I was blessed to attend this concert at Three Rivers Stadium. I'm sure there was a mushroom cloud rising from the stadium. After Stairway, there was this huge box in front of the stage and 100's of white doves came flying out. What a trip! Fantastic concert. I paid $4 for the ticket. Phenomenal! Thank God for Rock 'n' Roll!!!
@larrylion1 I too was at that concert. Me and 3 of my buddies drove up from Youngstown. We almost got killed going up there. Guy driving pulled into the other lane of the interstate in front of another car. To this day can't figure out how we didn't get nailed. Vivid memory of Jimmy Page taking the violin bow and doing his thing with the guitar
I was at this concert. I was let in free, back stage, by a security guard. The group didn't actually pull up in a Rolls Royce they arrived in Caddys. I ran up to the vehicles and looked in the windows. After the first song started the guard let us in. I actually walked up on stage, exactly from where this video was shot, and was on stage for one song before I was discovered and put over the wall.
Best concert experience of my life! Hands down. I still have the t-shirt I bought for $7!
-Do bands like Zeppelin, Floyd, The Doors, Hendrix and the Who give you chills? Are you physically attracted to seeking truth in music? Well I am formally inviting you to take a listen to my channel, relax and let you ears fully enjoy my sound. I would love it if you took the time, they wont leave you disapointed. And in case if you end up liking it, your subscribtion to my channel will help me show the world my music. Much Love.
*LOVE* the 6-vehicle motorcade!!! Flashing lights, black stretch limos & all...Sirens too, from what I've heard. It looks more like it's the FBI, CIA & SS escorting the President & VP to a U.N. summit meeting!!!! : )
Just saw Plant 30 minutes ago, in Pittsburgh, and I can certainly say it was enjoyable. His voice is still awesome even if it is an octave lower. Amazing.
★Led Zeppelin★ remain the greatest rock band to ever set foot on a stage. No band before or since has even come close. Zep's first six albums so far, have sold 76-million copies just in the U.S. alone, that's an average of 12.6 million per album. No music artist of any genre has ever matched this feat.
Maybe it's the poor sound quality? Nah, they just sound lame. I love Zep, but hey, even the best have off nights (or years). Too bad they chose to play like like garbage in my home town!!
Oh why did they have to stop touring the US in summer of '77? Couldn't they have come back in '78, at least? It's right when I was allowed to go to rock concers. ):
Pull up in a Rolls Royce..what a crazy lifestyle.
But they became famous and rich because they did what they did so well. If it didn't pay any money they'd still do it. They just loved playing-especially the blues. So many artists from Great Britain talk about the influence of American blues and what it meant to them.
They be playing in high school auditoriums if it meant they could just play.
and that reminds me of The Doors DID play in a high school!!

Yes. Unbuttoned shirt was quite revolutionary. Now you have to tattoo and pierce all your body and nobody gives a damn.
I just regret the drugs. They all and still consume to much. Please! Try to reduce the harms. Use drugs but don't let it take over.
John Bonham I wish you were here!
