ugh...WHATEVER HAPPENED to that amazing rough edged music?!?! 90's underground rock was like a beautiful rusty nail you wanted to step on, and didn't care about the consequences. This band, Girls Against Boys, were so underrated. My buddy Lucas and I had the privilege to hangout with these guys in Tulsa, OK during their prime. Scott McCloud, vocals and guitar, was an awesome "influence" to be around that evening. In other words, we had fun ;)
kill the drummer, he can't play!!! cool video... unfortunately, i never saw it until now. All eMpTV played was the Soul Asylum track, & of course Alice in Chains... a lot of good bands/songs on this soundtrack.
Fucking amazing! Never made a music video before but I'm trying. My name is Erik Bocek and I like long walks on sandy beaches and men who aren't afraid to cry. :)
So..I'm the first guy that comes into the porno shop, blonde..black overcoat. Still have my VHS copy.
It was a fun day, shot on 8th Ave in Manhattan. If you look at the front of the counter u can partially see the poster for the John Bobbit porno he made, obviously, after his dick was sewn back on. That's something that sticks out about the day...weird thing to remember.
Anyway, whether u like the video or not, it looked good on my resume, and worked well
I was given a wonderful description for this band. How dark and sinister their sound was. So far...and given the extreme quality of bands in their era...these guys are totally lame.
I love Girls Against Boys, but if you like them as well, you really ought to hear the Fall as well. Much of their material, and especially this song, is rather like The Fall. In a good way, of course.

One of their best songs, yes, but I wouldn't necessarily say THE best. I could tick off at least five others I'd place alongside "Kill the Sexplayer."
I wish to God this song wasn't presented in the context of "Clerks" -- a simple-minded movie that, in my opinion, should never have gained the attention it did.
are you kidding me? clerks is a one of a kind, most original comedy made on a really low budget. yet due to it's unique humor and extremely well written dialogue achieved overwhelming success. which it rightfully deserved. clerks is a classic.
The rest of the view askewniverse doesn't exist for me when i'm watching this movie its like an alternative universe. I like it but it doesn't match up.

If you like this than pick up look up the song Classical by The Fall to see the source of GVSB's influence. Two of the greatest bands

I was going to say the same exact thing.
GVSB remind me of what would would happen if you put 'The Fall' and 'Jesus Lizard' in a blender yet they still have a sound all their own.
