@oggge92 That's because there were many Swedish visitors there. Including my 2 cousins, aunt and uncle who died there, except for one cousin, who lived. One also screams "run!" if you can hear it.
I really do not wish to come across as disrepectful as I know this was the worst tradegy we have had on Earth and lots of people lost there lives.....But this does not look so bad.
Was there a second wave, as this looks like it does not come much higher then the knees - you can see a guy at the end standing there to the right of the camara.

Yeah, I agree with you, but the other way to look at it is that places like Banda Ache had waves of up to 15m and there is noone left with camera footage of that because - well there was nothing left after it. I was thinking the same - saying to myself. "That dont look so bad", but those places where only hit very lightly in relative terms.
my dad dreamt of the the tsunami the day b4, he told us about it and then 2 hours later the wave hit thailand, miraculously, this happened twice in a row (not thailand of course -_-) and im not faking it, think or say what you want its true
Any idea of the name of the resort this was shot at? I was on Koh Lanta that terrible day and it really reminds me of the place I was at. I got a few pics as I was running for my life but they didn't come out too well.

The waves hit with different intensity in different places - Koh Lanta didn't suffer as much as somewhere like Ache.
