Je hebt echt mooie clips uitgezocht, en mooi gemonteerd. Alleen jammer van de videokwaliteit.. Maar dat krijg je toch niet beter op YT.

i think this sport would have a better reputation if the clothing was um... more covering. it looks rather gay considering how much they hold eachothers butts..i realize they want aerodynamics but damn. this is coming from a skater.

At the pro level, every sport worth the name makes compromises in convenience and image for performance. Does the guy rolling around your park at 5mph need a skinsuit, probably not, but at the top level it is necessary.

lol! im a speed skater and i know what you mean because my friends say the same, but among skaters, nobody looks at anyone's butt.. no one even notices, but it is definitely super super more comfortable than shorts and a shirt because of the speed, if you wear a loose shirt it will slow u down

Is this sport a matter of being the fastest or having better skills?

By that do I mean could a guy who could run a 4.4 40 yard beat a guy who is not that fast, but has done this for 10+ years?

Faster is a matter of having better skills - they're one in the same thing. Brute strength gets you nowhere once you get past the recreation level - speed comes much more from your technique than your power (though both are important).

there's 2 different kinds of skaters..

long distance and a sprinter. the sprinter will be faster than the long distance skater in a 500m or lower race, but when it comes to endurance, im talking about 100 laps on a 200m track.. then speed is not as important
