  • That blonde woman is full of shit the rest of the people sound genuine

  • Katy Couric really sucks

  • Dear Francesco Schettino, the cowardly cruise liner captain who abandoned ship before his passengers and crew were evacuated, please take a page out of this man's book. THIS is a real man, a true captain that deserves the title bestowed on him.

  • Comment removed

  • Katie Couric makes a mockery of any situation she's tasked with reporting on. Just by being. Ugh.

  • I am a retired pilot with the Old Western Airlines............I would work with that flight crew anyday.

  • This is tear jerking stuff! If only the world consisted of more awesome, brave, unselfish & caring people like these ~ & of course, especially the Captain. WOW! They're ALL to be highly commended & both remembered and prayed for often. :)

BRAVO TO EVERY PASSENGER AS WELL OF COURSE! It sure sounds as though they were the perfect passengers to handle any crisis. Each probably had an angel from 911 by their side whispering guidance & comforting words to them, before ensuring ALL of their safety.

  • God this journalist is probing and deep. Bring back real talented journalists please, stop it with these fuggin pretty talking heads thanks.

  • Huzzah for the Hudson Hero

  • I wonder which flight attendant has talked to an ambulance chasing lawyer?

  • Five members of Fred Phelp's cult of inbreeds have watched this vid. How sad they must have been when 155 people lived!!

  • That, lady Dorine needs too stop she just wants a insurance claim instead appreciating life n her saving pilot, i mean come on lady,!

  • This man deserves special commendations for his life saving actions. I have the full most respect for this gentleman. The man is a true hero, a very very wonderful person. God Bless Him.

  • Congrats Sully! One in a million.

  • Such a humble man. He deserves all good that comes to him

  • Crash landed that bitch like a boss

  • the women at the back deserved to die...how ungrateful can she be?complaining about a gash in her leg and how horrific the landing was...she should be happy it didnt crash...thank the pilot not complain..idiot.

  • @TheMrMuzzle Dude, the gash in her leg tore through the muscle. That's a deep damn cut, and there are a lot of important blood vessels in your legs. You could very easily die from blood loss and potentially never use the leg again, and don't forget, she had to deal with passengers who opened her door and caused water to rush in, which could have drowned people or caused hypothermia. Quit acting like she broke a nail and bitched about it, just because she lived doesn't mean it was smooth.

  • @Vidszhite she should be grateful as had it been any other pilot she wouldnt be sitting there on that chair thats my point..

  • @TheMrMuzzle What makes you think she isn't grateful? She never said anything bad about the captain or the job he did, she just told a story that nobody else probably knew about. Is it being ungrateful to tell people it wasn't all rainbows and posies in some parts of the plane?

  • @Vidszhite oh for fuk sake....wether it wasnt rosie etc. the fact is she lived....the plane would have crashed had it been any other pilot (most likely)...what she is doing now is ungrateful....yes she may have been traumatized but it could have been much much worse...the plane lost both engines hence complaining about things that happened after landing is just straight out bitchy and plain stupid...

  • @TheMrMuzzle "I lived, therefore if I say it was scary because it was, and I almost drowned in the aftermath, I must be ungrateful." Honestly, dude, she didn't even know that she was going to live. The plane was sinking because of what some other dumbass did--talking about that isn't ungrateful. Have you ever been in a plane that almost crashed? Because if you weren't you can go ahead and shut your mouth. Even if you live and you're thankful for it, you're still going to be scarred for life.

  • @Vidszhite u dont get the point...is she gran btw??Ur so emotionally upset about it...listen to the interview again...shes so bitchy about it..if you want to tell ur story fine say it but theres a way of saying it..

  • @TheMrMuzzle Listen to who she's complaining about: not the captain, but the dumbasses who weren't listening and making life hell for her. When you're having a near death experience and a bunch of idiots are trying to get naturally selected, maybe taking you with them, you have a right to get frustrated.

  • @TheMrMuzzle Seriously, your saying she "DESERVED" to die!! The woman was obviously traumitized by the whole event. Also, the wonderful result of this accident is no one died, everyone got out alive, but that doesn't mean people won't suffer mentally because of it. Its pretty damn cold blood to say someone deserved to die, especially in this situation.

  • cool

  • Anyone else think the woman at the back was blagging it.

  • I wonder if they ever identified the fucktard passenger who opened the back door and let the water in.

  • just one word.......SALUTE

  • flight attendants need to do their job and not make it so emotional..flight crew maybe see the birds next time and not have your heads down..

  • And what did you sa "Your welcome."

  • The stewardess who was in the back is just a big pussy. Rumor is she injured herself on purpose.

  • @ratliff2006 I could imagine, that. Blag the injuries for the compensation.

  • the interviewer is so fucking annoying argg!!!

  • yeah a real professional pilot.. .if only all were like this

  • The woman from the back is annoying.

  • Right man at the wrong situation equals live saving outcome. Salute for the pilot!!! Nice landing (ditching) capt! :)

  • this guys the fucking man

  • Thank God it was him with a level-head flying that plane rather than the flight attendants. Obviously, not just because he has been trained to fly, but because he was cool, calm and collect.

  • Shouldn't he be promoted to Admiral.....?

  • @xSTEVENGERRARDx she's still an interviewer bc she's hot but yea of course he saw the ppl.

    GERRARD SUCKS

    GO MACHEDA

  • I am a pilot for United and our training program and theirs are the same. The FAA requires it. He lost both engines. That airplane became a glider. Capt. Sulllenger did everything perfect. An Ethiopian airline tried the same thing and everyone died. This person here has no clue what he is talking about.

  • @nytnt4u Obviously your not a pilot because the Ethiopian hijack passengers survived

  • ok the interviewer is ........what ever , annoying is the least

  • "I was telling the people on the deck of the boats to rescue the people on the wings first"

Dumb ass reporter: "Did you see those people standing on that wing"

Of course he fucking did, who the fuck is this woman and why is she on tv?

  • @rodthepimp. Your aeronautical knowledge is equivalent to that of a middle schoolers'. I'm pretty sure that the copilot didn't mess up the auto thrust when trying to restart the engines. Do us a favor and lay off the pot, your way too paranoid. Plus, much to the dissatisfaction of many, the FAA is quick to announce when the cause is due to pilot error. Usually I wouldn't respond to this idiotic comment, but this is too much

  • That captain and the crew are bad asses

  • i wish the lady that dident wear her uniform would just go home and cut her self....everyone is taking care of bussines and she just sat there and cried if i had my guess...........she says it was a different story in the back....yea bitch i bet it was way worse in the front...quit your crying and retire already!!!!!!!!!

  • @shaun17304 please take your negative comments elsewhere. the back of the plane hit first which meant at the speed they were going there would be a severe impact there. i'm sorry that you misunderstand that.

  • @cheerdynamics23 It actually would have been about the same on the landing, front or back. Yes the back hit first, but the front absorbed the majority of the speed. She was probably in the back with shit that wasn't strapped/locked down.

  • @Dremerend i know somebody who was on the flight in the front of the plane so i know what i'm talking about. but let's not make this a big deal and just be happy that everyone survived. =)

  • It's all Obama's fault. The birds are democrats trying to ruin the airlines (lol)

Seriously, This was an amazing outcome thanks to very competent and wonderful people.

  • He is one true hero that was so cool he is a gangster!!!

  • Comment removed

  • HERO!

  • "I just scratched an airplane".

  • @alpha18412 lol no but close he said "i just CRASHED an airplane" sounded very similar but he definatly said crashed

  • 1997 i was flying from eygept to greece to canada i slept all the time and i woke three minuits before the landing i was looking through the window and seemed the plane waiting for run way to empty any ways when the plane landed i heard all passenger was cheering and clapping i think it was some thing wrong with plane nd i didnt know it due to my poor english

  • I also admire Sully for being humble about his heroism and not arrogant about it. I prefer modesty rather than boastfulness.

  • "Thank you seems totally inadequate

I have a debt of gratitude I fear I may never be able to repay..".. So touching!!..

  • Great Job all of you. Cutos a.k.a (Congradgulations) :)

  • well done you all the crew of US airways, all those saved souls owe their lives to you.. i salute you whole heartily...

  • this is the reason I always feel so comfortable when I fly with serious US and British airlines that take safety issues seriously and have experienced and graciously aged crew.

i was travelling aboard an indian airliner last year and their air hostesses all looked like 19 year old tarts picked out of modelling catalogues.. we were telling each other, in cases of emergencies, they probably would be the first one to pass out....!

  • I love Him

  • Dumb fuck!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ....what'd i do?

  • Hahaha the 'decency' Jeez dude - never been in a crash landing? Thank fuck I haven't - but the last thing I'd be thinking about it whipping out my yuppie iPhone and recording it for posterity LOL - You're either a would be journalist or a weekend warrior - either way, get over yourself girlfriend, and give the people that save your lives the credit they deserve - hey just because you're a keyboard jockey or a pizza delivery boy doesn't mean you're inadequate - everybody got a job to do :-)

  • Oh shit this plane is gonna crash and usually everyone dies, also all stuff gets shred to shit except the black box... I AM GONNA MAKE A VIDEO ZOMGZ IM GONNA BE A UTUBE STAR LOL!

  • a lot of us americans in that situation would be like OMg IM GuNNaz Di3!!1

    I GOTTA PRAY TO g0D!

but first, let me twitter this.

"omfg gonna die in plane crash lol like, bye mom& dad"

  • God bless those crewmembers. If I was there, I would have shit bricks.

  • @SecretService80 you mean shat bricks

  • @SPARTANB064 lol, yes.

  • @SecretService80 that adds to the load

  • They kept their heads and performed above and beyond the parameters of normal airliner crew performance. True heroes

  • Thank God for saving all these people!

The pilots and flight attendant were really heroes! God Bless all of them!

  • I can tell that the lady with the blonde hair is still traumatized by the crash, Its amazing that they are all alive..

  • I truly hope that the president gives this man the medal of honor or something! Sully is a Hero!

  • @littlecutie12345678 the medal of honor is only for war-fighters.

  • I think that this story lives on because it not only had a very happy ending, as opposed to the potential for death and disaster, but also because it brings out the best in people.

This saga brought out the best in everyone who was involved. The flight crew, the air traffic controllers, first responders and boat captains, as well as the passengers who cooperated so splendidly with the flight crew and rescue crews, are all deserving of recognition and admiration.

  • his voice is amazing ....

    Captain Sullenberger: "you are welcome:-|"

  • I think that Doreen might benefit from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy; other crew members might benefit as well. EMDR is an excellent tool for coping with PTSD.

These people are all heroes, but let us not forget the Port Authority 1st Responders, ferry boat pilots & personnel, air traffic controllers, and medical personnel who have given new meaning to the word "excellence".

  • I know, I know, you obviously have a fixation upon certain body orifices. How many screen names do you operate under, Kiss/CornHole?? Get some help!

Now, let's get back on topic.

  • AAAh! Our intellectually superior troll speaks from high atop his YouTube Throne.

Now, let's get back on topic.

  • Comment removed

  • I know that there has been talk of making a movie based upon Cactus1549 and it's crew.

Leaves me to wonder who could really carry the role of captain Sullenberger. Clearly, he is a man of considerable intellect and talent. The problem is that he is as calm and unassuming as he is intelligent and talented. I'm not sure what actor could play the essence of the hero, while also carrying the low keyed essence of the man. Any thoughts??

  • You clearly reflect the ignorance of a "wan-a-be," an individual that lets their frustrations manifest due to the inability of achievement!

You tried to "mask" it with your psuedo-intellect, however, your perceptability on this situation revealed who you really are!

  • 100 Years of experience?

  • Between them genius... Its an average of 20 years per person...

  • Ah!

  • I can't blame the FAs for being confused, but how could have they thought they were on land?

  • Wow, great introspective 1st year flight student. Oh wow, this guy knows what F/O means, and "situational awareness." He must be some sort of rainman on this subject... I am guessing you fly planes. If I am right, that is probably why pilots get paid as little as they do today...

  • TEAM WORK...po58dvn

  • It would be "heros," plural, if you actually meant it grammar scholar. Next time you fly commercial, and crash into water, and walk away, TELL ME you wouldn't give the flight attendants a hug next time you saw them... (he's just another "pompous Pilot")

  • the USA pulling together to save lives.....from the crew to boats in the hudson.......sometimes the USA shines......god bless all who helped and godbless America.

  • awesome

  • I should say, the entire crew are heros. They kept their people safe.

  • This guy is a hero. A very modest hero. His actions saved a lot of lives.

  • what were thay throw ing on 7.28

  • genuis .......best landing ever

  • Yep, one of a kind - absolutely brilliant Captain.

  • A landing in water...fantastic....i don't think it's ever been done before.....not easy

  • 100 years ???????

  • in total., so like, 25 years each.

  • love it how his wife calls him Sully! lol

  • Hero. Whatever??

If you had of been on that plane which would you prefer: the pilot to follow procedures, or for him to use his head and get the plane landed safely.

Use your head kissthecornhole. Have u ever saved 155 people????

  • Ya, every time I go to work.

  • Being the "expert" you claim to be, you are well aware that Capt. Sully was ultimately responsible for handling the emergency. He had to make a judgment call, and his performance was laudable. His actions and decisions have been carefully scrutinized, he's probably his own most severe critic, and his performance, as well as his crew's performance, was nothing short of outstanding. So, you've been in the airline industry for 15 years?? Your experience pales in comparison to Cat. Sully's.

  • 13 thousand hours of experience in operations around the world. How would you know if my "experience pales in comparison to Cat. Sully's". Your assumptions about people are foolish.

  • Sounds a bit like sour grapes, Kiss/Corn!!

Captain Sullenberger is an Air Force Academy grad, with over 40 years of flying experience, over 27,000 hours, (over twice as many hours as you claim to have!!) and he's served as an accident investigator for both NTSB and USAF. Compared to Capt. Sully, you're still a lightweight.

Stick to your FSX toy, and enjoy your fantasies of living as a legend in your own mind. We're not impressed by your grandstand quarterbacking.

  • Just reviewing your profile and by the looks of things you thoroughly enjoy arguing and trying to cut people down to your level. Guess that's how the term "religious nut" was born. Tell me, does it get lonely sitting up their on your throne maid of Bibles. Amazing how religion gives people the ability to assume and judge so harshly what they don't know. Guess that's why folks need that crutch in their lives.

  • Kiss/Corn;

You've only succeeded in making yourself look even more foolish. Facts fail you, your attempts to fault Capt. Sullenberger have failed, your claims of experience reveal that you have less than half his level of experience, so now you are reduced to sidestepping, engaging in personal attacks, and drag religion into the foray.

  • "My throne made of Bibles, Kiss/Corn???

Guess what?? I'm not a Christian. I view the Bible as being a tome which is mostly comprised of religious fiction. I belong to no organized religion. I view organized religions as a major cause of problems, not the solutions to them. You've only made a bigger fool of yourself.

Now, let's get back on topic. I certainly hope your piloting skills exceed your "powers of discernment" about my religious beliefs!! Somehow, I seriously doubt that they do!!

  • Is this what it looks like when someone is crying into his computer? Your head is so far up your own ass I can't possibly have a rational debate with the likes of you.

  • Now, Kiss/Corn, if you are through with your little narcissistic cyber-tantrum, perhaps we can get this thread back on topic. Any rationale person can see that you are not fit to carry Captain Sullenberger's flight back.... much less serve as his critic.

"And now we return to our regularly scheduled programming."

  • Oh ya, pull your head out of your ass for one more thing, Mr Sullenberger has 19500hrs of flying time, not your claimed 27000hrs. Do the math moron. Your 27000hrs in 40yrs means he would need to fly 675hrs per year. Not possible if he spent time in the military and doing all those administration duties. You claim to be one of fact and assumptions. Nice try though. You should spend less time masturbating and more time actually understanding the facts and living life.

  • Nice little cyber-tantrum you have going there, KissCorn!!

For someone with the piloting experience and expertise you claim to have, you exhibit magnificent grace under fire..... NOT!!

Now, go get yourself some milk and cookies, take a little "time out" and calm down. Your FSX toy awaits you. Enjoy your little fantasies!!

  • You should really consider moving out of your moms basement .

  • Not exactly a creative reply, Kiss/Corn. Now. let's get back on topic.

  • A true Pro! Jobs don then worry, nice one CAPTAIN, a man worthy of the title!!

  • I'm sure most people who have read your comment understand now that this is procedure, as I do, a pilot in training...However...Just because someone is following procedure, it never ensures they have the ability, skill and cool-head, to get the aircraft down safely, then be the very last man off that aircraft, even as it's sinking slowly, to go back in there, and check for passengers.. That is what makes him a 'hero'. There have been others not so fortunate, who also followed 'procedure'

  • All do respect jlebesis, been in the airline industry for 15yrs and was quite shocked at the lack of reporting on the CREW performance. Everyone focused on the performance of ONE. The F/O has years of experience in the industry and procedure should have been followed. EMERGENCY CAPTAIN GRABS CONTROL???? NOT.

  • KissMyCornhole Wrote:

    "EMERGENCY CAPTAIN GRABS CONTROL???? NOT."

I just love arm chair pilots!! A few landings with their FSX toys, and suddenly, they become experts.

  • You read my post but did you understand it. It says that I have been in the Airline industry for 15yrs. And NO I do not have an FSX toy.

  • Despite your exceptional performance as a baggage handler for the last 15 years, I believe the result of Capt. Sullenberger's actions speaks for itself.

  • Strijderss;

You are apparently unaware that "Dickinhishole" and "Kiss/Corn" loaded the luggage onto Cactus1549. Fortunately for the passengers of Cactus1549, their luggage arrived safely in Tuscon, Az.......... four days later!!

  • This guy should be the next president of the United States. One of a kind..

  • A modest hero

  • @supreme21 he's modest because he's full of shit. he fucked up and he knows that that's the ONLY reason why they landed in the Hudson. This guy has been banished from the airline industry. just look it up for yourselves!

  • @rodthepimp You're not good at trolling. Everything you just said is not only false, it's easily verifiable and common sense also screams that you're full of crap. I give you a 1/10 on this attempt.

  • @fatsomamacheese not everything you see is real. huge cover up. But I don't care if you believe me or not. People are sheep and you've proved that.

  • @rodthepimp I'm a sheep because I went to verify what you said and found it you're completely wrong? You're either a liar or a very stupid person. Pick one.

  • ass hole

  • Comment removed

  • @rodthepimp A bad pilot? Could you have done it better? No, so keep your mouth shut..

  • Comment removed

  • @rodthepimp Wow, you are a dumb fucker. You are dissing Captain Sully for this? Are you shitting me? About the best pilot anyone could ask for, made all the right decisions and did them FLAWLESSLY. And you are saying that he fucked up? You know what, go fuck yourself. Sully has forgotten more about piloting than you will ever know.

  • Comment removed

  • @ptschafer Ignore the little pimp. He's just a jealous troll.

  • @rodthepimp The FAA actually deemed it an unacceptable risk for him to have attempted to return to La Guardia. It was determined to be about a 10-20% chance of success, and the FAA said he did exactly what he should have done. So wherever you got your info from, it does not agree with the FAA's findings. BTW, conspiracy websites are not news sites and are not reliable sources of information.

  • @Dremerend is wikileaks a conspiracy too? Not everything you see is real. Smoke and mirrors everywhere. The reason he 'couln't' make it back to La Guardia is because he had the auto thrust on the wrong setting. The engines were capable of creating enough thrust. He just messed up royally. Of course they turn him into a hero. It's good for business! The last thing people need to know is that this was one of US Aviation's biggest cover up.

  • dump ass........shut ur ass...

  • @rodthepimp ur a real piece of shit rod stop talking shit you dont know about

  • This interviewer is RETARDED it's hard to watch this video... it's like shes talking to children or retards fire her .... PLEASE

  • they're all great

  • I hope next time I get on a plane my pilot is just like this man.

  • amazing

  • idiot...

  • choke yourself the chokeing game

  • I though you could give me more intelligent responses

  • it was rather intelligent

  • agreed with you,,, stupid comment...from an american...

  • amazing

  • NO! the birds did not "hit the engines" the engines ingested the birds.

  • is just a well trained pilot, is not god, stupid...

  • Ignorant remark! form an ignorant person.

  • Sammy, you are american right? now I understand your comment, idiot answer from an american idiot...I imagine in stadiums, Pilot for President, , jajaja, tipical american pride....

  • It's not just American pride..it's celebrating the aversion of over 100 possible deaths. This man did actually save lives, because of his quick thinking and exprience, he is somebody people can look up to. And FYI, I'm not American.

  • I studied for years to do my job in my work, I have saved a lot of money for my company, and nobody is promoting me for president, why???? because is my job, is my obligation, I studied and I was training for years, mmm probably you are not from USA, probably you are from California...

  • Well then I say congratulations to you. The reason he is celebrated is because what he did has never, in the history of commercial aviation, been done so successfully. Furthermore, the Captain does not want all the recognition he is getting, he also said that he was just doing his job. I'm sure you would have quite a different opinion of this had you been a passenger on the plane. Finally, wow, read a map, California is in the USA, and I'm not from California.

  • Dont call Americans idiots. Sheesh. Have some manners will you? And I'm not an American. Its not very nice to say stuff like that when you should probably go look in the mirror yourself.
