I can honestly say I like your voice.... wow, trawreck combo with that guitarist. "Dave" needed to practice with you on this, A LOT. It starts to come together... a little... toward the end. Live and learn. :)
The guitar player sucks! Has he ever heard of playing in rhythm?!? The only thing I can think of is that he's never heard the song, and if that's the case, they have no business playing it.
I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but if you're not ready to perform a song, DON'T DO IT! Play something else that you know and that sounds good! I've been playing bass and guitar for over 25 years, and this is one of the many things I've learned. I love this song, but this is painful to watch.
I take singing seriously and I'm a fan of the song. But my guitarist had never heard it. So maybe he has no business playing, or wasn't prepared. But I had business singing it, and I WAS prepared. It was a high school amnesty international fundraiser... not a stadium show. It isn't my fault I can't rely on people. Maybe you can suggest a guitarist???
the vocals and guitar didn't fit together that well, seemed to me the singer was fighting to stay in time with the guitar most of the time. and the chords didnt really match the vocal notes
no, you're very right, they didn't together that well. And I was totally fighting. There was like an hour of practice altogether for 3 songs performed that night, and tabs are really crap sometimes... just so you know.
this is.... awful.
