  • shivers

  • Ok it was amazing till he started talking like smeagol.

  • BET THEY CAN FILL OUT STADIUMS AROUNG THE WORLD OR HEADLINE ANY FESTIVAL AROUND THE GLOBE THE TRUTH IS. THESE GUYS ARE LEGENDS PERIOD !

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • These guys make a life with hearing worth living

  • This is music.

  • saw them live in Germany, two days ago. still fucking genius, although Blixa was a bit pissed because of some idiots always shouting "hey" during the quiet parts in some songs.

  • @falco51 That's the problem with live music: Assholes Almost Always Show Up

  • the 14 that dislike this DON'T KNOW MUSIK!

  • So fucking awesome! The innovation is astounding.

  • @shueln 1993

  • This piece uses octaves in a really interesting way. BTW, the upcoming Neubauten tour will have a KARAOKE ROOM! Details at neubauten(dot)org

  • *than

  • I'm moderately conservative politically, and even I'd rather listen to stuff like this fucking Toby Queef

  • Awesome

  • Uber redonkulaas and frigging great when in the zone

  • Awesome!

  • HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEADCLEEEEEEEEANEEEEEEEEEEER!!!

  • If the republicans win next week we'll have to give up listening to this music and be forced to listen to toby keith.

  • This is visually stunning... and a reason to 'pray' that live music will never die!

  • eine der letzten Urgewalten.

  • Thank God there is real music.

  • I remember reading about them in the European music press in the eighties and they seemed so cool, co utterly ahead of their time that I could barely hear them. The world is really only catching up now. Wonderful!

  • niente male!!!!! promossi dottor rock

  • love <3

  • BLIXA BLIXA

  • his voice at the end is fucking unique

  • the best line up

  • These guy are so original the're fuckin legends! Its a shame they don't get as much credit and recognition as they deserve esp. in America where most music that represents art, creativity, and talent in a honest and aggresive way isn't praise but ignored and somewhat ostracize.

  • fucking beautiful

  • It's great. the instruments live, they walk around. it makes me feel very much alive to listen to this. the live character of einstürzende neubauten is awesome.

  • I can see why none of my friends will listen to the music that I like, for once I am the outsider. I love EN, but it is so different from much of what is available, anywhere! I listen to Tom Waits, and that is weird to everyone I know. Imagine the first time I play this for one of my friends.

  • @PotatoManTada

I cant stand anything in this genre except for these guys. This album (Tabula Rasa) is their most listenable (for the uninitiated) The message is deep. You might be surprised who "gets it" among your friends.

  • This is SERIOUS creativity! It makes you really consider WTF is next.

  • Then i suggest you check out the band Whitehouse.

  • thank you for being so fucking freaky! thank you for makeing noizzze! love this guys :)

  • Is this performance included on any DVD?? i want to have it so badly :)

  • I know it's on the old Industrial Revolution VHS, which this is from, but idk if it was ever released on DVD.

  • Endlich mal ein Videoclip, aus dem man das Schlagwerk und die Dynamik einigermaßen raushören kann.

  • love the use of guitars as percussion here. the stops are cool. and the german ranting on a megaphone is priceless. classic vid.

  • No beauty without danger..

  • @Hirnlego999 No kidding. This is AMAZING. Why don't we have MORE exposure for bands like this? Trent Reznor needs to make acknowledge the roots and give them the credit they deserve. SO FABULOUS.

  • @murasaki9 We don't have more bands like this because people is habituated to listen commercial music. If you ask me, in my country you can always listen the same music at the streets and all pepole are ok. but when I dare to turn up the volume in my car stereo listening to EN, everybody creeps out... My dream of all the life, is have a band like these guys, even before know them...

Fabulous band, incredible songs... I love Einstürzende Neubauten! :D

  • @Hirnlego999 thats total bullshit

  • @dawnatilla

You didn't get the reference? Ein lied: Keine Schoenheit Ohne Gefahr...

  • @Hirnlego999 Im looking at the comments wondering what I said was bullshit...I read all yours...hmmm? Ich habe den Hinweis, so zu sagen...my mom is from mannheim. well, cheers!!!

  • @dawnatilla

A reminder. I typed: "No beauty without danger". You replied to that: "thats total bullshit". And again I replied "You didn't get the reference? Ein lied: Keine Schoenheit ohne gefahr"..

  • @Hirnlego999 ohne Frage

  • Eargashplitenloudenboomer

  • Fucking awesome!

  • Be great if Faust did a tour with E.N.

  • Groovy man!

  • I remember you playing these for me on the record player back on Main st. It was like brain candy . lol Now Im going to look up soviet france. See ya .

  • This's really blow me away...

  • Amazing.

Reminds me a little of Akira Yamaoka's compisitions for the Silent Hill game series.

Spooky, completely mental, and grandiously seizure-inducing. How I like my music. <3

  • Headcleaner - does what it says on the tin...

  • Silence! Music.

  • MUSICK !

  • MUZIK!!!!!!!!!! XD

  • Wakes me up & excites the brain in an unexpectedly VONDERFUL way!!! that which might be despised & crass can yet cometogether in an ensaemble of wicked harmony...still keeping you on your bloody toes in slight horror & awe* fuck yesss! thanks for the video *SaintEuchrid*

  • Wow. Really...interesting.

    Cool.

  • Wow. really...interesting.

    Cool.

  • "A match stuck in my throat" - Speechless admiration

  • My favourite Einsturzende composition, and Tabula Rasa is my favourite album.

Listen to this on an mp3 while wandering through a city at night; terrifying yet exhilarating!

  • europe response to sonic youth in dark tones

  • it´s a shame, most people in germany don´t know e.n. these days or don´t understand that e. n. are one of the greatest artists (people doin´art!!!) of modern times. i don´t say that cause i´m german, it´s just what i think, propably there are similar "cases" all over the world. i can´t remember heavin´read anything about e.n. in german newspapers or havin´seen anyhing about them on german t.v. ever...maybe people in berlin know more about them but the rest of germany??? i wonder why i know e.n.

  • You have to listen to this track on CD, on headphones. Studioversion. It blows you away, it's like shakeing you up, making you say "What... fuck you... or fuck me... I don't know...!" It's a real Kopfsäuberer! Enjoy!!

  • What I like to listen to when I have a hangover.

  • Live version is SO much more powerfull than the studio version. :(

  • That's probably their most "useful" song.

  • I like what Blixa is doing with his voice here.

  • nice, i like

  • Total headcleaner. Especially if listened at 5 am :), like I do.

And if you had the luck to witness this song performed life, you know what I'm talking about.

    Brilliance!

  • Saw the Tabula Rasa tour at St.Andrew's hall in Detroit, and even with a subpar p.a. they tore it up. Life-changing performance. Peace.

  • I also saw them as well on this tour in Seattle, and with the full length Headcleaner... easily the heaviest metal song that I've ever heard, and I've heard quite a bit... When Blixa screams into his bullhorn - what great earspliting feedback and you are 100% correct 'life changing' Too bad they will never tour the states anymore - they can't afford it...

  • I've never been to Germany but would love to go if for anything to see a live show.

  • good show

  • Amazing, danke.

  • Spotless. And yet, stained all over.

  • Magnifici

  • Wunderschön!

  • So fucking beautiful, so fucking brilliant.

  • fucking immense

  • Oh and I met N.U. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:

  • Neubauten played Glasgow 2 days ago ...... it wasnt as good as the last time I seen them but still utterly brilliant :D:D:D

  • wow that hurt

but in a good way, thanks for the upload

  • This has to be one of my favorite live songs ever. Headphones on... it's like a drug.

Oh and I agree with "discipline".

  • This brings back some fantastic memories! The Tabula Rasa tour was phenomenal - I caught it at Roseland in NYC. We weaseled "press passes" since we worked at WUSB and got to hang out during the warm-up. Miranda Sex Garden opened. Damned fine memory.

  • + 1

Best show ever. The last "real" Neubauten tour (w/ Einheit & Chung). One of the highlights of my life, honestly! Remember the giant oil drum thing N.U. was banging on? And Miranda Sex Garden... they just kicked so much ass it wasn't funny...

  • I was there too. Totally unforgettable. Obviously, since 13 years later I'm still looking for videos of it.

  • They toured last year in Europe for their 25th Anniversary. Almost every show from the last two years is available for purchase at the website neubauten.org. They are currently working on a new album, and there will be a live DVD recorded in 2004 coming out soon too. Info is at the above mentioned website.

  • Blixa's scream is maybe has sexy has silence ... don't you feel little thrills when you're listening to this?

  • My favourite EN song - thanks for posting it. They're touring again in 2007.

  • Yes!!!! True industrial, like Foetus, Nurse With Wound and TG.

  • like??? wtf?? neubauten was there ages before! foetus? is that a soda brand? ya and i also love nurses...

  • Not so sure about Foetus, my friend.i think they started about the same time. Anyway, they are freinds: i met FM Einheiut on a train once, had a chat with him and we talked about Foetus to, to whom he referred as "Jim..yeah..always busy working , that guy..".

  • true industrial. I hope or wish that they still tour, because I would love to see this live. Blixa is the man. Also check out throbbing gristles "discipline"

  • Neubauten does still tour, I caught them about 3 or four years ago in NYC, what an incredible show.
