i think its bad if it was suv's ,jeeps 4x4s then would be more practical but mercs, sport coups etc that will get battered after a year on the roads i reckon its a total waste of money and not very practical , i guess they just need to broaden there tastes in cars
Does it raise any eyebrows that Uhuru is purchasing the new vehicles when the repossesion of the old ones is still uncertain! And did you know that that the local dealership of his Volkswagen choice is owned by CMC Motors, a business his family has major stakes in? Expect no more than mere transfer of Govt business to the family business.
Has anybody wondered whats going to happen to the expensive mercs? My geuss is they will be ''auctioned'' ( In inverted comma's yes ) and suprise suprise they will be sold cheap and even more suprising will be that we will see them parked in the private driveways of ministers and their relatives. Who do they think they are fooling. I think in the long run it will be costing the taxpayer far more money.
If a man believes buying 150 new Passats and sell a few Mercedes old bangers to save a couple of billions.......I blame poor mathematics. And who owns CMC? Njonjo, Moi and Kenyatta family. Corruption just like energy cannot be destroyed but can only change from one form to another!
from ksh10 billion typing error to car saga.Money mentioned is in billions and in ukamabani people are dying the VP is busy campaigning.Yani dying Kenyans are of less importance than this car saga? God hepl us after forgiving us for we have sinned and lost sight. This election can we vote totally new guys. One can not put new wine in ols wineskin and let them not be this Kamukunji crook
if the passion these hyenas are showing trying to retain their big shiny mercs is the same passion they show when serving and fighting for the benefits of kenyans then our country would be miles ahead in terms of development. May I also remind those who claim that they use the mercs in rural areas, we are not fool, how many times do we see them flying in with choppers.
Actually something must have gone wrong from Uhuru's eyes: which procedures were followed? How can treasury save 1bn per year yet 15bn just went like that? Is Uhuru again going to seek support of Kibaki over the Passat deal? Where are the previous limousines going to be taken? Can't Uhuru talk with confidence to the public? We tax payers shall never see our taxes back.
come on, the fact that we have those GK mercs off our roads is a good thing. How these hyenas continue being driven around in some of the most expensive cars in a poor country is beyond me. Paasats are cheap and those dont want them can buy their own mercs cos the gava wont.
Nonsense, mheshimiwa. Give up that Mercedes Benz ASAP. First it looks out of place in poverty-ridden Africa and second, use your CDF money to repair those roads in the rural areas, and then step further down and ride around on your bicycle.
K For people who don't pay taxes their preferences on what to drive is irrelevant! Beggars too don't pay taxes and they don't get to choose their meal!
Uhuru should just shove those passats down their throats! Turkana people are starving, Coast El Nino are relentless no homes for over 200! What's the Big Deal here? a Passat! Hopeless!
He should not have bought the stupid vehicles in the first place without consoltation. such arrogance. If he floated the tenders they would be driving tata nano.
In developed countries parliament/congress has to vote for a budget for approval. under the current law the budget is a prerogative of the excecutive. Kibaki vetoed a bill that would have required Mp's to vote and approve a budget. this is what we get without Accountability. eg MOI took govt. funds to build the Eldoret airport, kibaki paid all of Wamalwa's debt using state funds, the late MP's faimilies have their expenses paid thanks to this flawed law. what will stop a president from stealing?
These suckers need to be thrown out the offices so arrogant and my question is if our leaders cannot honor the law how can a common man do it. Should not be given any vehicle having a vehicle shoudl be a requirement for the job and anyway when do they even go to the places they claim they need the vehicles for.
hahahaha we will cross the bridge when we get to it. I remember Iteere and I want to believe you. He has disappeared from the press! He took my advice now I don't know what to do with a few bribe taking cops! Lol
