as far as a documentary of a man eating his shoe, this film kind of sucks. i wanted to see how much of it he ate, and also find out how his body reacted to the shoe. also, perhaps he could have done more to tenderize and make the leather digestible than just boiling it. i respect him for keeping his word, but he could have done more to make it palatable than what he did.
@rarjungle Yea but it's not about that, it's about encouraging someone to reach for his dreams when he has every reason in the world not to do so. The guy's a respected filmmaker now because of Werner Herzog's incentivizing.
