Best dog in the world, in my opinion! Sweetest demeanor, and usually pretty quiet unless he hears other dogs in the hall. He sleeps a lot, but when it's play time, good luck reading that book or watching that show. My dog with do anything to get my attention. He just wants to be loved and love you back. The dog steps on his own ears when he wakes up (unless they are trimmed). His ears a constantly dirty as he drinks water and drags them across mud and dog shit while on walk. A lot of genetic disease.

Other dogs will play around and he'll be freezing or just crying cuz he's wet, and get tangled into plants (bushes, roses etc) cuz of his ears. We had a sweet natured blenheim, Bobby. He had a massive heart attack and died in my arms a week after we moved to Leeds. We were all absolutely heartbroken, he was only eight years old. I think it was the mitral valve problem that afflicts the breed. RIP Bobs, we love and miss you :)

@ArcticWhiteWolf333 This breed is far from perfect and a vast majority of Cavaliers have a condition where the skull is to small for the brain which causes great pain and seizure's , introducing Springer Spaniel blood lines into this breed is the way to go :)
We have 3. One has epilepsy, the other 2 are healthy. Very loving little dogs! Only 2 of ours are lapdogs, though. The one with epilepsy isn't very cuddly, but does like to be near you all the time.
Rescued a dog a few years ago. I think she is mostly this type. She is bigger so probably mutt. She has a very pretty face like some on this show. We named her "Pixie" because of that look. No idea how old she is but I've noticed some graying on the snout and top of head. Does anyone know about what weight she should be? It is very selfish if you dont do your research on the breed and you dont have a saving for ur dog when he is ill and decided not to save him or do MRI scans because it cost too much to save him and you just let him in pain, but yet you expect love back from him. yes that is selfish but that is not the case with me.

Total & utter tosh, the Cavalier King, they are an active breed Charles Spaniel is descended from the Royal Spaniel & the Blenheim Spaniel-hence the name for one of the colours.
They are not totally lapdogs & are very active little dogs.The colours are Black & Tan, Ruby, Tri Colour & Blenheim & not as stated in the video. They also have Syringomyelia which isn't mentioned at all. King Charles Cavaliers I think not .They were around as the Royal Spaniel & Blenheim spaniel long before the

@kawaii7 No, it means that breeders have a responsibility to institute breeding practices which produce healthier animals. So many breeders just mate any dog to any bitch just so that can have cute puppies and make a quick buck. They don't do any sort of genetic testing, they don't carefully plan breedings to produce the most healthy and tempermentally sound puppies, they don't title their dogs, etc. Most breeders are either ignorant (BYBs) or just plain evil (puppy mills).
Now, that being said, responsible, ethical breeders do exist. But those are too few in number. The majority are irresponsible and many are unethical. And that's a huge problem.

Rescued a dog a few years ago. I think she is mostly this type. She is bigger so probably mutt. She has a very pretty face like some on this show. We named her "Pixie" because of that look. No idea how old she is but I've noticed some graying on the snout and top of head. Does anyone know about what weight she should be? She gets quite a few treats and her stomach looks and feels well packed. Hope this makes sense. Thanks ahead of time!

It is very selfish if you dont do your research on the breed and you dont have a saving for ur dog when he is ill and decided not to save him or do MRI scans because it cost too much to save him and you just let him in pain, but yet you expect love back from him. yes that is selfish but that is not the case with me.

Total & utter tosh, the Cavalier King, they are an active breed Charles Spaniel is descended from the Royal Spaniel & the Blenheim Spaniel-hence the name for one of the colours.
They are not totally lapdogs & are very active little dogs.The colours are Black & Tan, Ruby, Tri Colour & Blenheim & not as stated in the video. They also have Syringomyelia which isn't mentioned at all. King Charles Cavaliers I think not .They were around as the Royal Spaniel & Blenheim spaniel long before the

I have one of these in brown and white. His name is Theodore.
He's now 10 years old. He's got a shorter nose than usual... But that makes him more cute to me. :3
He gets so lonely when he's left alone and he howls when he's lonely. It's so cute how he clings to people. Lol.

@yosoyconsuela LOL i think most ppl know cavaliers have it !i knew about it when i bought my puppy from the breeder 95% has CM and 50% has SM and 60-70% have both :(mine was diagnosed with CM today with MRI scan ! rushed to er after seizure like episode hospitalized, but the pain and high price tag of vet bill is worth the <3 they give back :) i dont regret ~i have a 4 year old chihuahua too and he is also prone to other illness..every breed has illness:) ppl do research before buying ANY dog!

And no, most people don't know about it. Most people are ignorant and buy dogs on impulse with little or no prior research. That is the reason that pet shops and puppy mills stay in business and that there are so many dogs dumped in shelters every year. YOU may have done research beforehand, but you are atypical. Believe me.

@kawaii7 No, it means that breeders have a responsibility to institute breeding practices which produce healthier animals. So many breeders just mate any dog to any bitch just so that can have cute puppies and make a quick buck. They don't do any sort of genetic testing, they don't carefully plan breedings to produce the most healthy and tempermentally sound puppies, they don't title their dogs, etc. Most breeders are either ignorant (BYBs) or just plain evil (puppy mills).

Now, that being said, responsible, ethical breeders do exist. But those are too few in number. The majority are irresponsible and many are unethical. And that's a huge problem.

This is my dog. I want this dog when I grow up. I saw this breed in a book and automatically I wanted to own one. They are so cute, sweet, and calm tempered. They are just my perfect dog.

Wtf?? I have a black puppy with a streak of white on it's chest, i'm pretty sure its a king charles spaniel, it looks exactly the same except it has a non-feathered tail.
