I'm actually a big fan of Fable (I've only played Fable: The Lost Chapters for PC). I'm thinking about getting Fable II and now I will since someone like you enjoys it as well. Are you excited about Fable III? It's suppose to be coming out soon.

A tip for you Scott, try Sid Meyer civilisation 5, a really good strategy pc games that largely plays like a boardgame.

I have been buying train games recently and I'm really starting to like them a lot.. 18XX is awesome I own both 1856 and 1870. I also bought railroad tycoon, Chicago express, Age of Steam and Empire Builder. I also have Steam on preorder.

Well, the story was over-wrought with angst, which is not why I play these games. The targeting system for hand to hand combat was the same system I've had problems with in every GTA game since they went 3D. Saint's Row 2 was more fun, more about doing whatever, and was easier to control.

Through the Ages is an excellent game. If you have the oppertunity to buy it - DO IT!

Hehe, I bought it at Essen the first year it was out. I played it...and then sold it for a lot of money.

I didn't enjoy it because of how much the game state changed before your turn came around. So, you could plan out your turn, but given how quickly the cards went away, many times, you really couldn't plan until your turn started. This causes downtime. So, it didn't do it for me.

I know what you mean, but I see it more as an Advantage than a disadvantage. Well it's all about improvising and creating a strategy with the given cards.

Of course, for a 18xx-Games-Player, Through the Ages has got to much randomness.

Well, if the problem he had with WoW before this season was the slow leveling then recommending War to him probably isn't the best thing. War starts off great with excellent pacing, but then abruptly becomes an incredible grind in the 20s.
