Diversity's biggest plus was naming themselves "Diversity" - a sure fire way to induce self-congratulatory sensibilities in those backing them. Their act is energetic, if uninteresting & they obviously worked hard to put it together. However, they lacked the good grace/character to acknowledge Susan Boyle as she did them. Oh and yes, what exactly is 'diverse' about "Diversity'? They all looked pretty much exactly the same .. just different sizes/ages (the better to toss each other about).

if there's one thing worse than a mediocre singer, its a dance group.
and where exactly do they go with this from here? You can't tour, you can't produce a product people can buy in anyway.
Aside from maybe one or two ending up as dance instructors or in musical theatre I hope they all have second careers in mind.

Susan looks like she is on drugs. She will not last.. She looks unkempt. Her congratulation was insincere and she will be forgotten. Her records will not sell. All of her songs sound the same and she is a run of the mill good singer.

As opposed to if Susan Boyle had won? What would she be doing differently? The story might be interesting, but her voice isn't so amazing, and to be blunt, it's not like she has such a stage presence that people would pay more than $20 to hear her.
I can't imagine her CD being much a seller, and will be bought primarily as a curiosity. A second CD - if released - will go nowhere.
I could be totally wrong, but I guess time will tell.

"Pop Culture" What voters on a TV show would choose the old lady with the old songs, over a young "modern" dance troupe? Personally I would have rather had Susans 15 minutes of fame and opportunity than the 100,000 pounds.

Diversity might have one, but they can't say they have an offer to come to Las Vegas like Susan does. She's been offered to come to Vegas by Donnie Osmond to join his show. Diversity? I never heard anything look &sound so bad.IThought the performance was a pile of crap.Talent? No. Amusing as kids in a preschool. I like Susan's singing, voice but thats not my bias here. I couldn't watch diversity longer than 20 secs. Gave me the creeps to watch them . A one time act, but no talent for the long haul - I think not. Rather listen & watch my toilet flush than this act. . Yeeeeeck. Sorry. I liked Susan Boyle& could listen to her voice Over and over again - and I have.

I didn't follow this British Talent show, and in all honesty Susan Boyle is the only one I have heard prior to this, however after seeing this performance by Diversity it is somewhat hard to believe that this bunch topped her. As a group they look talented and entertaining, but individually are they any good at all? I thought it looked more like a Las Vegas performance act then anything else, not something unique or new. Like or hate Susan, she has a tremendous ability and is very talented.

Trust me...this is win win...Susan Boyle is already an international superstar with a guaranteed career for years to come. it's actually almost good she didn't win to give the dancers something. She's the big winner from this season's entire run. A dance troop isn't really a sellable product...a singer is. It's like in American football where often it's not the quarterback with the best record that gets the heisman trophy but the quarterback that fits the politically correct stats.

I wouldn't say "guaranteed career for years to come" exactly - the public is VERY fickle. Nothing is guaranteed in the entertainment field. Susan could very well be "here today, gone later today".
Bu then again there are many very mediocre entertainers in the industry that people waste their hard earned money to see and listen to.
