Its horses for courses, Commodore is aimed at average family man with kids and is a compromise of "bang for the buck" , Audi is the attempt at making the fastest station wagon possible, which could still live in the real world and money is no constraint. Personally for the price of Audi i take the M5 as family car.

The C63 shouldn't cost more than 100k brand new and the Porsche 150k at the absolute max (which is still just under twice as much as it costs in the US).

Luxury car tax is grade A bullshit though.

Even Aussie domestics are expensive - compare the Boss 302 to anything you can get here for 40 grand.
