My 15 yr old daughter just recently sang this at her cousin's wedding. Lots of smiles & tears. Very proud of her (: check out the video - samantha marie migneault singing "how beautiful"
Not only to Jim Elliot but most for his wife that went to the people that killed her husband, to tell them that Jesus loves them. Because of her testimony, almost the whole tribe were saved.
It is wonderful that Jesus came to live with us, but without His death I would still be in bondage.
Romans 7:15 leads to Romans 7:24, but Paul could speak of only Earthly bonds in Acts 26:29 as he had reached Psalms 51:17 & to go to a works based religion after that would be to disregard the initial data on himself.
Many are as Paul was ignoring the initial data & counting themselve righteous without a just cause or right thinking.
I've seen it in the context of servanthood - the husband and wife representing Christ and His Church. And I've been at a wedding where the couple washes each other's feet while this song is sung. It's a very profound message in that context. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much for this video...Most of all for the glory it gives to our Savior, but also for the tribute it pays to Jim Elliot, Nate Saint, Roger Youderian, Ed McCully, and Pete Fleming. They were faithful men that God used greatly!
I love this video... It is so beautiful!!! I want to love jesus so much but for some reason I can not get motivted to go to church and get saved . I know excuses excuses but I just cant seem to get saved. I guess because I feel so convicted even though he forgives. I need help and I need jesus and I only wish I could get him back in my life but I do not know how
Thanks for the kind remarks. I'd like to say just a couple of things to you: you don't have to go to church to be saved. Jesus hears you wherever you are. Just tell Him, and mean it, and believe Who He is and what He did for you. As for being motivated, if you think you will get to it "someday" it's a fact that we are not guaranteed a tomorrow... I'll be praying for you... Nancy
How beautiful is the body of Christ, prepared by God to bare the sin of the world to set us free from the law of sin and death, and give us the gift of everlasting life through His resurection from the dead.
I think of this song some Sunday mornings as I sit in church, and think of all the churches both great and small, all gathered together......how beautiful is the body of Christ....from a few gathered together in a nursing home, like , my neighbor oversees each week, to the grandest chathedral, we are all belong to that beutiful body of believers....Jesus said: "where , two or more are gathered, there I will be in their midst"..
i just love hearing this song all over again and again this will remind me always of God's great love to all of us good job who ever did this and i thank you so much..God bless us all.. yours in Christ Jesus
I am so glad that I was able to hunt this song down! I heard it so much and love it so much. Praise God for his wonderous grace, even when we are faced with death
Amen, Amen, Amen!!!!! :) Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful video!!

Yes, it is one of the most amazing stories of forgiveness that I have ever heard. Incredible.

Jim Elliot died for them.
His wife lived for them.

Exactly! The Church is the people, not the building they meet in. Praise God for that!
