 13 and I'v started wearing hijab, but other muslims mock me and say you have to wear it properley and commit to it otherwise there's no point wearing it but i know i'm doing it for allah and not them, so thank you i love your videos, marshallah!! :)

  • You are stunning & I find yr videos very entertaining. Curious - after that day in the restroom when you decided to wear the hijab, do yr sisters now where it too?

    I am a non- Muslim btw :)

  • Asalamu alaikum Amena and the other sisters...

I'm a revert and live in UK and have to tell my parents and friends soon....I went through a very spiritual phase and I'm so thankful that Allah SWT showed me the right path...

But unfortunately my family and friends are not really supportive and I know already that they won't like it as they believe that girls have to look beautiful for the society...

It's really painful if you realise that there is no support and I'm really struggling at the mome

  • @MeenaShehzadi I'll pray for you inshaAllah sister. Quite often there are gatherings of sisters that take place at mosques- you could join, you'd be surrounded by like-minded people who would support you.

  • @MeenaShehzadi I do fully understand how you feel. I am from eastern european country where most people are christians and all they know about islam is from what they see on TV and newspapers (which you can imagine is not all positives).Last week I started wearing hijab,I love it, but ilive in a small town, I can notice all black looks that i get, but then I do it from love to Allah and it is worth everything. My next step is to tell my family about me converting and hijab...really nervous...

  • i am a revert to islam and wear the hijab in uk , living here is no excuse not to obey Allah swt , in fact i think born muslims should show a good example to new people as its obviously more difficult when u have resistance from family and non muslim friends etc , if we can do so can every muslim woman Insha Allah

  • assalumalaikum warehmatullahi wabarakatuhu...........i m a 17 year old girl ....nd i started wearing hijab after watching ur videos........ i really like this...... and hope the other muslims to feel the same........ may allah bless u.. :)

  • you're so beautiful :) Ive began wearing it since 4 days, At first i was scared of people's reactions, but Ive never felt so peaceful and great before, I love God and I obey Him!

  • "toddles"??

say Asalaamulaykum sister at the end lol

  • To ALL guys out there who are CURSING women who wears a hijab...Dig deeper into your soul fellas!!Remember, that the BLESSED MOTHER MARY and ALL other saints wears it too..WHY?Because it is more pleasing to GOD almighty..It is also written in the bible, women should cover their hair, but if not they better shaved all of it..ISLAM is a religion of LOGIC / BEING RATIONAL / AND REASONING..Don't curse women who wears hijab because their just following what is written and submitting to GOD'S will..

  • Beautiful hijab ♥ :)

  • Amena, I can totally relate 2 u. My imaan kept on going up, then down. And ever since i started wearing the hijab, I have never been so religious in my whole life. And my life has suddenly turned so good. Subhan Allah, Alhamdullilah. Amena, u r such a lovely person and I would cry if u die... :"(

  • Beautifully said! I have struggled with the "calling" to wear a head scarf for several years (mostly I wasn't sure of why, how, where to find other Catholic's who wear head scarves, inside of church is rare, out side is unheard of!)

I have been experimenting with different types to find what is comfortable and preferred. I have learned a lot from your video's and thank you for sharing this particular one. When God asks, it is hard to say no!

  • ive been wearing a scarf since i was in year 4 and now i have doubts. but my friends gave me advice and now i wear a scarf all the time.

  • Aww

  • Your story is very interesting, thanks for sharing. I'm not Muslim - in fact I'm an atheist, so the hijab is not for me. However, I appreciate the sinercity and honesty in which you speak. It's proof to all those ignorant people who see the hijab as a symbol of oppression that the hijab, like anything, is what you make of it. You wear it beautifully, and I think it's because you chose to wear it, and your sincere reasons for doing so. :)

  • @dini190 allthough you are an athiest you do still respect our culture and thats what i love. in my opinion thats the additude everybody should have.... respect for someone who has a different religion and different thoughts.... that how a little bit more peace could come to the world !

  • Salam Sister ALHAMDULA, It's good that you are wearing hijab, but unfortunately we Muslim have become so different form early's muslim, some time we do thing but we don't know why that's because lack of illem. The sisters have to wear hijab because so they will look beautiful no that's not right. The female have to wear hijab because it's a command of ALMIGHTY ALLAH. If any one ask you why do you wear it just say that.

  • I am a man who was blessed enough to become muslim three years ago in the military. I live under constant pressures of misunderstanding and ignorance that I frequently correct. Allah has blessed me with a daughter so I would like input on how to raise her to acknowledge the relevance of hijab when her mother is non muslim that I pray Allah will bless with shahadah

  • @poeticjae2tha well what i have done is i bought her own hijab and i let her watch eg. sister amena's tutorials and so forth. the other thing you could is buy her a doll that wears a hijab (you could buy these online or at islamic shops). so by speak to your daughter and making her aware that this is what the Quran says. insha'allah this helps.

  • cause guys have no respect these days, and hijab is freedom showing them that you are not a hoe. wow i started a year later too after marriage and i had no pressure at all although my husban is quite religious. I think hijab is needed with all the stalking perverts on the streets and that does not mean you cant beautify yourself or wax your facial hairs, it means back offf

  • S.A AMENA U R THE BEST

  • I really want to wear a Hijab, but the thing is we have a lot of back chatters in my school, who say a lot of bad things about people, and I personally don't like getting attention, because that's just 'not my style' ? I guess.

But I really want to wear a Hijab but I don't know what to do because the people in my school are bad, they notice everything and I know asoon as I put it on, all the attention will be on me, and people will start to say stuff. I'm 15 in year 11.

  • @baybiisk just wait till college, it will be a new start new friends and all that, no one would notice and also try to get your confidence and self esteem up and think less about what others will think because that will always hold you back

  • Asalaam Alaikum my name is Rubina Khan. That is my muslim name. I'm a recent convert. I am 14 years old and I will be 15 next month. I live in a non Muslim community. I have been wanting to wear the hijab but, my parents do not know about my conversion. My dad is a Christian minister and my mom is a sunday school teacher at a Christian church also. I do have a boyfriend and I have told him I do not believe in Christianity anymore. I have a Muslim friend from India and he teaches me alot about I

  • @AllisonandDaniel

Mashallah sis, inshallah everything will become easy for you, i have loads of friends that have converted to Islam. :)

  • I'm in the 7th grade and sometimes I could be REALLY difficult wearing a Hijab in a public school especially at times when you have pressure from your own Muslim friends that don't wear it and make you feel like what your doing is a non-compulsory act.. Jazakallah Khair Amena for your videos (hijab tutorials) which really help me (:

  • i wear a headscarf tuu im bengali u went saudi tuu do um rah and i luved wearin it buh wen i went tu secondary i wanted tu take it off buh now i knw its compulsory and ure relii prettii and plz do another one of these xxxx

  • It's great that you started wearing it as soon as you found out that it's compulsory. I got to know a little about it when I was 15 and i got really intrigued. Then I started studying about it and took a whole year to prepare myself. I guess my Imaan/Faith wasn't as strong as it is now at that time. I feel I have a long way to go too, hijab for me is just a step towards becoming a better Muslim and it reminds me that as a Muslim I should behave a certain way and stay away from certain things.

  • @khansaaab its never 2 late for netin......gud u startd wearin at 15 .....but i got this understandin way lng after....

  • Aslwlkm sis. I am 14 years old and I started wearing hijab about 3 years ago. I don't come from a very religious household but my parents did teach us about Islam when we were little. I had the kinda same experience as you because me and my sisters went to london once and we had to wear hijab because we were going to a cousins house. I also never knew hijab was compulsary and then my older sister mentioned that it was and ever since that day its stayed on and i've been praying. Alhamdulliah! (o:

  • whaaaaaat she over the age of 20 :O woooow

  • If you love someone you want to please them. I'm a Christian and that's precisely my reason for covering my hair and dressing modestly. I really get tired of the the "we have to cover up to keep men in check" arguments. That's nothing compared to doing it for the love of God. It's superficial understandings that put people off.

  • Salam alaykom, ive been married for nearly four yrs this august, im a revert, and no, hehe i didnt convert/revert for him. i come from a fairly religious household. (christian) they were'nt ever accepting of my life choices. thought it was all a "faze" until last yr, oct, i put the hijab on. lets just say, nothing has really been the same since, my father is on a mission to prove Islam is an evil and man made religion, and my mother, is still hoping its all a faze.

  • Mashallah, I am happy that you could make you're own decision. i mean, a lot of women wear a hijab because they want to staisfied their spouse or parents and not because their'e convinced by wearing it.

but i am verry curious where/ wich islamic country are you from? if you don't want to answer please dont. i dont want to come in to your'e territory

    yours,

  • Simple, lovely, understanding, calming, touching, thank you... : )

  • amazing story... i am a convert & completely understand the process you have spoke of and of course the feeling of protection that managed to make its way into my heart faster then i thought was possible. It was a split second decision & I have never taken it off since... all thanks to GOD.

  • @toniadez may I ask, when you say a feeling of protection... What do you mean?

  • Awsome Video!!

  • I'm not muslim, but i'm strongly thinking i might wear one when i'm older. my parents would not approve. But its so beautiful; i think it helps bring people closer to God and helps people see you for who you are!

  • @gripgrlz Beautiful comment. I respect your broad thinking.

  • @gripgrlz If who you are is very religious...then yes, it would help people see you for who you are if you wear hijab (if you live in the West). The fact of the matter is that in Western society, if you wear hijab, most people will see you as a very religious person, and will take everything you say with that in mind. It's not fair, but it's the truth. No, you won't be looked at as a sexual object, but you still might not be taken seriously. We in the West have a lot of growing up to do...

  • @gripgrlz I agree I'm non muslim as well however i feel that hijabs bring you closer to God and to your inner self.

  • so thats basically why a muslim women wears her hijab too and if you believen one God and all the blessed prophets ur basically muslim ;)

  • @gripgrlz SURE GOD WILL HELP U CUZ U HAVE THE IDEA THERE. respects from me to uu. by the way im muslim i can answer any question u want.

  • Thank you sis' jazakAllah kheir for this video it is really helpful for me :D

  • i know its rude to ask but if you dont mind how old are youu

  • ur so adoreable mashallah...

  • subhanAllah isnt it so beautiful how Allah puts that will in our hearts???

I just wore it one day and just walked out of my house...and Alhamdulillah i wouldnt give it up for the world!

    <3

  • I LOVE THE WAY YOU DID YOUR HIJAB IN THIS VIDEO!!!!!!

please can you do a tutorial for this style. i have not been wearing hijab for long and i am still experimenting with different styles.

p.s. i love your tutorials and i have used many of your styles. They have helped me so much. Thanks sooooooo much..... :D

  • You are inspirational.

  • salamu alaykum i love that dress thing your wearing i wonder where it is from

  • Asalamu alaykum, I'd like to share my story. I had 3 false starts with wearing hijab when I was a teen. It was the right thing to do but my heart wasn't there at that point. Alhumdulilah, in my early 20's I came to a point were I was ready to wear hijab on my head and try to best the best Muslim I can in my behaviour. I wore hijab for 3 months and then added the niqaab. I've been wearing niqaab for over 3 years now Alhumdulilah and I will never look back.

  • Assalam o alaikum sis....Your vids are an inspiration...I started practising hijab a year back, I am currently residing in KSA and its pretty easy to simply wear a black hijab, however, I am worried about wearing hijab when I return to Bombay, India..the weather is really humid and hot, winter doesnot exist...I really wish if you could do a few vids more for the summer style hijabs .Jazak Allah ..

  • assalamu alaykum sister. u r beautiful mashallah. i have started wearing hijab 3 days ago and i must say it feels fantastic. ur tutorials have helped me a lot and i must say tht u hav inspired me. subhanallah.

keep up d good work sis.

    jazakallahu khairan

  • hi, I have a question, what is the difference between the women who wear hijabs and show their face and those who are all covered up except for their eyes? Also can anyone wear a hijab or do I have to be a Muslim.? Im so curious about all this, I wish I had a Muslim friend to interrogate..lol about all this. I live in NY City, you'd think I'd know some Muslims but I don't, where I live no one wears hijabs, don't know why. btw you look beautiful in your hijaabs, the colored ones are very pretty.

  • @Puddycat11385 there is no real difference in people who wear hijab (just covers hair) or niquab (only eyes showing). Its all personal choice, or belifs about how much youi should cover. and no muslims can wear it, i would just suggest dressing modestly when you do.

  • hi.since the first time i watched ur video i started thinking about wearing hijab but i have a prob.im not financially ready becoz i dont have job and i dont have money to buy all the dresses and hijab....inshaalah one day i will wear hijab..

  • six months ago when I first watched this movi a friend of mine who is only 2 years older than me and whose wedding was last year died . I was in a shock I thought of d same thing that u said toward d end what if I die in a state where Im nt wearing a scarf or doing another sin. ths is when I started wearing it.was a lttle hard 2 convince my family cuz I Iive in US & they ll be worried about me but my heart got stronger the day I wore it. I am only 22 but no one knows when he or she will die.

  • Salaam, thank you so much for sharing your 'story' as to how and why you began wearing a hijab. Personally for me I found your video very moving and inspirational.

I have been wearing a hijab for about 5 months now and still find that I am continuously struggling within myself to keep wearing it and also with doing my salah's. Sadly, I do not have any friends or family members around me who are practising muslims and I have found that the lack of influence makes the struggle that little bit mor

  • Assalamu alaikum warahmatullah, I just wanted to say thank you for this. I used to wear hijab but took it off when I came to Canada. I think its the worst decision I ever made..but I had a lot on my plate, had to establish here, support parents back home, mum schizophrenic, etc etc. Now I've mashaallah established here, got a pr, soon a phd inshaAllah and series work as a scientist . Please include me in your du'a that I can get back to hijab. I find it so hard to wear it to work.

  • Sallam I saw ur vdo on fb n decided to watch some other vdoz of urs. I love the way u do ur scarf Iv been wearing scarf fir over 2/3years alhamdulla (same style black) but I lik ur style of wearing it. Hope u can show how u have done it. As my lil niece age10 wants to wear it. She always asks me to do a stylish hijab if u no wht mean lol

  • Assalam o Alakum

I love you sister and you have become a source of inspiration. I keep giving your example to a lot of ppl around me.

  • sister, very inspiring story abot your Hijab.

but most of us are covering our heads but most of us wear tight clothes.

so we all should start wearing loose clothes!

  • Asalam O Alaikum,

I came across your video by accident and I thought it was very informative. I did not know that hijab was compulsory. I have had this debate with many of my family members but no one has ever given me a clear answer. I come from a traditional family but not a necessarity religious one and for the past few years or so I have been venturing more and more into Islam. I have been contemplating wearing hijab but I am most worried about what my family will think. Any advice?

  • Salam everyone!! I just wanted to say that yr journey is AMAZING!! I think it is so great that u had the guts to just start wearing the hijab there and then!

I wanted to ask for advice 2 because I am 15 + want to start wearing hijab. But my mum started wearing it about 6 years ago. Since I was 13, she has been making subtle hints that I shud start wearing it. I want to wear it but am worried abt what people will + wether they will treat me different. I kno it sounds totally shallow bt plz helpx

  • my parents made me wear hijab when i was 10 and i only wore it to school and to parties and stuff my mom said ti was okay to take it off and outside i didnt have to wear it, if i could say this was the "brown" style of wearing hijab im 15 now and i took hijab off so i odnt wear it to school anymore, i've been thinking about wearing it permenently in a little while but should i just wait until im married? idk hijab just doesnt suit me because i dont like how the focus is on my face

  • @aamna95

Salam sweetie, you shouldn't worry about what people think and to me, when it's compulsory to wear it, we just wear it to please Allah. Maybe you're not used to it yet, but give it a try, InsyaAllah, Allah will open your heart towards hijab. :) Don't fret, okay? Try different styles of hijab wearing, like sister Amena teaches here. Take it one step at a time, okay? ;)

  • Assalamu alaikum sister..I just wanted to tell u that ur video impressed me a lot..I am a revert and I have a HUGE problem about wearing hijab because I live in a little town and for me is really forbidden by my parents to wear it, even if they see I'm suffering 'cause I'm forced to not show my religion to the other people (and also them)..What can I do?DO I have to obey my parents (as Allah (SWT) says) or do I have to follow my religion?plz, somebody help me!!!

  • @LadyInTheDesert Continued... I pray that Allah swt make it easy upon you and help you practice Al Islam freely and in the best way you can. Ameen

  • @LadyInTheDesert alsalamu alaykom im actually really impressed by you people that are not arabs and u follow islam and you wear hijab (L) im from saudi arabia and we study islam in school and what you said is true you must obey your parents but when they are doing something that is well kind of bad u must follow your religion i dont want to cause problems but i just thought id tell you that <3 may alla make your life easy <3

  • sis you are glowing mashaallah!! I looked a wreck when I was expecting, lol

  • Salam. Thank you and thank you to all the sisters who posted their comments. I'm a new convert and I want to wear the hijab. I'm probably telling my parents I converted tomorrow. I've learned so much and I wanted to be able to answer the questions they had without misrepresnting Islam. The decision comes from my heart but I've been trying to find the words to explain that inner light that does a little dance of pleasure when I wear it when I pray.

  • Thank very much for this video.

I'm a young Muslim girl, I just stated wearing hijab. It's the best feeling. I'm already beginning to see changes in myself and in my life. I wish I learned about Islam earlier in life. But Allah knows best. Thanks for the tips on wearing hijab. I've been getting a lot of compliments.

  • MashaAllah, beautiful :)

  • I SIMPLY LOVE SHAYKH HAMZA YUSUF!

    AWEEE YEAAAAAAAAAH ♥

  • @TheEdibleSarah

Salaam,Awwwh, why would anyone bee mean about it?

Its command from Allah(swt). Do it nothing is holding you back, I mean intialy the final choice lies in your hands. This is also a form of Jihad.

Life is a test. Allah(swt) tests people and he tests them according to their level of Imaan. And Allah(swt) is so Merciful, He does not put his slaves through a test which they cannot pass. So my dear sister, take this as a test from Allah azawajul and wear your hijab Fisabililah.

  • Thanks for sharing your story hun!

  • i am a christian, but i would like to wear the hijab because i love what it symbolizes. I feel that teens need to dress modest and i do already.

Would it be weird for others to see me as a christian wearing the hijab?

    Please help me.

    Thanks

  • @annamasengarb Please do learn about the religion which protects women and give them their rights. • @theediblesarah

hi i think you know deep down you should and shouldn't need anyone confirmation but your own. What is your step mother reason behind this?

  • Hello, im a gurl living in canada ,i go to high shcool and guess wat ppl and other student alwase asking me why do you ware this, some say ur so beatiful ,some say take it off i bet u have great hair but i say its a beauty to me just waring it they look at me O_o other =O and some =D .i mean sometime i want to take it off becaus they annoy me but its for Allah not for them .. Loved this vedio shared my story A+ to all muslim gurls who are waring the higab .

  • @SuperMakeupdoll You really need to learn how to spell better, I can hardly understand what any of this said.

  • @SuperMakeupdoll Before I became Muslim, I was one of the people who would be like "=D" if I saw a hijabi. I've always thought Hijiabs were beautiful, even when I was little and had no idea what Muslims were. Haha.

I don't wear Hijab now, but I will someday. :)

Maybe in my early 20's I'll begin wearing it.

  • Thanks for sharing your story. Some fellow college students and I tried to do a school project on how Muslim women felt about wearing hijab or niqab, why they wore it, and how the non-Muslim people around them treated them because they wore it. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get anyone to agree to an interview. It's a shame. The other ladies in my group and I were disappointed. I think understanding another's viewpoint promotes peace and benefits everyone. But you can't force people to share.

  • cool girl :D

  • I am enjoying your hijab videos. I find the many styles to be very beautiful. I'm not a Muslim. I am a Christian. I've had a similar experience with feeling a call to know more about my faith and a few months ago read that I am supposed to wear a veil. I've tried a few styles, but nothing continuous. Is it weird that I am considering wearing a hijab? I think my family (who is already put off by my veil) will be uncomfortable. I just want to do what is right.

  • Asalaamualikum, I just wanted to say, I also didn't use to wear hijaab, but I longed to, and I had friends who inspired me, one day I decided I would also wear it correctly. Alhumdulillah since I've been wearing it, I also feel very blessed and exactly like the way you feel, it's like a sense of understanding of you who are and your relationship with Allah Subhahu watalah. May Allah bless and continue to guide you. Ameen

  • dats a wnderful story! mashallah!

  • I am still nervous though but I know its the right thing to do. Any suggestions or tips? You have beautiful hijabs by the way :)

  • @sabangme yes your right, wearing a hijab has to come from within. personally, i think If you are forced, then it doesnt mean anything to you.

  • salam Amena, ive started wearing hijab a few days back with having basic knowledge of how to wear it but still i wore it without any underscarf or proper scarf pins.... i gained alot of knowledge by seeing your videos Mashallah you r doing a great job... may Allah reward u for this... can u give a link for the video of simple and basic hijab wearing... Thanks

  • Salam Amena, I saw your video on the YouTube homepage recommendations section and had to watch it because of the title. Alhamdulillah you have decided to wear the hijab. Its a great step in strengthening your belief in Islam. I know at times it may seem hard but it will make you stronger as a muslim. Its worth it. I'm glad you have chosen to wear it and I hope you will inspire other woman to do so also. Great vid. I have subbed and cant wait to see more from you!

  • masha allah. and tislem yedic..... thank you so much for sharing your story for us to hear.

  • You're beautiful

  • I agree with JamieMcLochlin. Even though I do not wear hijab, I often admire a woman's scarf when it is draped so beautifully. I try not to be rude and stare, but, of course, it is obvious when someone is looking you. One of the reasons I love these videos is because it removes some of the mystery behind how the scarves are arranged, so I hope I do not make women uncomfortable in public by looking too long.

All of this is just to say, when I look it is because I am find it so lovely.

  • Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

Cant believe I am watching this video so late. 2:54 and 6:40 bought tears to my eyes. There is so much weight in some of the things u said and I guess I can relate hence the level of emotion I felt. Weird how I started my quest for knowledge at 22 also even though there was strong islamic practice and constant reminder within our household.

May Allah guide us all towards His pleasure and obedience to Him. Ameen! Love you Feesabillilah!

  • I have noticed some of the comments people leave here mention being stared at when they are out in public. I am not Muslim, but I wanted to say that I've always thought it looks beautiful when a woman wears a Hijab/head covering like the ones you wear. I am a Gnostic Christian and very interested in learning about the different ways that people choose to show their love for God. So, I wanted to let you know, sometimes the stares are from people who just find it interesting or beautiful. :-)

  • Mashallah! I absolutely LOVE this video! I actually started tearing up. You story is almost EXACTLY like mine. I couldn't believe it! May Allah (swt) continue you to bless you, sister. Asalaam walaikum. :)

  • Assalamu'alaikum sister. I've been meaning to wear a hijab for a while now. I'm 18 this year, but I still don't feel entirely comfortable wearing it until I know for sure that it is sincerely done. sometimes it feels like I'm a bad person for not wearing it, but I want to wear it for the right reasons. thank you for putting this video up! it was nice to listen to how you got more involved with Islam. and by the way, I think you look lovely wearing a hijab :)

  • Mashallah

  • Thank you for sharing your story, It was heartfelt and at the same time I was able to relate. I enjoy your videos as well, I like your unique hijab styles. It's been almost 2 years since I started wearing the hijab, again. I am not a convert or revert, however, I am thankful to Allah SWT that I had the courage to put the Hijab back on. It took a while of getting used to and I finally have a style that fits my face(I wore it plain as a child). Ramadan Mubarak and I wish you many blessing.

  • You Are Truly InsPiring :)

    Jazak'ALLAH ♥

  • Aww when did u get married?

It seemed to me like you couldn't be past the age of 23,wow you look young nice : )

  • Salam Amena, its nice listening to your story about how you started wearing hijab. Im not wearing hijab now but im trying to learn different ways i can wear it in the near future. Insya'allah. Your videos have taught me many ways than i knew. I hope you will keep on posting more videos as i continue to embark on this learning journey with you.

  • Salaam Amenakin, I love the story! Sometimes Allah gives us signs in a way we don't expect & then we'll be like 'Hey, why didn't i think of that before?' I'm 24 now & still not wearing the Hijab as of yet. I hope Allah will open my heart & give me hidayah so I can be a better Muslim for Him. Was just googling how to wear hijab & I'm ever so happy to find u. I've subscribed & will use ur vids as reference in future when I've made my decisions to wear it :) tysm! May Allah bless u :)

  • Salam Amena,

a very interesting insight. Especially when you mentioned the change or allowing something to change your character... It reminds me again of what Islam is for us: an every day renewable chance to do the effort to improve yourself according to Allah's (s.t.) interests.

    Salam

  • m going thru the same phase...started following hijab this month....yeh nd the stethoscope friendly hijab really helps

  • how to you do th scarf can u do a vido of how to wear that kind of scarf

  • love your hijab tutorials. Could u pls post some styles that are fashionable but allow you to put your stethescope on underneath. I also don't have a lot of time to spend getting dressed in the AM. Could you post some quick makeup tips. Love your eye makeup, but don't have the luxury of time for it.. Thanks

  • great jobbbb

  • i'm not muslim myself, but i just want to say that this video was so refreshing. you are extremely well-spoken and very expressive.. thank you so much for sharing something w/ us that was very personal to you, not many people can be so open. you are a beautiful girl inside and out (:

  • sister :) i totally agree with you :) you're story is really nice :)

Honestly, I think muslim women who wear scarves are really beautiful :) but of course, it also depends whether they have inner beauty as well..

  • what do you think about Niqab, and stares?

  • @Jashikakazino...sorry if I misspelled ur name. Wow MASSALLAH it's amazing that you are converting. If you can convert and you love God (Allah SWT) you can wear hijab. No one will say anything n if they do you ignore. Plus if you use amenakins amazing styles ppl will be asking u "OMG u look gorgeous how did u do that???" :) good luck

  • SubhanAllah... Allah has chosen you because he is happy with your deeds

  • Salam Amena, your story is similar to mine. like you I have started wearing hijab after I got married (4 months) when i started learning about Islam! i was also a practicing muslim and said my prayers and everything but never thought about doing hijab. i can totally relate to u:) I also made a quick decision about wearing it. Thanks for sharing your story:) May Allah bless you

  • when you decide to become a full hijabi do you have to stop listining to music ?

  • salam amena! wow really good that u did this....i think its important to start it urself and not the force of the parents or so....i have a Question.....where are u from?

  • Salaam, I am MashAllah a Muslim and a practicing one. I dress very modestly, I am 15 yrs old and I go to highchool but never do anything inappropriately. I would just like to know where it says that we have to wear a hijab. I think the hijab is very pretty and it gives such a graceful look but dontwear it becuase i love to style my hair and make it look nice. Doesnt mean i act seductive or anytign, just to look nice for mysellf. Thank u

  • I am going to convert to Islam, and I plan on wearing the hijab, insha'Allah. I'll be honest, I'm scared of what people will think. Does anyone have any tips?

  • great video thanx for sharing ...

  • Salam Sister.... Beautiful video... i know exactly how it is to decide to wear it, and face all the faces and complaints, from friends, and family... it is not easy... i'm a revert and it's pretty hard to face everyone, and get no support at all

  • I appreciate your honesty and sincerity regarding your journey to wearing the hijaab. I never really knew why it was worn, but you have made it clear. Thanks for sharing such a personal story.

  • Assalam O Alaikum,

I am not muslim but do wear hijab & I too can say I have noticed the difference in the way people look & treat me.

I think its nice. Just dont think people should PUSH the issue. I think "WE" should choose to

  • @mrsm24 It is interesting and inspiring to hear of a non-muslim girl wearing hijab! I read on a blog that the hijab is a God-given right to all womankind, because all women should be able to look past others' and their own bodies as a symbol of beauty or worth.

  • wow fantastic story its so great keepit up.... ameena i wanted to know if u had any other ideas of helping people find islam e.gfind peace and start to find happness in this religion cus i have bin trying to pratice islam for bot 5 yrs but jus finding it hard to keep strong will u pls help me out thanks sister.... i do wear the hajab.... and i some times wear the julbab....

  • Asalaam alaikum, Amena. I'm a new revert & can use all the help I can get, insh'Allah. I've read that post-menopausal sisters have "relaxed" hijab. I don't recall where I read it and I'd like to know what you know, if anything, on this subject. Shukran!

  • It's way later, but to DeadlyTeaParty... I don't think you have to be a Muslim to wear hijab, because it's a modest lifestyle choice that can apply to anyone. Worth noting that both the Torah and the Bible suggest women cover their heads. The hijab may be the symbol of a Muslim woman, but I think it can be more than that too. I just started to wear it, like others I struggle with it, since I live in Japan now and my parents are Christian. I get a lot of stares for sure, but I try to be brave!

  • you look like 18 yeas old and so young you in you 20s wow i love your story i wear only around other brother and sister as iam new to islam so i find it hard to wear one but i see what you saying and thanks you so much sister and thank u for showing me how to wear a hijab i dont have people to talk to about it so thank u again

  • Salaam Amena, i hope i found u in the best of health insha'allah, i watch all ur video's and find them all interesting masha'allah, altho i dont wear a hijab i have the intention of starting insha'allah, i just dont know why i cant start wearing it and i struggle, maybe you can give me some words of encoragement :)

  • We need more muslim women like you to express their views to show the world that we're not suppressed but infact more liberated as we are the ones who are able to express ourselves when all others conform out of fear or ignorance.

  • salam

ive actually checked ur web but does not have that under scarf so can u try to update it if possible

  • The reason many Muslim ladies do not wear hijab is not because they don't want to be religious or they don't want to please Allah (SWT)but because they have not learned or were not taught how to associate pain and pleasure to wearing it. So the million dollar question is that how do we associate pain and pleasure to Hijab??? Find out why the daughter of RasoolAllah wore hijab.

  • SubhanAllah,,,,and MashaAllah.....Very nice thoughts and very true...May Allah SWT guide all Muslimahs, ameen.

  • Part one...

I take it a Hijab can't be worn if not a Muslim? (Hope you don't mind me asking; I'm just very interested in about all of this ) You have some very lovely styles in all your videos; there seems to be an exciting element of obviously style but I don't kn
