The sad part is the whole playoffs were based on irony. First you have Garry Bettman joining the NHL Commission in 1993. That was the last year any Canadian team won the Stanley cup. Second is the referees not trying to blame them or anyone but to be honest the Refs made some unnecessary calls. The call on Aaron Rome(pardon me if I am wrong) was a clear penalty but "4 Game Suspension" that was a bad decision and most of our best players were being beat up without the call. Glad that is out.

I'm not a Canucks fan at all, but it's nice to see the team celebrate the Presidents Trophy. Too often a team decides not to celebrate someting because it's not a Stanley Cup win ("only the Presidents Trophy", "only winning the conference", etc.) to avoid some curse.

While not a Canucks fan, I still wish the team and its fans a nice playoffs run.

1982 Canucks make it to the Stanley Cup Final. It's a miracle because they're an awful team. They lose to the Islanders in 4 straight. No surprise.1994 Canucks make it to the Stanley Cup Final. Unbelievable considering they aren't very good. Even more unbelievable that they were that close to winning the Cup in Game 7 which they lost by 1 goal. 2011 Canucks win the Stanley Cup and it's no surprise at all. What else do you expect from the best team in the NHL?

Great accomplishment winning the President's Trophy as the top NHL team. I hope it won't be a hollow victory for them since we all know what the REAL grand prize is if they are successful in making it to the Stanley Cup Finals.
