OMG, I love this cover of Shout. If One Republic does a whole album of covers from the 80s like "Ordinary World" by Duran Duran, "Never Let Me Down Again" or "Enjoy the Silence" by "Depeche Mode" or "Bizarre Love Triangle" by New Order, "If You Leave" by OMD, "A Little Bit of Respect" by Erasure, and whatever other song they want to cover, I think I might explode from happiness.

@fitzthesoulreaper You may not have to sing the song the same way for it to be considered good, but you do have to do SOMEthing with it. One Republic did nothing with this. They could have reinterpreted it in their own style (as Gary Jules did with Mad World), but they stuck faithfully to Tears for Fears' script, a script they just don't have the ability to follow. Style is EXACTLY what this cover lacks.

This is better than original, I think that Ryan Tedder has really beatiful voice and I think that he is better singer than lead singer of Tears for Fears cause he is more talented.. Just my opinion

This isn't as good as the original, but it's not bad. I kinda wish they gave it more of that OneRepublic flavor. It sounds to much like they were trying to imitate the original.
