I'm not sure I like how it appears that he is dismissing one of his best songs. He doesn't even seem interested in singing it. It seems like he is using it as background music to interact with the fans.
I realize he must have been tired of singing it....but the people who bought a ticket weren't tired of it.
I agree. He was amazing! No one else like him. Or ever will be. I saw this singer named Robert Poe who is pretty cool. He has a song posted on you tube. I heard him on a radio station when I was in NY. "I'd rather be blue" is the song and it is kinda Elvis like. But nothing comes close to Elvis
1974-77 was when elvis was at his best. its too bad epe dosent feel that way and dosent commercially release any quality merchandice during that period. cstanchik
@orkothegreat In your efforts to bring me down you will see my answer was really directed at the complete lack of professional film 1974 - May 1977. Lennon thought he died in 1960 (rubbish) and you 1968. Me and millions of others rate post 1968, In The Ghetto, Suspicious Minds, Burning Love, American Trilogy, Promised Land ,My Way and Way Down just for starters as brilliant, but then again I am an Elvis fan.
70s Hound Dog is totally different with 56s Hound Dog. I preferred the second.

Yes indeed, and there are rumours that some concerts were at least partially professionally filmed during this period.

@CSTANCHIK I'm not sure I can ever agree that '74-77 was "Elvis at his best". You just can't beat the early years. He was young and full of vigor.

I understand what you are saying but I personally prefer these live imperfect fan recordings to soundboards.
