Such tasty drumming. Mick had so much judgment. Keeping it simple despite stunning abilities. To me, most bands have one person that is absolutely central to their sound even though you don't necessarily realize it at first. Rolling Stones - Keef; Zep - Bonzo. Dead - Phil Lesh. Fleetwood Mac -- definitely Mick Fleetwood. Not saying the other folks aren't important, but there is that one element that is their essence.

This Buckingham versus Greeny get a little bit annoying. I admire both guitar players. Buckingham is part of the more famous version of FM, but he's also much more underrated than Green, who's got the critical acclaim. He has that incomparable fingerpickingstyle. But I am also a very big fan Danny Kirwan, who was part of Green's FM, but also of the beginning of the so-called mid-period (with Bob Welch, C.McVie). He is probably more underrated than any FM guitarplayer.

Well, Peter Green composed the original song. But this is a completely reworked version, with only a slight resemblance to the original. I guess you're aware that Peter did the same with some old blues songs. So, let's judge the merits of this version, arranged by Buckingham and C. McVie, who vocally sound stunning together harmonizing.

Hey Lindsey fan. Lindsey couldn't have been friendlier,kinder or more genuine when " the brave " and I met him after the opening night of the Rumours tour in London ( Rainbow Theatre ) . We were catching a little plane out of a tiny airport the next day when he walked right in front . I told him we'd loved the band since the Green days and he took us to meet the band. " Perfect" Mac and Fleet and Stevie seemed eager to hear our take on the new disc . They invited us to see them in AmDam.

Depending on who you are, each era of the Mac provokes strong reactions from it's fans. Whether it's the early blues period led by Peter Green, through to transitional period of Bob Welch, then the California pop/rock super era of Lindsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks......

Throughout it all, the Mac grew, evolve and incorporated different elements thanks to ALL it's members!

I thought the authors of this song were Christine Mcvie/Lindsey buckingham. I got one of their greatest hits cd and the liner notes say CM/LB. I do not know how or if Peter Green is involved int his song.

...Not only that but I applaud Lindsey for really making this band something completely different and succeeding. Can you imagine any other band going through so many line up changes and still being so successful? Just think if a band like Led Zeppelin had replaced Plant & Page... Nobody would've given a shit about Led Zeppelin anymore. Fleetwood Mac not only did just that, but they did it multiple times and in some ways became even bigger. I think what they accomplished was pretty awesome.

Why can't people just separate the Buckingham-Nicks Mac and Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac? I personally prefer Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac too but these are basically two different bands. The Fleetwood Mac we see here was going in a completely new direction and what's wrong with that? I personally think its great and it shows nothing but respect for Peter Green and all the members inbetween. They are not up there trying to copy his style or continuing to make money off of his name

An amazing freak coincidence of talent, especially their voices which blend so perfectly ... when you compare this version of Fleetwood Mac with the earlier ones, you can see they where fast on their way to obscurity, and then along came Stevie and Lindsey, and the whole thing just made sense: it was lightening in a bottle.

"Rhiannon" ,"Say That You Love Me" and "Landslide" may have been well known from the FLEETWOOD MAC album (1975), but "World Turning" stands on its own as a great track. Kick ass bass work from John McVie along with Lindsey Buckingham's guitar work. This track should've been released as a single because Christine McVie and Buckingham are great together.

This incarnation of Fleetwood Mac is great, the most successful commercially, but the embodiment of FM? Try watching Peter Green, the original embodiment of cool, the best white blues guitarist ever.
