Wish there were some way to tie them together.

I mean, Ranma's best escape from his life is Fighting, something he knows a great deal about and has the ability to perform. Something to get lost in. If not Ryoga, then some opponent that can challenge him in the arena would be a good pairing, as long as it was explained well.
