Hi, FYI - Both FC-812 (Game Axe first edition) and FC-816 (Super Game Axe with a 4" TFT) also exists but sadly discontinued.. the common version is the FC-868 I personally prefer the original FC-812 cuz the LCD screen is much smaller like the Sega Game Gear. ;)
Well its quite easy, first its the color of the LED is not green, and if there is a border around the LCD screen (FC-812 only)? Both FC-816 and FC-868 are quite similar with a big 3.8" screen.. If you like I have found some manuals and pictures scans of the previous editions so perhaps you or me could make a video about it.. I think this unique gizmo deserves a place in history ;)
