  • My boyfriend is bhutanese and we are falling in love now. I love him cuz he's so perfect for me.

  • bhutal is a nine country with a great king taking care of. but if it wasn't christians making schools and hospitals and other services in the north eastern part of india it would have stayed into dark age till date. oh and gross happiness of pakistan with all the terrorists in it is higher than ours. you can google it.

  • very lovely country........ greetings from india

  • fu 240

  • King of Bhutan is superb, even though his country has been invaded by Chinese over 20% of land, he never mentioned about it while visiting Japan, but made a great speech regarding friendship between Bhutan and Japan. Such attitude deeply impressed Japanese. In addition, King has special kind of air which no one but few saints have. He is a true King.

  • King and Queen of Bhutan are visiting Japan now. I am impressed by the King's speech made in the Diet. I am so moved by his speech and I cannot stop crying since I watched it this morning. I feel strong gratitude toward the King and Queen for having come to Japan. Sorry for my poor English.

  • while no country or people are perfect, bhutan and the bhutanese people comes closest to perfection.

i sincerely hope that they get involved with the perfidious chinese regime, which will destroy these wonderful people.

my best to the bhutanese people.

p.s. even though i was born a muslim, i urge you people to stay away from monotheistic faiths, particularly islam.

  • i hope no christian or muslim missions are goign there they need to stop

  • @HanDynasty26349 i hope so... they just destroy cultures... look at japan... no christian, no muslim...

  • @scorpioninpink I agree they destroy so much cultures and then they try to adapt stuff and then claim that its part of their religion after they completely destroyed a religion like some pagan religions the christians adapted some of their holidays and then renamed it to conceal the evidence

  • @HanDynasty26349 that is so true...

  • @scorpioninpink look at japan: no kids

  • @HanDynasty26349

i agree...though i am a born muslim..but people have destroyed the monotheistic religions by their stubborn dogmas...i just hope india stop manipulating bhutan...e.g bhutan cant enjoy full bilateral relations with pakistan cuz india 'doesnt like it'...i mean WTF!!!!!!!!!!

  • @rabiaadam

Please Bhutan shares an open border with India. You Pakistani's shouldn;t talk shit....you bring a lot of problems wherever you go. Thats the reason they don;t want your kind over there...Got it? Stinky haremi bitch

  • @thendino1 ur language shows the kinda values ur family and ur country teaches u!

  • @rabiaadam bhutan don't like terrorists its simple

  • @sourabhsh111 look i am not into indo/pak rivalry etc....i just dont like countries manipulating inferior countries...if pakistan does so then thats outrageous....so is for any other country....its an open fact india has a big role in bhutan's foreign policy....any sane person would agree dat people should discourage such things nd first their own self...so peace out dude!!

  • @rabiaadam its true that india has a big role in bhutan's foreign policy....but u know why is that so.....bhutan is a pure country within monarchy....they don't want outside world to corrupt their religion or culture.....like it has been done by muslims and christians in india....tibet too was a pure country untill china annexed it...china was 100% ready to engulf bhutan too....but india intervained it and protected them on every

platform....bhutan now have diplomatic relations with many nations

  • @sourabhsh111 i am sorry india isnt the kinda country who protects like some angel,i mean look at kashmir.bhutan relys on india bcz india is the stongest neighbour...so instead of fightin, she agrees to india term.when pM of PAKISTAn visited bhutan india was suddenly put into a high alert nd afterwards indian delegate contacted king of bhutan...like pakistan stresses over india's growing presence in afghanistan...it will probably always be like dat unless our leaders get brainy!;p

  • if everybody lives like they do in bhutan there woudn´t be any problems in the world...

sry for my bad english :) greetings from Germany!

  • @chwh66h Not really a Buddhist then are you.

  • The most fortunate people on this earth. If reincarnation happens, I want to be born in Bhutan.

  • i wanna go tu bhutan!!!!!!!!!!!!...maybe some day.... grettings from Mexico

  • @pepedeturista2

lol we apenas iba a escribir lo mismo jaja

  • Great Video. Am impressed. Check out this other great video by Ted Henry of Channel 5 News, Ohio in bhutan. The video is at lhayul(.)com

  • I wish a lot of this would stay the same.

  • "Gross National Happiness".....Many other countries need to learn this concept...Especially America. Our GNH must be close to ZERO.

  • I'm impressed. I hope the Bhutanese will be pure like this forever!

  • Wow great video! this country looks amazing i hope i can travel there one day!!

  • Wish Srilankan buddhists learn to be paecful and carm like these bhutan pepole

  • Love ur country.Blessings from Srilanka. We are buddhist too

  • @Chamath5 ..Love both ur countries. Buddhism is an Indian religion, what happened why did it die out in India ? Sri lanka still practices Theravada Buddhism which is the Earliest form of Buddhism. Bhutan actually practices Tibetan Buddhism.

  • @workhardt2 Buddhism never died out in India, but it became absorbed in Hinduism especially after the destruction of the great Buddhist university of Nalanda in the 11th century by Muslim invaders. It never completely vanished and is reviving, albeit not always in the way it should.

  • @kumarsa108

That true, I heard that before, Hinduism has actually absorbed Buddhism. Gandhi, in the early 1900 practised non-violence, ahimsa, etc which were actually Buddha teaching, that were later absobed into Hinduism. Buddhism, did not have any deity worship this probably was one reason why Hinduism triumphed over Buddhism.

  • @workhardt2 Ahimsa is also in Jainism and mentioned in the Yajur Veda, but the ideologies of Buddhism and Jainism had a profound impact in transforming Hinduism. I would agree that the concept of divinity in Hinduism ultimately drew common people more towards it. Even in many Buddhist countries have an undercurrent of deity worship.

  • what a peaceful and green place, a paradise in the earth !

  • what a peaceful and green place

  • I want to visit Bhutan one day! I work with a Bhutanese guy whom I called father. Although he is not my real father I feel so connected to him! I'm Cambodian and we are Bhuddist also! Buddhism will bring peace to this world!

  • Globalization destroy places like this

  • @1stdudo It's sad that i have to agree with you :( but you are right. Now that Bhutan is open to internet and television they are basically advertising themselves and people will see this. I hope that Globalisation is not the case as Bhutan is such a peaceful and beautiful place :)

  • This video maybe old, but it covers everything you need to know about Bhutan!!!

  • exotic!

  • the reasons why i love bhutan..

  • @Darkiver That's good to hear. How come India didn't support Tibet which is right on their border?

  • @MardukHail OF COURCE WE SUPPORT TIBET WHY ELSE U THINK THE DALAI LAMA AND MAJORITY OF THE TIBETAN POPULATION SHIFTED TO INDIA WITHOUT THINKING TWICE .. INDIA NOT BIENG THERE FOR TIBET WEN IT WAS ATTACKED BY THE CHINESE WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKES THE INDIAN GOVERNMENT DID .. BUT I GUESS THE NEWLY INDEPENDENT INDIA WAS IN NO POSITION TO OPPOSE A WELL ORGANISED CHINESE ARMY BACK THEN. .. BUT IT WUDNT BE RIGHT TO THINK DAT INDIA DOESNT SUPPORT TIBET.

  • Fantastic!

  • can anyone help me with this question,i heard from many of my friends that there is an ancient martial art native to bhutan similar to kung fu and its very rare but very effective,is it true?????????????????????

  • very interesting. nicely made

  • TV will soften these people up for the Chinese. What he calls loyalty is really addiction. Once corporations have destroyed their culture, family, and authority with television and bought the MPs, China's 70 million boys with no marriage prospects will be military age. They will eat happy democratic TV addled Bhutan like a steak.

  • @MardukHail

Bhutan is under NATO style military protection with India, China would literally be engaging in full scale war with India if it attacked Bhutan.

  • @MardukHail YEAH MAN DATS TRUE.. I HOPE DAT DOESNT HAPPEN WID BHUTAN .. DEMOCRACY IS ONLY A MEDICINE FOR A SYSTEM WHOSE ROYALTY CAN NO LONGER DO GOOD OF THE PEOPLE.. DATS THE TRUTH ABOUT DEMOCRACY.. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY IS THEIR KING TRYING TO FIX SOMETHING DAT ISNT BROKEN. GRANTED HE WANTS TO DO EVERY GOOD DATS POSSIBLE FOR HIS PPL BUT WEN HE AND HIS KIND AVE A SANE MIND WHY SHIFT THE COUNTRY INTO MESSY DEMOCRACY. THERE ARE A TRILLION WAYS THROUGH WHICH PPL CAN BE MADE TRULY HAPPY

  • A GOOD AND WISE KING WHO LOVES HIS PEOPLE WILL GET THE PEOPLE'S LOVE AND LOYALTY IN RETURN.

SIMPLE BHUTAN IS AN EXAMPLE OF PARADISE.

  • they should send muslim extremist to this country to desensitized them to violence and hatred

  • Bhutan offers, what other doesn't have at all. It's virtually a unique destination and is priceless. If you are seeking for a shopping paradise or lots of nightlife, Bhutan is not a destination to come. But in the 21st century world, if you are looking for a destination where you can experience blending of past & present, people & nature unspoiled rich aged old traditions and culture, well Bhutan is a place to be.

  • @chinkoninja they do have democracy the held elections for the ministers in 2008, what they dnt have is american democracy which turns everything to mcdonalds

  • starting reading about this country.... really cool place.. one of the last "kingdoms" in the modern world ... i would like to go to this part of the world someday...

  • We wudn't mind....in fact wud appreciate it. We'd just submerge into America n hv lots more than wat we hv ryt now. :) lol....... I can't just imagine dese jealous people being sad ......... :(

  • I would love to see the Americans introduce democracy to this peaceful kingdom.

  • @chinkoninja If Americans invaded this kingdom we would have more obese people more mcdonalds and you would destroy another perfectly fine country.

  • I heard that Bhutan was recently turned into a constitutional monarchy with parliament, and from now on the king has no political rule.

    Is this correct?

  • @saulwilliams56: yes I do. no one has a ryt 2 speak da way u did abt my country. n seriously, u shudn't b going thru our videos if u dislike us. tel me,does ur own religion (wateva it is) teach u to speak nonsense abt others' nations?one more thg, u had tried to discuss abt de ethnic cleansing in bhutan.dat happened yrs back n i don't deny dat allegation.but stil, a hand doesn't make a sound of a clap.i myself belong to the nepali ethnicity n i hail from da south.we get paid for our own actions.

  • for all you extreme right-wing nationalists that get offended when i criticise the horrific, inhumane treatment of the nepalese watch this: watch?v=IFEZMFnL0tE&feature=related

  • @saulwilliams56: just shut up n mind ur own biz. u need to get kicked at ur balz. luk at ur own tradition, culture, country,,,, then u talk abt ours. u r simply sick n envy us.

if u don't lyk our kingdom, y do u bother to watch da videos? btw, ur disliking doesn't make any sense n we don't count da m.fuckers like ya. to hell wid ur comments. we luv our country n datz wat matters da most.

  • @kanchansubba and you consider yourself to be buddhist talking like that?

  • Bhutan is an amazing and beautiful country.

  • warning:perfect to watch when under influence of cannabis.

  • This is kind of outdated. There's a political opposition now.

  • Wise king, good people!

  • That's good! Keeping the tridition alive while slowly opeaning up to the world. Good.

Greetings from the Kingdom of Hawaii

  • Its not true that Bhutanese inhumanly removed Nepali ethnicity out of the country. There once had been too much illegal immigrants from Nepal that the govt. had to take action atleast by sending them back where they came from. Thats how the refugees in nepal originated. If one go to the refugee camp and check the people there, they are all Nepali originals and not Bhutanese. I guess illegal immigrants are treated much worse in the West.

Legal nepali immigrants are there enjoying every right

  • I miss my Motherland, I wish i would be in my country rather than United states of America. I was born in Bhutan, when i was 2 years child i became refugee in Nepal for 18 years and come to United states of America for third country resettlement. , but still i love my motherland, as "your mother and your motherland are the most important aspect of your life." I Love you Bhutan........

  • @bhutaneseinrochester ....Its natural for anyone to like ones birth place. You are not to be blamed for it.Blame the two fools who have birth in a wrong place and country and shown you a mirage which you would never catch it.Well, things must be set right so that the likes of your kind dont push away the real Bhutanese from their own country.Be happy that atleast you are being resettled in Bhutans name in USA,else if you were born in your country of origin you would be just a begger!!

  • @bhutaneseinrochester Yes this is the ugly side of Bhutan... nowhere is perfect i guess, but this country comes close otherwise.

  • Live Happily!

What a slogan for a country to have!

    Love you Bhutan!!

  • I love Bhutan...i envy their way of life...i wanna live there and forget about being wealthy, and other material needs..

  • @canttnac me too.. We're so much dependent on material needs now and "internet". I also want to enjoy the genuine and natural things life and nature can offer.

  • I can see it now - if there is one country which would become the last one to survive on Earth, it would be Bhutan.

I hope that soon something big - something disastrous - would befall on other countries, so that they can start to GENUINELY rethink their ways of life.

  • I love Bhutan

  • @arnoldlwlee it's their fucking countries and they don't want any nepals/indians in it. it's not that hard to understand. ethnic cleansing? maybe. however, view things from their perspective and not yours.

  • @Rarez2 It is A country not countries, and actually they do want thier long established minority communities that like the ruling ethnic group originated outside of Bhutan. They just dont want to be flooded by immigration, so they set a precedent, but probably did not go about it in the best way.

  • A beautiful, spiritually rich civilization!

Temple in mountains is just breathtaking

  • @chwh66h Why???

    From a peace loving Hindu.

  • "Gross National Happiness" This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing!!

  • where a despot clings to power by any means? like Barry Soetoro?

  • i am a nepali.....i dont understand why there are so many bhutanese refugees in nepal...i thinnk bhutan is way better than nepal and i would love to visit bhutan if i ever get to .......peace and long live buddhism....being a buddhist i would always hope better for buddhism

  • still looks like a quite autocratic governement

  • @mudjinga and why is this bad?

  • hi everyone, please subscribe to my channel/watch videos

watch and help your fellow bhutanese!

  • Such a lovely country!

  • @chwh66h: it doesn't matter what religion one follow...life is to short for hatred, learn to love and love everything..then you will begin to love life even if it is living under poverty...(i'm Bhutanese)

  • Wow your bhutanese, what is life like in the Bhutan, is it more traditional or modern?

  • @gatheringleaves: it is a mixture of both...traditional as well as modern...i mean we wear our national dress, ritual, sprite, festival, family (living together) as all alive and in the offices we use computers, network, database all this things are there however this things are not as advance as what the developing or developed countries have...cheers mate.

  • @zamlingnelam

What kind of music is popular in Bhutan?

  • @gatheringleaves well we listen to all sorts of music..English, Hindi, Korean, Thai, Nepali and off course our own music (dzongkha) and it can be rock, blues, pop, rap, hip-hop,country, etc...it depends upon individual preferences...

  • its not only western its been around since the beggining its good versus evil always they have been blessed by god to be kept secret and have a good hearted and minded leader but you can see the children will be entertained and excited into corruption theres people there who will betray them all for the greed of money and materialism

  • Emphasis on subjects such as controlling anger, overcoming jealousy and selfishness and promoting tolerance and patience. Wow. If only this was emphasized more in 'modern' society, perhaps the world might be a slightly better place. Bhutan is certainly very advanced spiritually. Wonderful.

  • I remember going to this country one phrase every time I think about is "WHAT A FUCKING JOKE OF A COUNTRY" you think the people line in harmony if you look at the related videos you will understand that is a joke You think they aren't materialistic or any of that shit then you have never been there they don't work at all they hire Nepalis and Indians to build everything on chunk change you can't a mile without seeing them this country sucks ass Now nepal that is an awesome place

  • @karmagelck I wish I could see what you have typed there in Tibetan (or Dzongkha???) Unfortunately, there is no auto insall font available for Tibetan/related languages. Until then, I will have to see only squares in place of Tibetan lettering.

  • Just wondering ifyou can adopt orphan children in Butan?

  • @krglongbourn: yes...there are few Bhutanese children who has been adopted and are living outside Bhutan but we don't have any orphanage..

  • Nga Druk lu gai, kaadinchey la.

    I Like Bhutan, Thank you

  • Bhutan the only 'original' country left on earth where people are living without materialistic nuisances and are happy. it's a land of infinite peace and may it remain so.

  • How do you know this? Have you been to Bhutan?

  • @gatheringleaves yes I have and loved being there everytime.

  • So where were you in Bhutan and how long ago was it? What were the people like?

  • @gatheringleaves paro and thimpu are the main places to visit. you have to go there to understand. one good word to describe the country is peaceful. it will effect body and soul. the people are very friendly and traditional.

  • cut that crap man u cal it a country .I fail to understand why doesn't India take over these tiny little spots which u call Country. As it is India need more space . See the areas in West Bengal. 3 of the top 5 densest places in the world are there . We need more space for our people So India could move its people from Bengal into these stupid places like Nepal Bhutan Bangladesh etc. Common sense man Indian Govt should act fast before a Chinese sees this comment & does the inevitable

  • @soom66 Sorry but honestly speaking Nepal is a very untrustworthy country, so are the people there. Btw if India started occupying Bhutan, Nepal then there won't be any difference between China and India. India has some morality. Also it's because of India , china still hasn't been able to take over Bhutan and will not have the guts to do so in the future. But Nepal, whoever wants that country?

  • I dont get u. wats the point of having these countries wen they dont add 2 the world economy & I didn't talk bout their people. See wat US has done. They go to a new area & take it over Cuba, G-bay, Haiti, Virgin Islands & now its the turn of fucking middle east . India should Basically run over all the people in these stupid countries & take em over & as far as China wtf guts??? they r itching to get their hands on new areas. Morality talk is crap It should be nothin before national interest

  • @soom66 cuba, haiti and all countries in the middle east are independent countries where us exercises its influence and get hate in return. that's what's happening in the world in case you don't know. as for India running over your 'stupid countries', India has quite an influence over them because they need us. also India needs them for a lot of things. they add very much to the world economy.

seems you are very far off from the reality.

  • FUCK THAT IT DOESNT MATTER . ITS A US RULE IN ALLTHESE COUNTRIES. what r u talkin bout they've their mill. bases, R&D &NASA centre they even fuking use US currency. & dont gimme shit about countries like nepal bhutan adding 2 world economy half of the world dont even know of their existence India fuking sends its engineers to build infrastructure & power in this countries & then fuking purchases the same frm them Indian Govt is so retarderd Get sum real facts bitch& come with sumthing strong

  • @soom66 i find it below me to reply to an uneducated moron. preach your political tactics to your little sister, she should like fairy tales and the dreamland.

  • @cidrose he he he zip it up 1st let me get over with ur mum she had a good night out 2day. U uneducated piece of shit go back to that fuking bhutan if u want. A fuking hypocrite I m obviously zillion times more educated more powerful more cultured more sophisticated than u scum. Cry u skinny bitch u waannabe nobel laureate frm bhutan i can smack the shitt outta u in my sleep & yes I've fairytales with ur mom in doggystyle .Got that bitch if u've stopped fingering ur sister now???? ha ha ha

  • @soom66 your swearwords doesn't quite make you seem educated at all on the contrary. i am an Indian not a bhutanese but if you are an Indian too I do feel quite ashamed. anyways take care and have a good thug life.

  • @cidrose Jeez dawg u r an Indian. why r u so interested In bhutan Dont u want India to match up to the nxt global powers. U gotta leave behind the chinese & japs in asia .India needs more area that was wat the talk bout. So ya do u live in India arent you aware of her problems 1st do sum worthwile to be called an Indian . anyways take a swig of beer &forget it

  • @soom66 you posted this comment a year ago i saw it today. I wanted to avoid it but i couldn't just do it. You call yourself an Indian??? you diverse to be citizen of no country. You motherfucker is nothing but just a burden to your country. You mentioned Indian needs some extra area rite?? well if people like you if they get ride of then the country is going to have plenty of empty space. So do your country a favor and kill yourself,

  • @kickboxer506 bada babba babba badab ba ad babd a bab a abba fuck you

  • I have visited and this is really a great place

  • It is true the happiness of the people is more important than the governments economy..

  • Anyone here been to bhutan? If so, please let me know these 3 things, I'd much appreciate.

    1) Easy to get a visa?

    2) Was it very expensive to stay? Did you have to pay for everyday you stayed?

    3) Safety. How is it in regards to safety? Did you feel welcome?

Let me know whoever has been to this beautiful country. Thanks.

  • @Neanderthalcouzin

    1. It is easy to obtain visa but you have to go through one of the tour operators in Bhutan.

    2. It will cost US$ 200 per night which inclusive of all expenses in Bhutan; food, hotel, guide, vehicle, etc.

    3. It is quite safe in Bhutan and you are most welcome as guest to this ccountry. It is really worth the visit. The Bhutanese are proud of their country and have a greal zeal in showing off the best of the country

  • @deepeeti Thanks for the reply :) Hope to go someday.

  • @Neanderthalcouzin - i haven't been to bhutan but know ppl from there..and i can answer u'r 3rd question, it 's a SAFE country. nothing to worry about. no neo-nazi type groups preying on foreigners..i mean, hello! it's a buddhist country after all! i hear it's very clean too(esp compared to it's neighbor INDIA).

  • @heomak thx for the response :)

  • It tries to show that king is very respected and doing very well to his people but its totally wrong, more then hundred thousand Bhutanese people who speaks Nepali language their house are brunt and land and their assets were seized and thousands of people were killed by King. and now 1 hundred thousands Bhutanese are living in Nepal as refuge

  • needs more weapons and porn.

  • I am glad to see a country, or better said, a people that promotes non-materialistic values and lives in harmony.

However, by opening the borders, the Pandora's box has been opened. It is just a matter of time when the Western information flood corrupts this little gem. I guess we humans are not suitable for this Western hectic lifestyle. We have made scientific advances, but with the price of our own sanity.

I envy the Bhutanese, and I hope they can retain their lifestyle as long as possible.

  • @pseudoBearmode Fully agree with you!!

  • @pseudoBearmode But the Bhutanese have a low life expectancy.

  • @pseudoBearmode Recently there have been reports that there is a growing unemployed population in the capital of Bhutan. And the government is trying to use the ECONOMY to solve the problem.

It is a worrying sign. In order to preserve their non-materialistic values they should have sent the unemployed back to the fields.

  • @pseudoBearmode the bhutanese governemnt is evil, heard of ethnic cleansing in bhutan

• @pseudoBearmode you are wrong about bhutan, they have a policy of ethnic cleansing, it is a corrupt country where people have been violently attack and brutally raped just because of their ethnicity. also the king has four wives, i dont consider that very buddhist

  • @saulwilliams56

It isn't a policy of ethnic cleansing, it's just in the south of bhutan, central and northern bhutan are fine

  • @gatheringleaves do you not understand what ethnic cleansing is? they are removing people of nepali ethnicity out of the country by force, even rape and beatings have been used, which is a clear violation of their human rights, it doesnt matter if its only in th south, its still ethnic cleansing, and is still wrong and india should be pressured to stop buying bhutan's electricity untill bhutan stops this disgusting treatment to human beings

  • @saulwilliams56

It doesn't matter, they are they illegally and are causing trouble to Bhutan, so stop complaining about a bunch of non-bhutanese getting deported, they don't belong there, they belong in India and Nepal, not Bhutan. Besides, illegal immigrants are treated much worse in other places, so it's no big deal. It's not like everyone in Bhutan is banding together and beating and deporting the Nepalis, so relax!

  • do not tell me what to do. i will make it a big deal as it is to the nepali people who have lived there for generations in bhutan. yes i know people are treated far worse in other countries, but people think that bhutan has got it right. well i am here to say it hasn't and people should do more research on a nati
