II saw Jerry Lee, Chuck Berry and Little Richard a few years ago in Sweden-. It was an incredible experience even though the concert was perhaps "not 100%".
But, in the mid 60's the "I lost my chin" for the first time. It was a band called THE ZETTLERS. Listen to their tunes "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah" on Youtube. The recordings are still "up to date". Amazing!!!!
@dazv555 The Beatles. John and Paul wrote it circa 1960. First performed it live in 1962 in Hamburg, Germany. And it was the first track of their first professional album, Please Please Me, released in 1963.
I really think Jerry Lee Lewis is the better of them(in fact, I see Jerry as God lol), but I'm extremely impressed with the energy in Little Richard's voice. Great cover really... better than the original maybe?
i think time wasn´t so nice to little richard.is voice is definitly not great as it was in the 70´s .but Jerry lee lewis is still the killer and his hands are awesome fast for his age
@oldstuff If not for Elvis, none of the rest of us could have made it - Buddy Holly without Elvis, it's doubtful rock would have gained anywhere near the popularity which he gave it, he made it accepted and the rest is history
@ITILII I do like Elvis but his apart from the "controversial" dancing and nice vocals he offers little to Rock and Roll. Chuck Berry created guitar-driven rock and roll and was a superb lyricist, Buddy Holly was a talented singer-songwriter, arranger and producer who left a template for The Beatles to follow whilst Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard gave Rock and Roll some attitude. Each to their own, I suppose....otherwise life would be very boring! :-)
ok soooo the beatles (as a band) dont come into the list until number 8? and with hey jude? i feel like some early beatles tune like "she loves you" needs to be at least top 5.

I can't believe that jerry lee and little richard had so much left in them in 2006, when they were in their 70's already

I don't usually do the thing where I cite the number of dislikes the video has, but here goes:
"One person sucks at listening to music."

Even Elvis knew that "nobody follows The Killer". Jerry Lee, Buddy, Little Richard and Chuck made Rock and Roll.
