@erosalexen Wow sister! So sorry for your misfortune. But sounds like YOUR HEAT APPLIANCE WAS TOO HOT! It's not luck, it's the high heat temperatures on the appliances you are using. CHECK YOUR HEAT SETTINGS. These products are wonderful. :))
i guess this all depends on the person's hair. I straightened my hair a few months after goinng natural (~2-1/2inch length ) and it was silky straight... I just let it air dry after combing it out and flatironed w/o blow drying. My hair was super straight, the PROB: some sections of my hair lost the kinky/curl; curl patterns were looser and others still fro like. I had to cut about an inch of hair of because it would just hang straight and not curl even after3 weeks of giving it a chance.
@erosalexen Unfortunately, this is a common problem when using flat irons or hot combs that are too hot...the danger is you lose curl. After I took my daughter to have her hair pressed, we noticed that she has patches of hair that reverted back and other patches that stayed straight after washing. According to the natural hair blogs I read, time is the only solution.

It's not the comb that makes straight hair, any REAL ceramic flat iron will. First, you add flaxseed gel and conditioner to freshly washed hair. Second, If you stretch your hair out with twists or plaits, braids etc until it's very loose waves.It will be straighter. Third, your hair should be combed until it fans out. Next, take a chunk of hair and do the chase and comb method on each lock and wrap it. Your hair should be very bouncy, shiny and straight. That's how I straighten my hair.

Hi, thank u for this video.. I haven't straighten my natural hair yet. I've only been natural for only ten months. I don't like to flat iron. My hair is very sensitive. Would this work if I just blow dry my hair?
im already naturally curly, more like a loose wave in my crown area. i do have a friend that has a tighter coil pattern. she wants me to straighten her hair for her but i know her hair will curl up. i will have to use diff products in her hair than i do in mine bcuz i have trained my hair to be worn either curly or straight. she wears braids or her fro, but i wanna do something diff. this gel seems really good and moisturizing with great shine. ill see how it works for her :)

@HEKNOWSTHEPLANS Hello there! In this video, she is using a very old Sapphire flat iron. Old as in Dinosaur. Since the products don't chemically alter the texture of hair, exposing hair to elements such as water will reverse hair back to it's normal physical state. You can try pulling the hair gently into a ponytail while playing or working out to allow stretching allowing hair to dry in this position.

At about 2:08 i think you use some soufflé and went over the hair once w/the flat iron. But for the second section you didn't use any soufflé and went over the hair about three times plus brushed it. Is this to show that even though you blow dried with the gel, the soufflé needs to be used in flat iron to make the hair REALLY shine? And only pads with the flat iron is necessary?

Exactly what procuct did you use in her hair and the flatiron. My hair texture is different from my daughter's. I currently use ghd's and coconut oil and conditioner. It last for a day if heat out side is not great. What suggestions do you have for making it last and overnite procedures for keeping the straight look longer?

Seriouz Question: I am trying to stretch my relaxers past the 6 wkz. I can do tht with buns n weave ponytails but i wnt to wear my hair straight also without having to blowing out the roots. @Alineniz I will never be straightening my daughters hair. When she is old enough and decides to do so, she will be doing it herself. I find it interesting that it is normal for black women to straighten their hair, but if a white person gets locks/braids or perms their hair to have an afro-type texture they are looked down by many black people. -shrug- People can do what they want with their hair, but I will never encouraging straightening kinky/curly hair.

How does this product work with curl retention? The last time I flat ironed my hair, there were a few sections that refused to revert back to their curly state. They just kind of hung there like relaxed hair does as you're transitioning. If I used this product to flat iron, would it protect my hair from heat damage as well? Could you use it for a roller set?

her hair looks nice, how high was the flat iron and does it have temperature settings, how long did her hair last like that, did it stay straight for awhile. What blow dryer did you use, did u blow dry on high or low. Also did you blow dry her hair while dripping wet, semi dry. Also what hair type your daughter has.

@Doris76 Hello Doris! We're so happy for you! :) For thicker hair, you MUST take the time to blow dry properly.Apply a small amount of both products to damp hair and work the product through hair. Next part into 4 sections and blow dry each section. After hair is dry, part hair into 4 sections and flat iron. For thicker hair, flat iron thinner sections of hair for each pass of the flat iron applying small amounts of product to coat but not wet hair as shown in video away from scalp.

im already naturally curly, more like a loose wave in my crown area. i do have a friend that has a tighter coil pattern. she wants me to straighten her hair for her but i know her hair will curl up. i will have to use diff products in her hair than i do in mine bcuz i have trained my hair to be worn either curly or straight. she wears braids or her fro, but i wanna do something diff. this gel seems really good and moisturizing with great shine. ill see how it works for her :)

Since the products don't chemically alter the texture of hair, exposing hair to elements such as water will reverse hair back to it's normal physical state. You can try pulling the hair gently into a ponytail while playing or working out to allow stretching allowing hair to dry in this position.

At about 2:08 i think you use some soufflé and went over the hair once w/the flat iron. But for the second section you didn't use any soufflé and went over the hair about three times plus brushed it. Is this to show that even though you blow dried with the gel, the soufflé needs to be used in flat iron to make the hair REALLY shine? And only pads with the flat iron is necessary?

Exactly what procuct did you use in her hair and the flatiron. My hair texture is different from my daughter's. I currently use ghd's and coconut oil and conditioner. why is straight and shiny hair ("relaxed look") considered beautiful? Having natural hair is about recognizing that kinky, non-shiny no-straight hair is ok, it's beautiful as is, as long as it's healthy. I find it interesting that it is normal for black women to straighten their hair, but if a white person gets locks/braids or perms their hair to have an afro-type texture they are looked down by many black people. -shrug- People can do what they want with their hair, but I will never encouraging straightening kinky/curly hair.

How does this product work with curl retention? The last time I flat ironed my hair, there were a few sections that refused to revert back to their curly state. They just kind of hung there like relaxed hair does as you're transitioning. If I used this product to flat iron, would it protect my hair from heat damage as well? Could you use it for a roller set?

@Doris76 Hello Doris! We're so happy for you! :) For thicker hair, you MUST take the time to blow dry properly.Apply a small amount of both products to damp hair and work the product through hair. Next part into 4 sections and blow dry each section. After hair is dry, part hair into 4 sections and flat iron. For thicker hair, flat iron thinner sections of hair for each pass of the flat iron applying small amounts of product to coat but not wet hair as shown in video away from scalp.

Pour des cheveux plus épais, fer plat mince sections de cheveux à chaque passage du fer plat application de petites quantités de produit pour enduire les cheveux, mais pas mouillé comme le montre la vidéo loin de cuir chevelu. Vous devez également utiliser un fer plat avec la chaleur.
