  • are all the sg wannabe mv like real movies or were they just made for the mv?

  • @kchoi31 just mv

  • wat's the name of the movie or drama plz???

  • @dokdo734 its an mv

  • For those who don't get it, Arirang was a song VERY popular during the Korean War, the soldiers who went remember it... It inspired several American composures (such as Traditions of Korean Folk Song). So it makes sense they use the war as the basis for a song titled Arirang.

  • eng subs please :)

  • Lee Bum Soo!

  • OMG IT'S THE GUY FROM PASTA :D

  • this Wannabe song is such a masterpiece. i just love it . the video is very long but i watch it for the song. i love jinho, his voice, wow

  • I don't understand, is this a Wannabe music video of a war movie? And if so, what is the name of the movie please? Or is it a long music video made like a movie?

  • this is the only movie that made me cry.

  • this was seriously one of the most touching and best movie i've seriously ever seen.

  • wait i was wrong it is about north and south korea i am sorry my korean brothers

  • this MV is KoreaWar 1950 .

    S.Korea and N.Korea., not Japan.

    Japan is not a relationship...

  • Is this MV a war between North Korea and south korea or South korea and Japan?? just asking dont bash me because iam asking this but it looks like North and South though as they were friends

  • north korean vs south korea

  • dude i love the song but

    BULL FUCKING SHIT!

everyone lost ammo at the sametime lolz

  • Way too many well known sound effects from Band of Brothers and Tae Guk Gi. Atleast I recognized every one.

  • I really agree, I remember from Band of Brothers, Blithe was making those noises at the beginning of the video from 1:16-1:23. When he was sitting by himself in the foxhole and Major Winters tells him to get up and shoot.

  • man if only this was subbed

  • i hope too ^_^ coz i want to know what happened ^^

  • I can understand why the koreans hate japanese, duh, cuz im korean, but why do the Japanese hate the Koreans??

what did the koreans do to the japanese to make them hate us??

  • simply the koreans did nothing.............its the japanese and there horrorfest during the "stay" in korea that makes us hate them.......you can find a lot of pictures online of koreans and chinese being tortured for example a live autopsy of a human being performed by japanese so there u go.....breif one paragrph history on why koreans hate japanese so much but its changing now in the newer generations...there are actually japanese and korean families......so its chaging

  • I think the Japanese look down on the Koreans. Japan has a long history of terrible racism. Today Koreans living in Japan can become quite successful, but are still looked down upon in many ways.

Face it, Japanese culture is intensely racist. Look at how they look down on Japanese descendents who have come back to Japan from Brazil, Peru, etc.

  • Sheesh,

Japan should just accept the fact that other countries can be as good as them,

I agree with you on the japanese culture rascism thing.

  • @SasukeSakura1031

let all just get along shall we? not just as Asian but as a human being. Hate only cause more hate which led to war in the end.

  • where can u download a good quality of this music video? i looked on 4shared but they didnt have any... :( i wanna put it on my ipod.

  • in the beginning they added a lot of war sound effects from other movies like band of brothers, etc.. haha

  • @airsoftcrazed how do you know they got it from that?

  • @UriYeS because ive seen the movie so many times, i remember all the sound effects and everything. lol hahaha :)

  • @airsoftcrazed oh haha i see,

cuz it sounded like something i've heard before, too, but i didn't know that movie, lool

  • 북한동지가 서울말쓰니까 이상하다..

  • Awesome actor wif a awesome vocal grp = awesome mv

  • love cant be bought except those gay golddigerresrs

  • taegukki

  • this is a really good mv as it raises awareness about the korean war.

on top of that, you can't beat these vocals.

  • Isn't this North Korea fighting South Korea by the way?

  • LAWLx

  • Comment removed

  • haha the guy from coffee prince!

  • 지랄한다..병신

  • they all have long hair. lol

  • its funny...if you carefully hear the sound effects they used band of brothers and taegukgi

  • the slow mo part is real obvious

  • Is this a movie or drama? What's the title?

  • this is only a MV by sg wannabe..not a movie nor drama...

  • i love korea

    i love SG Wannabe

  • They Made Him Look Soooo Much Younger In This Video, He's 38.(L.B.S.)

  • wasnt the main character who gets the rice ball in the begining in city of violence?

  • The ones who act in SG Wannabe's MV's are there in place of the singers because SG Wanabe doesn't want themselves be popular for their looks, rather their music and singing.

  • when was this aired?

and is it only about the war?

    are there any english subtitles?

and where can I download it?

  • why do you care shuju.

it doesn't matter what their music videos look like or what THEY look like..

    O_O

  • huh?? you're obviously misunderstanding my question..? didn't you READ what I just said? I just said i don't care what they look like. I'm asking why they use big stars when they said themselves and they say all the time, that they dont personally appear in their music vids so that people will just LISTEN to the music and not LOOK at the people in the vid.

  • they choose stars to ATTRACT people to listen to their songs. its their own way to spread their music around

they arent using the stars to help people like their music

  • you idiot. ur making a music video and spending multi million dollars and ur gonno use no name, less attractive people? it's not hypocrisy it's just being sane

  • ur an idiot. u dont HAVE to make a multi-million dollar music vid to be successful, i could name heaps of examples. first one that comes to mind is utada hikaru (or something like that lol) where she just had a blank backdrop, herself in 3 outfits, and like 4 props.

  • You think because of the simplicity of Utada or whoever's mv that she didn't spend a significant sum of money to create/disseminate her music vid? Get better evidence before you make a fool of yourself.

  • lol. i wouldn't say something like that if there wasn't "evidence"...? i wuldnt just guess or make something up.. it's actually very well-known that their budget was tiiiiiiiny. but anyway, this has not much to do with SG so we'll leave it at that.

  • Well, FYI, the girl in the MV is the one who collaborated on the second song. And I don't think SG actually has that much say in making MVs. But to answer your question, the actors in this video aren't exactly 'big stars'. Apart from the girl, the two actors are generally acknowledged for their acting skills, and I expect that's what was important since it is an emotionally intense MV. Likewise for their other MVs too, actually.

  • theyr HUGE stars??? maybe ur biased cuz ur not a fan but bum ajussi is and was huge... and the coffee prince guy is reaaaaaaally famous, not only from coffee prince but of course white tower?? ok ju hyun is a mega star too?? sure theyr not.. kang dong won or jun ji hyun, but for an MV its pretty huge.

also, i reckon SG would totaly have a say, at least SOME say in their MVs, unlike idol groups or shin-in groups.

bong tae gyu has been in an SG MV as well ages ago

  • But you have to acknowledge, they're better-known for acting skills than their looks, and IMO that was the primary concern when casting for the MV.

  • I'm also guessing that the 'coffee prince guy' (Sun-gyun Lee) filmed the MV during or before 'White Tower', and really before that he wasn't a household name at all. Beom-soo Lee isn't exactly HUGE, he's a well-respected actor but to be honest before the Bongdalhee drama he'd only had a handful of successes.

  • yea i agree with all that, like they're more respected actors than entertainers known for their looks like YEH or whatevr... but still...

i didnt realise this MV was so old, so i assumed it was after white tower actually.. but it says vid added 9 months ago.. so yea i guess it wasnt after white tower.. but he was still known before white tower, not well-known tho

  • While people would have been impressed with the casting, the actors don't have the magnetic power of (as you said) Jeon Ji-hyun or Kang Dong-won. You also have to take into consideration that the song is quite emotionally charged on a political and national level. It's titled 'Arirang' and the MV is (appropriately) about the most traumatic event in Korean history. SG aren't just putting their song out there, they're trying to make a statement.

  • Vietnam war was less intense.

  • OMG Lee Seon Kyun. I love listening to his voice. Ever seen him in Loveholic? He's my fav in every movie he stars in!

  • lol this song is so unsuited for this mv

  • OMG IT'S CHOI HAN SUK!!! wow. love the cast!

  • are sg wannabe and lee bum soo good friends or something? he's in this and their precious history mv series thing

  • korean MV make me confuse.because the singer not show

    up.

  • SG Wannabe is the best singer in korea! This song MV is so good.

  • this mv isnt tae guk ki....brotherhood have won bin in it adn the guy in all about eve...

i heard arirang is about the war...not really sure...its about familes leaving and choosing sides and how family have been splited up.....well i we can all agree this song is super sad

  • wow.. everytime i watch a SG Wannabe MV, i can garauntee myself a story =]

  • that looks like umh tae woong. i think it is... ; P

  • I LUV THIS SONG!!! But it makes me so sad. I got 2 meet them when they were singing this song @ Inkigayo and they won 2!! They are really GOOD singers and they're so nice 2!!

  • this is very emotional... although korea is now divided into the north and south regions of the nation, people living on both sides still want to aim for unity. a lot of families were divided, and its sad to think that people were fighting against their own countrymen, or "brothers". major major part of korean history...

  • arirang is about a young girl who lost her purity (she got raped) and so she haunts this village for eternity searching for her love.

at least that's how I was taught. the song can have different meanings I heard.

  • For sure, Arirang is a sad song and there're different explanations about the song, but this song definitely has no relation with a raped girl. Where on earth did you even hear about this girl 'haunting' the village? From Whomever you were taught, you got it totally wrong, Sakura.

  • It's one version of the legends. Look it up- I learned it from Korean school so I'm assuming it's somewhat correct. Although it does sound like B.S, I admit.

  • Japanese cunt. Everything you learn in your country is all BULLSHIT. Japan tried invading Korea cus you are a greedy bastards, and you failed because you are pathetic! Now you teach all your children that Dook-Doo is yours. You cunts. Japanese bitch.

  • What's done is done. The past HAS past and will remain in the past. The Japanese people these days are NOT the same people that invaded Korea. Much has changed in the world. It's the people like you, who keep using the past to justify your hate as a excuse, who stop the world from becoming a better place for all races.

  • Best said!

Yes what they did was wrong, but hey at least you didn't end up like us *Native American*

  • Who brought out the Japanese and Koreans anyway?

  • japanese people these days are also same. they are still didn't agreed with past history what they did to korea and they want to cut off relations with korea and think koreans are dirty. they controlled by japanese educations but they think korea saying lie.

  • @fortstreet

Speaking of all races, I had a dream that we had a World Cup in which everyone was one race. That being said, People were divided by region, not countries or color.

One of the better dreams I have dreamt.

  • @fortstreet I think to become a perfect species...there should be so much interracial breeding for so long that in the end, everyone just becomes like this medium color. O_O wouldn't that be great? That way, no one can hate based on race...

  • @fortstreet

true, then why, does the japanese government deny its evil doings such as comfort women, torture, and smuggling of korean artifacts

  • Arirang was a korean princess or something from a legend

  • yeah.. that movie was sooooooo freaking good. and plus won bin too! whooo! what a great actor :D

  • wow .. i so don't get it. hahahah.. maybe i should continue into the second part...

the beginning reminded me of taegukgi...

  • taegukgi makes me cry :'(

  • this isnt about japan ruleing over korea its about the korean war (north korea and south korea)

  • is it just me or does she look fat here.

  • arirang.... its a traditional song right? i heard this korean guy taught his white friend how to sing it and his white friend went to visit Seoul when he was older and sang that song to this old korean guy and the old guy started sobbing...'cause it had so much impact or whatever. So this song reminded me of that story. ^^ I love this song and how traditional it sounded. the comeback pf was awesome too.

  • Arirang is a love song that was sung in Korea

  • thank u 4 uploading i was tring to find this mv..

  • does anyone know what "ariang" stands for? i wish to know..

  • @cutekitty it means "beautful dear"
