  • I almost forgot about her voice... and this beautiful song. Having grown up in Florida, I now live in Southern California... and I do miss getting caught in those Dixie storms.

  • this is Joseph Goodwin- Love This!!!

  • Sang this song to myself last night as the thunder shook our house in Atlanta. I have always loved her voice. Beautiful girl, beautiful lyrics, lovely voice.

  • Great job Sherry.

  • This song gives me chills and brings me back to my childhood when the thunder storms would roll into my little town like the wrath of god; shaking the house and lighting up my room at night.

  • Thanks for paying justice to one of the most beatifull songs of my life!

  • @worldmeon - Yeah, it's one of the best written songs...right up there with Sting, U2, and Lennon/ McCartney

Wonder how Maria is doing these days.

I'm a song writer myself...this is, really, good stuff technically...artfully...from any angle.

    great song

  • @novanine9

Sorry but this gentle, lovely, emotional voice is much, much better than ever thing Sting or even U2, apart from War, ever did! But if you are a singer and love this song you must have this feeling! Good luck!

  • @worldmeon - Maria is great, and I could understand your attachment but...putting her ahead of Sting is going too far...yeah, I know...just your opinion.

I'd put Sting ahead of U2 as a songwriter. U2 had a very original sound, captured in WAR, but lost it somewhere after the Unforgettable Fire.

Maria, in all has written 2 good songs that raises her up to their atmosphere - Dixie Storms & Shelter

Go back and read the lyrics to All this Time and/or Synchronicity 2 and you'll see my point -

  • @worldmeon - "And all this time the river flowed Endlessly like a silent tear" " Two priests came round our house tonight One young, one old, to offer prayers for the dying To serve the final rite One to learn, one to teach Which way the cold wind blows Fussing and flapping in priestly black Like a murder of crows " - Sting, All this Time * we songwriters all know what the score is....if you ask Maria, honestly...? SHE WOULD AGREE, HOWEVER HUMBLY....TRUST ME ON THIS
  • This is one of my all time fav songs - you did it Justice with such wonderful photos!
